The Trump government is now officially paralyzed, operationally defunct

It was bound to happen sooner or later, and it happened today. The irony is, Trump himself ended the effectiveness of his own government.

First, some background, Trump has used executive privilege to prevent Don McGahn, former White House counsel, testifying before Congress.

Trump has used executive privilege to prevent Congress from seeing the full, unredacted version of the Mueller Report and the underlying evidence.

Trump's attorney general, William Barr, refused to appear before Congress to answer questions about the Mueller Report..

Trump has vowed to fight "all the subpoenas" issued by Congress.

Trump has forced his SecTreas to break the law, and Mnuchin refuses to turn over Trump's tax returns, the first President to do so in 50 years.

The Trump White House has not held a press conference in nine weeks, and Trump has held only two press conferences in 29 months. He will not hold another. He literally is afraid of the White House press corps and often refuses to answer reporters' questions.

In other words, Trump is covering up, stonewalling.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated the obvious when she said, "we believe that the President of the United States is engaged in a cover-up."

Trump exploded as he usually does when faced with unpleasant reality. When the truth is bad, he says the opposite. "I don't do cover-ups," he said. Trump has his own reality.

Speaking minutes after abruptly cutting short a meeting at the White House with Pelosi and her Senate counterpart Sen. Chuck Schumer, Trump announced he wouldn't attempt any further bipartisanship until the congressional investigations conclude.

"I've said from the beginning -- right from the beginning -- you probably can't go down two tracks. You can go down the investigation track or you can go down the investment track," Trump said.

He added, "We're going to go down one track at a time. Get these phony investigations over with."

After admitting he can't walk and chew gum at the same time, Trump effectively ended the operation of the Trump government.

Typically for Trump, he refused to answer questions after his rant and stomped back into the White House.

 

Trump is such an idiot, that he walks out of a meeting about much needed infrastructure, and stands in front of the cameras to blame the Democrats behind a podium that looks like this

Not only throws himself under the bus by having signs pre-made ready for the walk-out. But also makes a great campaign ad for the Democrats.

 

Bipartisan Senate leaders are expressing optimism over budget talks, but a meeting between top lawmakers and administration officials concluded on Tuesday without a deal. Earlier in the day, McConnell called the meeting with the top four congressional leaders from both parties and several top administration officials "very encouraging" and said, "Our hope is to make a deal before the day is over."

Trump announced he wouldn't attempt any further bipartisanship until the congressional investigations conclude.

Well, all that is in limbo now.

 

He proved today, just how much a baby he really is.
If he wants the investigations to end, cooperate and get them over.

 

He doesn't want the investigations to end. He wants them to stop.

 

No one will ever accuse Dirty Donald of being a genius,or should I say no sane person.

 

The Democrats are blowing an opportunity to recapture the stage. They should send legislation to the Senate on opioid drug addiction, infrastructure, immigration, and wages. Then let the Senate stew over the details. Make their legislation in a public announcement with a bipartisan invitation to enter into discussion/negotiations.. When the hell did it become necessary to negotiate a bill with the president before forwarding it to the other side of the aisle? Especially this dirty little man in the White House. They look weak. Both sides. A pox on both their houses.

 

Lolz ... it's only Pelosi's "superior branch of government" that's paralyzed. The Senate's on track to confirm another 200 federal judges, and Grassley & Nunes committees are sailing through newly declassified evidence. The DOJ is selecting a case to submit to the Supreme Court in order to obtain a permanent ruling on nationwide injunctions. Activist judges rulings will be enforceable only in their courts jurisdiction afterwards. Cummings bogus subpoena will also be brought before the SCOTUS, and besides the blistering rebuke of the lower court ruling, the SCOTUS will render another permanent decision on congressional subpoenas. MAGA ... all day ... every day.

 

Trump is paralyzed due to defending 30 bogus investigations. But Democrats love this; it limits what Trump can do.

 

You should Google something like "House passes bill" and you'll see the Dems are trying to conduct the nation's biz.

Read the OP. See what Trump is doing. For an innocent man he is acting very guilty. An innocent man would have cooperated with the House, anxious to get it over with.

But Trump isn't doing that. He is covering up, and he just took the himself out of the picture where governance is concerned.

Ask yourself a question. Why would an innocent President do that? Don't answer to me. It would be B.S.; we both know that. Answer to yourself.
