Here's another thing.. if California was given to Mexico... no Mexican would want to work there again. Wish Texas would pass a law that nobody from a blue county was allowed to vote for twenty years.. if ever.

Here is the answer to the issue of Open Borders and Mass Immigration:

Lex Terrae (Law of the land) or Legem Terrae (Plaintiff claim to land): n. the phrase law of the land is a legal term, equivalent to the Latin lex terrae, or legem terrae in the accusative case. It refers to all of the laws in force within a country or region, including statute law and case-made law.

Lex Maris (The Law of the Sea): a body of customs, treaties, and international agreements by which governments maintain order, productivity, and peaceful relations on the sea. ... The United Nations (UN) held its first Conference on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS I) in 1956, which resulted in a 1958 Convention.

Maritime Law: Maritime law, also known as Admiralty law, is a body of laws, conventions, and treaties that govern private maritime business and other nautical matters, such as shipping or offenses occurring on open water. International rules, governing the use of the oceans and seas, are known as the Law of the Sea.

The Constitution of the United States of America is the Law of the Land (Lex Terrae) which means: 1. Regardless of what the Specific governments (States) do, they MUST abide by the Constitution of the United States of America [Supremacy clause] of the General government. And 2. All laws contrary notwithstanding, meaning that said laws of the Specific governments are invalid in country, unless they conform to the premises of the Constitution of the General government. Maritime law/ Admiralty law (Lex Maris / Laws of the Courts) and its vestiges are unconstitutional because the Land (Terrae) takes precedence over maritime, thus the law of land from of other nations. These United States of America are only governed by Land law, which is why USN personnel are subject to Lex Maris and not of Lex Terrae. Under Statutory Law (Lex Lege), we enter into Contractual Law (Contractus Legis) Maritime Law (Lex Maris) or Law of the High Seas (Lex per Maria Altum). When dealing with Law of the Land (Lex Terrae), a Man is born, not birthed (berthed), when dealing with Maritime Law (Lex Maris), a person is birthed (berthed) not born. Being that churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, etc. are within the territorial jurisdiction (territorium jurisdictionem) of the United States of America, as well as the Constitution of the United States, which is the Supreme Law of the Land (Summi Lege Terram), can a house of worship (Domus Colendorum) arbitrarily grant sanctuary (sanctum) in direct contravention of said Summi Lege Terram? If this insight is exact than the political stances over illegals and political party systems who seek to grant sanctum, avenues are in reality, non-issues. This also drives at the heart of the issue of sedition and national security (nationalibus pignus) in as far as necessary avenues to remedy the population paradoxes and the political fields and operations that are supposed to be beneficial to the nation, are concerned. This constitution holds the answers and remedies to these issues.

    Article VI wherein states :

    Article VI
All debts contracted and engagements entered into, before the adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

What should be the purpose of our immigration policy?

There is an old saying that if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll wind up where you’re headed. Those who are setting our nation’s immigration course should heed this cautionary advice. Virtually everyone, whether they support high or low levels of immigration, is dissatisfied with our current course for the simple reason that our immigration policies lack any real definable national interest objective

So...why are we as a nation 'lost' in regards to our legal immigration policy....not even to mention illegal immigration.

    Because of politics and multi-culturalism.

Liberals essentially want open borders so they can enlarge their democratic party voting base.

The working class opposes illegal immigration because it lowers wages and make it harder for Americans to find jobs due to the fact that illegals are taking jobs away that used to be good paying jobs.

The elitists from both parties favor open borders because it means they have a cheap and easily available cheap labor source for their various industries and businesses.

Thus...the difficulty in agreeing on a rational and sane immigration policy.

The first step we need to take in regards to a new and sane immigration policy would be to recognize that we cannot be a haven for all those from around the world who have difficult situations in their native land and want to solve their problems by going to America...and quite often they bring their problems with them....hence the terrorist attacks in America by first generation muslim immigrants.
