He did well with Democrats because democrats for the most part I hate Hillary Clinton. it was people who refuse to vote for Hillary that handed in the election to Trump and for the most part those same people have shown that they regret their decision. They don't support Trump they opposed Hillary. Biden has a lot more support among the Democrats then Clinton did. you weren't going to see people completely going off the rail to oppose Biden the way they did Clinton. And independents who voted for Trump in large numbers, now always support him at 40%. you aren't going to see a surprise victory for Trump in the same fashion you didn't 2016. That's not to say he can't win but he's going to have to actually work for it now and he's not just going to get handed votes by people who simply chose him as the lesser of two evils against Clinton.
