Glad the Democrats are coming out of the closet on this in time for 2020...

There’s Nothing Wrong With Open Borders

There’s a witheringly obvious moral, economic, strategic and cultural case for open borders, and we have a political opportunity to push it. As Democrats jockey for the presidency, there’s room for a brave politician to oppose President Trump’s racist immigration rhetoric not just by fighting his wall and calling for the abolishment of I.C.E. but also by making a proactive and affirmative case for the vast expansion of immigration.

Heh! I recommend you read the whole thing.

Here is another in the continuing series of, Trump is totally lying that the left wants open borders, but here's another argument for open borders.

    How to rethink our borders

The US does not have anything resembling open borders, and no major politician in the US wants to have open borders. But Fabio Rojas does want open borders, and on the latest episode of the Future Perfect podcast, he tells us why...

Reminds me of the intro to the Outer Limits: "There is nothing wrong with your television set, do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are now in control"

Those borders just keep getting more and more open on the left...

    The Case Against ‘Border Security’
Voters want more open borders, not a ‘smart wall.’ Democrats should listen.

"...Ms. Pelosi has emphasized that “Democrats are committed to border security.” She has critiqued the wall on the narrow grounds that government should instead employ “evidence-based knowledge about how we best secure our border.” James Clyburn, the majority whip, fleshed out what that might look like: a “smart wall,” including more Border Patrol agents. This, too, is immoral.

    It’s also bad politics.

Democrats should follow their voters, who increasingly want more open borders, and reframe the immigration debate by rejecting the very notion that the border needs more “security” and making it clear that the real problem is the denial of migrants’ rights. The time has come for the Democratic Party to push for concrete policies to make the border more open."

Is anyone still arguing that the Democrats don't want open borders? That doesn't appear to be wear the party is heading.

With all the meskins and arabs coming in, I'd say the borders are pretty much open.

What does Europe and the failed governments there have to do with the United States border porosity and liberals trying to destroy our nation?

    Trump has got you hysterical..

Our Border Patrol, US Customs and Immigration and US Coast Guard do a very good job.

I traveled a lot in Europe over a period of 45 years.. before and after the EU.. Border checks weren't a problem.

Who told you that Europe has failed?

Trump has not got me anything. Any fool can see the chaos caused by open borders in Europe. If they want to. As for our Customs and border patrol, they are catching up now, recovering from the treasonous scum Obama. You saw the video where he tells mexicans to vote right?

When were you last in Europe?

Syrian refugees are a problem but that's outcome of the US invasion of Iraq.

What is that? They man all 48 crossings into Mexico 24/7.. They could use more high tech surveillance equipment and x-ray machines.

I'm talking about meskins invading the USA, and you keep trying to change the subject.

So? Where do you think the last 311 came in? Not at a port of entry but at the end of a border barrier.

Lots of them fly in .. the DEA and Border Patrol say MOST of those who come by vehicle use the roads and have to clear the security checkpoints.

So the 311 that walked in don't count because they couldn't afford to fly in. Got it.

Where did you get that number from? You know in spite of the posts on this board Eagle Pass has a security checkpoint.
