    And, of course:

It was a series of Replicant presidents that drastically reduced upper-income taxation that has pushed Uncle Sam into the pits of debt-financing.

You cannot deny that historical fact - because that was the one good-reason for the Replicants to vote for their candidates.

But if one looks at the history of America's debt history:

Clearly, from the above, it was the Reagan Era that kicked-off the increase idn public-debt as a percentage of GDP. And if you look hard enough, it was Donald Dork's administration that provided the stark-rise in the administration-years before 2021 ... !

    Now, say it isn't so ... !

Regarding average Americans, about 100 million of them, it is unlikely any of this group will be tasked to pay higher taxes to pay down debt. Perhaps the upper-income and wealthy groups will see tax increases but even this will be minimized for fear of impact on the economy...

Of course it is not one groups fault that we have mounting debt. Every so-called American, and politician, and business resists paying their way and government obliges by always over-spending and under-taxing. How else does a politician get elected and remain in office for decades? He who brings home the bacon keeps their job!

IMO no one can provide an answer to deficit spending and debt...because the problem is so huge in scope and impact today that there are no good answers. This is why no politician will talk about it or doing anything about it...
