The type of people I admire the most in Politics: The selfless.

What has my thoughts been about these past four years, in general? And how do those thoughts carry over to the Biden Administration? Government, must inherently be selfless. There is no place for "me, my or I" in the government. And that's all the more true with the incoming administration. It was said that the incumbent was the demon of all demons, the monster of all monsters. If so, then this incoming administration must be an improvement. If it's not an improvement, then we were lied to. It's really that simple.

Also, our government is not served with political activism inside of the west wing, which caused five classified leaks in a Trump Administration. I don't want to see any such leaks under a Biden Administration. I don't want to see a "I couldn't get away with it, under another administration"

When Biden calls on you to serve, even if you were a Trump supporter. Even if you were a Republican. It's my expectation that you serve this government faithfully and to the last. If you fail to serve this incoming administration, then the government will have lost credibility among both wings of American thought and the greatest of all institutions: Government will have collapsed completely.

And that collapse will have had nothing to do with Orange Man Bad. So my message to both the selfless and to those who resisted is: Serve. Continue to serve with valor and dignity, and if you find you can't meet this standard resign so that someone else can.

I expect a coherent government from 2021-2024. I expect nothing less than that. If it is less than coherent, if there is "resistance", even on the conservative side I will denounce that as nothing short of unpatriotic to our country and nation.

You clearly weren’t around for the Obama administration when the Right acted like “brats” for eight years. You seem to have an inability to see that BOTH sides act like petulant children when their guy doesn’t reside in the White House. The Left acted like petulant children towards Bush. Then the Right were petulant children with Obama. Then the Left with Trump and now it’s the Rights turn to act this way towards Biden. It’s the same type of crap with each new administration. Rinse repeat.

 

Well it's our turn now.

 

It's your turn to either be the bigger person and break the cycle of the Hatfields and McCoys or to act like 5 year olds.

Someone's got to break the cycle, or it won't end and I want it to end. I will be doing my utmost to make sure Biden succeeds. Because his success, also prevents Kamala Harris from getting in, and that wouldn't be a partisan disaster.

 

I could not agree more! I don't expect this administration to be perfect, but I demand that it be an improvement. A BIG improvement. If it isn't, then all this was for nothing.

Bush illegally spied on Obama's campaign, a special counsel spent 3 years on a fishing expedition investigating every moment of Obama's and his inner circle's lives, Obama was frivolously impeached, hundreds of anonymous sources inside the swamp leaked lies and baseless innuendo on Obama to fake news which ran with it as if it was the truth.

What the Right did to Obama pales in comparison to what the left did to Trump.

 

Call me unpatriotic if you wish. But I will never support any policy that is antithetical to what the US stands for. That includes Biden's plan to ban all "assault weapons". No hand held gun should be banned. Period. There are other issues, but that is enough for now.

 

Well, that's policy disagreement and we can always have that. What I mean, is I don't want to see anymore Crossfire Hurricanes. I don't want to see anymore people lying under oath and then not being prosecuted for it while at the same time touting their high horn. We've seen some of the most unsavory characters politics has to offer and I'd rather not have a repeat.

 

Well, this I can agree with. But I'm not holding my breath. The Swamp is still quite full.

Maybe it would be better for everyone if the Hatfields and McCoys just went their separate ways, socially, culturally, and politically. They have different values and have no obligation to philosophically compromise. We don't have to shoot each other but we can ignore each other. We have long had peaceful segregations of cultures in this country, like orthodox Jews and the Amish.

Who here really wants to better understand and deepen his relationship with someone who voted differently than us?

 

Hard to measure this, but I don't think today's conservative is able to hate with the intensity of a leftist. That's why you see more antifa violence than Proud Boy violence , if any. Is there really even a Klan anymore? Where? Doing what? Nazis used to march isn Illinois and Idaho. I haven't seen a Nazi march in at least 20 years.

 

I appreciate you, but we aren't really welcome in liberal or leftist circles. They want us marginalized, shunned, and silenced because they actually believe we are racist, homophobic, etc. all 70+ million of us. We as a nation are cooked for as far as I can see into the future. China is unified and hungry.

 

I don't see any handgun ban taking effect here in Texas. Anyway, what's the point? We have handguns in our cars and homes. The police don't have the resources or even the desire to enforce any gun ban. Not here, and I suspect not in the red sections of Wisconsin, Michigan, or Minnesota.

Maybe a ban will work in Oklahoma. That's a joke.
