By a wide margin, the U.S. has more immigrants than any other country in the world. As of 2015, the United Nations estimates that 46.6 million people living in the United States were not born there. This means that about one-in-five international migrants (19%) live in the U.S. The U.S. immigrant population is nearly four times that of the world’s next largest immigrant destination – Germany, with about 12 million immigrants.

U.S. arrests along Mexico border top 2 million a year for first time

The total, which includes some people apprehended more than once, far exceeds last year’s record of more than 1.7 million arrests.

Biden administration officials also say the high border numbers are distorted by repeat crossing attempts by migrants who have been previously arrested. Last month, 22 percent of those taken into custody had a prior arrest in the previous 12 months, the latest figures show.

In per capita rates, the United States place 19th out of 24 countries. That means that the United States received fewer immigrants per capita in 2012-13 compared with several European countries, New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

America Is One of the Least “Generous” Countries on Immigration
The United States ranks in the bottom third of wealthy countries in terms of net new immigration as a share of total population from 2015 to 2017 as well as total foreign‐born residents as a share of total population, according to figures from the United Nations.

Of the 232 jurisdictions that the UN includes, America ranks just 64th overall. Focusing on the rate of new immigrants as a share of total population, the United States had only the 49th highest net immigration rate from 2015 to 2017 (inflows minus outflows of foreign residents divided by total population). This places the United States rank in the 72nd and 79th percentiles in the world, respectively.

42 Suspected Terrorists Have Been Apprehended at Our Southern Border Since Biden Took Office

    APR 20, 2022 | Staff •

Since Joe Biden took office and started implementing his radical open border policies, 42 people on the terrorist watchlist have been apprehended attempting to enter the United States through our southern border illegally.

Even more disturbing is that earlier this week, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki could not guarantee that none of the OVER 2,000 illegal immigrants a day who avoid U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) capture entering our southern border were on the terror watch list.

I don't know by per capita. But my reasons are still the same. We are not bringing in the people we need. We have no control of those coming in here. If Biden thinks we need more people, than increase the way we were doing it. Fix it so it doesn't take so long to check them out and bring them in. At least people from around the globe will have a chance for the American dream and we will bring in the kind of people we need to stay competitive. The way he is doing it, America will be no better than the second class countries these people are coming from.

WHAT IS THAT? Arresting over 2 million oft hem at the border? Where about 22% are rearrested TRYING to get into America?

Hint it's NOT Biden or the Dems stopping immigration reforms!

    • The terrorist watchlist has law enforcement and national security information concerning people believed to be involved in terrorist activities. As of 2017, an estimated 1.2 million people were on the watchlist, including 4,600 U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.

    • Immigration officials won’t say how many people on the terrorist watchlist have attempted to cross the southern border — legally or illegally, because “any data would be considered law enforcement sensitive.”

    • Broadly, the agency said that “encounters of known and suspected terrorists at our borders are very uncommon.”

    ‘Not a new phenomenon’

"Individuals who match that profile have tried to cross the border, the land border, have tried to travel by air into the United States, not only this year, but last year, the year prior, so on and so forth," said Mayorkas. "That is not a new phenomenon."

Well if we caught that many with Trump trying to control the border, how many haven't we caught with Biden's open door policies? I know it's not really open door.

I still haven't heard anyone argue what I was saying as to controlled immigration, where we know who we let in and we bring in the people we need. How is America better by bringing in millions of low educated and low skilled people when we are in a industrial war? Hell, just look at China. In 2000 the Chinese were riding around in bikes and rickshaws.Just 22 years later they are the largest auto manufacture in the world. Put up their own space station, never being in one. They now have the largest Army and Navy in the world and we have to sell them bonds to pay our bills. How are we to stay ahead or keep up with them and the other industrial nations with Biden's policies. Can someone answer that?

Employers don't bring them here. Nations in crisis are not our problem. You simply turn them around at the border. Fail.

    Gawd some people are dumb

DACA is an administrative relief that protects eligible immigrants who came to the United States when they were children from deportation. DACA gives undocumented immigrants: 1) protection from deportation, and 2) a work permit. The program requires that the DACA status and work permit be renewed every two years.

Birthright citizenship in the United States is United States citizenship acquired by a person automatically, by operation of law. This takes place in two situations: by virtue of the person's birth within United States territory or because one or both of their parents is (or was) a US citizen.

Your ignorance, willful, is noted on what pulls undocumented immigrants to the US. HINT IT'S THE ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS.

    Communist China?

The People's Republic of China has a high income developing market-oriented economy that incorporates economic planning through industrial policies and strategic five-year plans

The economy consists of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and mixed-ownership enterprises, as well as a large domestic private sector and openness to foreign businesses in a system officially described as a socialist market economy.

Recovery Has Created Far More Low-Wage Jobs Than Better-Paid ...
    www.nytimes.com/2014/04/28/business/economy/...
Apr 27, 2014 · Economy Recovery Has Created Far More Low-Wage Jobs Than Better-Paid Ones
How good were the 10.9 million jobs under Obama?
    Money.CNN.com/2016/11/04/news/economy/jobs-under-obama/...
Nov 03, 2016 · CNNMoney breaks down what kinds of jobs have been created and ... Almost all of the job gains under President Obama have been in so-called service jobs,

The deep recession wiped out primarily high-wage and middle-wage jobs. Yet the strongest employment growth during the sluggish recovery has been in low-wage work, at places like strip malls and fast-food restaurants.

In essence, the poor economy has replaced good jobs with bad ones. That is the conclusion of a new report from the National Employment Law Project, a research and advocacy group, analyzing employment trends four years into the recovery.

“Fast food is driving the bulk of the job growth at the low end — the job gains there are absolutely phenomenal,” said Michael Evangelist, the report’s author. “If this is the reality — if these jobs are here to stay and are going to be making up a considerable part of the economy — the question is, how do we make them better?”

The report shows that total employment has finally surpassed its pre-recession level. “The good news is we’re back to zero,” Mr. Evangelist said.

But job losses and gains have been skewed. Higher-wage industries — like accounting and legal work — shed 3.6 million positions during the recession and have added only 2.6 million positions during the recovery. But lower-wage industries lost two million jobs, then added 3.8 million.
    77 percent of 2013 jobs were part-time positions ...
    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/2/part-timer-nation...
Aug 02, 2013 · Fully 77 percent of positions added to the market in 2013 have been part-time, in contrast to the positive economic news making the media rounds, according to payroll reports released in recent weeks.
"There are now 1.2 million fewer jobs in mid- and higher-wage industries than there were before the Great Recession, according to data from the National Employment Law Project. In contrast, there are 2.3 million more jobs in lower-wage sectors than before the recession," according to CNBC. Nor is there the hoped-for renaissance in American manufacturing. We have some 300,000 fewer manufacturing jobs since President Barack Obama took office and 1.5 million jobs below the pre-recession level.

Welfare At All-Time High Under Obama

The latest government figures reveal that an astonishing number of people are collecting public benefits such as food stamps and disability checks, revealing an alarming trend of dependence on government rather than self-sufficiency associated with the American dream.

A record 5.4 million workers have applied for federal disability checks since President Obama took office, according to a news report that cites recent government figures. This is straining already-stretched government finances while posing a long-term economic threat by creating an ever-growing pool of permanently dependent working-age Americans, the report says.

Since the recession supposedly ended in mid 2009, the number of people who have applied for disability benefits is double the job growth figure, according the report which includes an informative chart. In just the first four months of this year, 539,000 joined the disability rolls and more than 725,000 applied for the federal benefit. That means nearly 11 million people are on disability, according to the Social Security Administration.

Also this week, government figures reveal that a record number are getting food stamps and the figure will keep rising. This is not surprising since the Obama Administration has promoted the program like there’s no tomorrow in an effort to eradicate “food insecure households.” In fact, the administration has spent millions of dollars to recruit even more food-stamp recipients and has doled out hefty cash rewards to states that sign up the most people. One state even bragged about a $5 million performance bonus it got from the feds for its “swift processing of applications.”https://www.judicialwatch.org/.../welfare-at-all-time.../

The Offshoring of U.S. Jobs Increased on Trump’s Watch
    October 22, 2020

    • Between Trump’s inauguration day and the end of June this year, the Labor Department certified 1,996 petitions related to companies shifting work overseas. Those petitions covered 184,888 jobs in fields ranging from manufacturing to back-office functions for financial services companies. In other words, offshoring didn’t stop in the Trump administration.

    • For the equivalent period of President Barack Obama’s second term, the Labor Department actually certified fewer petitions covering fewer jobs. (1,811 petitions affecting 172,336 jobs). Which in theory means 12,552 more jobs left the U.S. in the first three-and-a-half years of the Trump presidency than did in the equivalent period of the presidential term immediately before.
