It's a sad day in New York City today. Another police officre (this time, AA female) assassinated on the street. All the potential hallmarks of a stirring WAPO diatribe about racism in the country, the profound under reporting of or value associated with black female officers, etc. Except for one teensie little detail. The shooter was identified as Alexander Bond, (AA male). Mr Bond was shot dead about a block away by NYC beat cops. So, instead of martyrdom, our dead female police officer is "mourned", and WAPO protects both the name and race of the assassin. At some point, we have to start asking the hard questions. Why would WAPO and other liberal news outlets refrain from publishing the name and race of the assassin? What purpose does it pursue? As we have seen, repeatedly, WAPO et al are not shy if the perp of a crime in interracial killings is a white person shooting a black person. And yet, when it is a black on black crime, it isn't even mentioned, and the shooter is protected by not being identified. It's as if the WAPO editorial staff believe that they have the right to only tell the part of the story, or make it up, that suits their editorial opinion. If it comes to light that mr Bond was part of the BLMs organization, or ISIL, then what? Why protect this guy at all?
ISIS and BLM are Obamas civilian military he promised. That's why they defend them, and excuse their vigilance etc.
The fear you and your fellow trumpies live with every day is sad. It's okay, really, you can come out of the basement/bunker.
Interesting observation. Likely, this won't even be a story by tomorrow. Like the 60 or so shot in Chicago this holiday weekend. Another story the WAPO isn't reporting today. Which starts to demonstrate the pattern.
What fear? We're mostly armed. Glad that murdering a police officer is nothing to be concerned about to you.
This is what is so insidious about the position the left take. It would have been cause for riots in the streets had the assassin been a white guy. And because it wasn't, this police officer's life isn't worth mentioning other than to troll the gun control debate. Rioting over black on black violence, or worse, assassinated by a vigilante BLMs member or ISIS recruit doesn't further that. Ask liberals why this is so difficult for them.
They are agenda driven with a very specific set of guidelines about who and what deserves attention and reaction! It's almost cult like, eery really!
It begs the question of why? Why don't liberals want to take this on in the same way that brings rioting in the streets? Is this black female officer's life not worth it? If not, why not?
If you guys recall, there was a college, I believe it was in Boston, that won't put out a description of the suspects they're looking for out of fear of stigmatizing minorities. What they're essentially admitting to is that they know minorities commit a lot of crimes but reinforcing that with perp descriptions would make them feel bad. Meanwhile, there have been numerous stories about conservatives, specifically white conservatives, who are a danger to this country. No stigma there, eh?
You guys start whole threads over the most trivial of things trying to pick out the race of someone but WE'RE the ones obsessed with racism.
There is nothing for the left to gain focusing on black on black crime, so they ignore it completely.
'pigs in a blanket fry them like bacon' and 'what do we want? dead cops, when do we what them? NOW' Makes no difference the race of the LEO just kill him/her. MSN is not going to lose much if any sleep over one dead police officer.
What do you mean she was "AA female"? And I just looked at Wapo, and they give the killer's name, his picture (yes, you can see that he's black - they didn't attempt to change him to a white man), and details on his criminal history. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...vehicle-officials-say/?utm_term=.97d43e119066
The story was amended. The original story didn't contain this detail. Only after so many criticized them, and their initial report did the editorial team feel they need to follow the other major outlets, like CNN et al who consequently were also criticized for their unwillingness to report this initially.
