Imagine you've been feeling weak for days. Climbing stairs causes problems, you quickly get out of breath. Okay, you're pretty old already, so you're blaming your age.

One night you wake up feeling short of breath. Your pulse is racing. "F*ck! A heart attack!" so you believe. You are not vaccinated and you think Covid is a hoax! Your Wife calls the ambulance.

Inside the ambulance, it smells of sharp disinfectants. The paramedics wear full protective clothing and look like space travelers. First, you get an oxygen mask put on and you feel a lot better right away. One of them draws up a syringe and, as if he had known you, he says: "Don't worry. This is not a corona vaccine, just a drug to stabilize your circulation".

In the hospital, the doctor tells you the next day that you have Covid. The x-ray of your lungs leaves no doubt. You think you're in the wrong movie. Is the doctor lying to you, or does Covid really exist? Nagging doubts and hopelessness fill your brain. Speaking is also difficult and nothing works without the oxygen mask. You cling to the thought that you might just have a very bad flu after all or even lung cancer, but never Covid! It doesn't exist. Telegram and your friends told you so!

You look at your cell phone and recognize a new message. A friend, also a Covid denier, asks what's happened and whether you're okay. What will you answer? Will you lie and continue to deny the Covid?

This happened to an acquaintance of an acquaintance of mine.
He passed away 2 days ago. :(

From what I've heard, some patients remain in denial. Others accept reality and beg for the vaccine.

I also know a ton of people who refused to take the covid shot, got covid, had it in mild form, and successfully recovered without any long term consequences. That group of people includes myself.
For each covid death, there are thousands of successful recoveries.

    Take a look:

    http://ww11.doh.state.fl.us/comm/_p..._archive/covid19-data/covid19_data_latest.pdf

Deaths are on page 9 of 10.
For 0-15: 31 deaths out of 549,841 cases, which translates to 17,736 recoveries per death.
For 30-39: 1,155 deaths out of 717,849 cases, or 621 recovery per death.
For 40-49 group: 2,782 deaths out of 622,167 cases translates to 223 recoveries per death.

So, for each sleazy, sobbing story about a covid death, there are hundreds and thousands of cases with happy ending, vaccinated or not.

Countless people deny all kinds of medical problems. Actuarial tables dictate that men are higher risk because they don't usually go to the doctor until it's too late. There are countless wanna-be Darwin Award recipients.

So, what is it about *this* specific situation that is of concern?

50 percent of people who survive covid-19 face lingering symptoms, study finds

They always said covid was not the flu.

A pity, but only death and taxes are certain in this life.

I have 8 friends who took the shots and died, not of covid. Strokes, heart attacks and massive organ failures were the causes of death.

Gotta love those clot shots! :applause:

This recount is extremely detailed. You are writing about his thoughts and experiences, even smells as it happened in great detail. It seems like a short story more than a summary of a sad situation. Did he have time to tell you all of this before he died? You refer to him as an acquaintance which implies you are not that close but this story is told from the viewpoint of someone very close to the deceased.

The main story is true but I've embellished it a little bit with my own imagination as a Covid denier might have perceived.

The day after he was admitted to the hospital, he had a lot of correspondence with relatives and friends.

Doesn't take a covid denier to perceive this. Anyone employing any common sense could see the inconsistencies.

As I know, he never said what he thought he had.
Some Covid deniers think they have lung cancer or COPD.

It's insane that some people refuse to believe that the virus is real and does this to people at this point. With all of this information available, all of this amazing capacity for sharing information in real time, there are people who live in denial of it and continue to maintain wildly inaccurate beliefs based tragically on political ideology and "alternative facts" fed to them by liars and fellow deniers who use the same amazing information-sharing infrastructure to spread misinformation. These people are essentially being killed by misinformation.
