Getting tired of the impeachment saga, so let's talk about taxes. Apparently, Trump wants to run on another tax cut. The initial proposal is 15% for the upper middle class, my guess is replacing the current 22% rate.

    https://markets.businessinsider.com...lass-tax-cut-ahead-of-2020-2019-11-1028683100

Now, Trump fans like to trash Dem proposals with the question "where will the money come from?". The same question should be asked here.

My guess what the answer is: Tax cuts will pay for themselves through increased economic growth.

Question: How often can the same silly policy be repeated expecting different results, before voters learn? Probably indefinitely, because buying votes through tax cuts, which have to be paid back by future generations, always seems to work.

We are not discussing whether the Dems advocate for MMT (most probably never heard of it), or not, but how you answer the question of how Trump will pay for the next round of tax cuts.

Yeah, but at the same time he'll attack Warren for not saying how she'll pay for her plans.

Why do you want to see different results? Tax cut always mean I pay less. I don't care if the government end up getting more.

I would love another tax cut. Leave more of my hard earned money for me. Cut down on government spending.

Except, the "cut spending" part never happens. Thus, you get your tax cut, leaving your children to pay for it. That's being selfish, not prudent.

Would be nice if they could focus a tax cut on those who make a million or less, while adding a wealth tax like Warren or Sanders’ proposals. Or at least make that 22% with no loopholes.

    Sounds like you're blaming me?

Why do you want to tax/penalize achievers?

Yes, I blame you for voting for the unpaid-for tax cut sham that the GOP pulls over and over and over again, leading to exploding deficits that your (and my) children will have to pay for in one way or another, either through tax increases or benefit cuts.

Same as you would blame me if I voted for Warren's Medicare for all.

I'm against more Cuts. I didn't ask for the last one although I appreciate it very much

if anything I would like to see a capital gains increase over x million and a payroll tax increase for FICA.

    <ducks for cover!

Tax revenues are up with the last tax cuts and economic growth of the Trump economy.

I'd support another tax cut, certainly.

You have got to be kidding. I work my butt off and make it big so I can give the government more money? Get real and try to become an achiever and then get back to me. I guess you are for taxing achievers and giving more rent subsidies and food stamps to the lazy and the illegal aliens. That's a great recipe to make a country great.

Take a breath and try reading what I actually posted rather than what you think I posted because your tangent is about a position I don’t hold.
