I agree society should not be about constant growth. Unfortunately our economic system is entirely based on it, whether it's sustainable or not. As for birth rates - the richer the people the lower the rate. Its a direct correlation.
This is not true. Tech migration is a small portion of immigration. Even back in the 90s during the Jordan Immigration Commission, the large portion of entries were unskilled laborers who were - and are still - choking American workers in those jobs. We don't have a shortage of tech workers; we have a shortage of employers with enough ethics to pay Americans a decent wage for the skill level needed for tech work. They'd rather get overseas labor and pay them less.
Why are you considering only actions by white people as racist here? I do see racism in schooling and housing and loans - those minority perks that white folks don't qualify for, like special loans, admissions quotas, etc. The War on Drugs is racist how? Are you old enough to remember the epidemic of crack gang violence in black communities in the 80s and 90s? There was outcry at the time from black leaders accusing police of not protecting them, so a Texas DEMOCRAT spearheaded legislation on mandatory sentencing minimums on crack back in the 1980s which were more harsh than other drugs due to 1) the drug's impact on community violence which was massive compared to other drugs, and 2) the highly-addicitve qualities of the drug. And yes, since those crack gangs were heavily black, far more black people were thrown away under those sentencing laws. And we also have markedly less homicide annually than we did in those days with all those dealers and gangbangers locked up. So are you saying that the government's efforts to protect the black community from crack-related addiction and gang violence are racist? Should we revisit that legislation now? I think so. It's probably outdated. I also think we should impose such harsh sentencing on those who manufacture/smuggle/and deal heroin and meth. I can only wish "racist, white supremacist" Washington did as much to protect the white community from heroin and meth that they have to protect black people from crack.
