    I joined the Marines in early 1964 so missed the "British Invasion". I really can't enjoy anything from then to today :(

    Is this a joke? The UK, Europe, and Japan created some incredible stuff in the 80's. No idea what was happening in America in that decade. We didn't hear from them. Must have been dire, since nothing made radio or turntables outside that country.

    A lot of contenders for this title... any rap "music"; anything by Philip Glass or John Cage; anything by anyone with no musical talent whatsoever, like Yoko Ono; any left-wing crap like John Lennon's Imagine. But I think for pure torture, nothing is worse than a song that repeats itself ad nauseum, like Feliz Navidad. So the winner for worst song of all time has to be R. Kelly's I Believe I Can Fly, which repeats itself at least 200 times in the space of five minutes. After 30 seconds, I want him to test his theory from the top of a 30 story building, and it goes on and on and on.

    generally country music of any sort...99% is schlock, essentially stupid rap music for white folk...gotta put rap music on a equal footing there, again 99% schlock.

    Country music, from the early 2000s wasn't so bad. That crap now, eichhh.
    I think I violated my ears with rap maybe twice, and didn't last a whole 'song' either time.
    Stuff I will listen to: old rock, some Southern rock, throw in a Tina Turner, then Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and I'm good....
