One of my thoughts: Melania wore that jacket to stick it to the liberals. Glad that’s what she was thinking about while visiting children in cages.
Another; Well, why not? The dotard in chief lies for no reason almost every time it opens its mouth, why shouldn't the simpleminded trophy FLOTUS do the same? Add the first daughter and son, both admitted liars to the family and it is easy to see why the USA is becoming a third world country faster than Tricky Dicky got booted out of office.

Yup. The truth is out there. And it's so obvious as to be impossible to overlook: the Administrations act, and Republican defense, of separating parents and their children for any length of time but especially permanently, is sufficient proof of an intolerable sociopathic psychology that has now become official, and it needs to be ripped out, root and branch. The shocking thing is that on so many fronts our Constitution has utterly failed us. Official praise and coddling of dictators, alienation of allies, abuse of the 2nd Amendment, a mentally troubled "president" who lost the popular vote, and inhumane policy of separating parents and their children. It seems it is up to the people to force a correction by getting out in the streets and SCREAMING, while organizing to actually make this nation a democracy.

 

I am more or less a peaceful man, but I agree that the Constitution is failing the people of this nation.
Every day that this abominable administration stays in power it seems that we the people of the United States of America should take a page from the extreme right's book; "it is the right or duty of the people of a nation to overthrow a government that acts against their common interests and/or threatens the safety of the people without cause."
Could the NRA actually be speaking for the left?

 

You don't find it disgraceful that every single member of the first family has shown themselves to be pathological liars? That their only true interest is to use their power to enrich themselves and facilitate hatred and racism across this nation?

Obama put in place laws to protect investors from unscrupulous investment advisors; this is one of the very first things Trump undid when he got in office. THAT is a failure by this administration to protect the citizens of this country.

The point is that when she wore the coat, she and her reps vehemently denied there was any message. Now she admits there was a message. That makes the First Lady of the United States of America and those who work for her admitted LIARS!

I'm not saying Trump couldn't have concentrated on getter richer still, he just didn't need the headaches of Washington to do so -- could have just bought plenty of registered D.C. lobbyists.

 

In actual fact, his presidency has been a boon to his business. His hotels in Manhattan and Soho were doing badly until visiting countries propped them up. The Saudi Crown Prince and his entourage being the most notable

There were as many suggestions as to what the message was as there were denials from FLOTUS and her crew that there was any message at all. Now we not only know that she (and her posse) were lying, we now know exactly what the message was. THAT IS WHAT

But Trump wasn't actually a successful businessman or getting richer. Most economists suggest that had Trump just invested his inheritance from his daddy, in a safe financial instrument in the stock market, he would be 3 to 5 times richer than he actually is. His presidency has brought him wealth that he never dreamed he could achieve any other way. Remember, he did not divest himself of his financial interests as other presidents have done. So, when he has a shindig at Mar-Lago as president, the profits go directly into his pocket. That includes the costs of feeding his secret service agents, his staff and actually building a helicopter landing pad for Marine 1 on his property that Mar-Lago uses for their guests when he's not around.
When Melania remained behind in NYC, the secret service had to have quarters in Trump Towers, had to be fed and had to have a place to park their vehicles. All that money, and it wasn't inconsequential, went directly into Trump's pocket from yours as a taxpayer.
There's so much more, like cash payments from people wanting face time with him, as president, to seeking favors by staying in Trump Hotels, etc.
