You will notice an unusual statement by me in the following post:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/elect...campaign-over-next-four-years-no-kidding.html
Considering four campaign over the next four years...... no kidding!
MVictorP..... I would love to think that your view on this subject is closer to the truth than
what I have been told by others but either way........ a political outsider to the situation in
Montreal might just have some advantages over somebody from there.

Well, good luck Dennis - it sure is a colossal entreprise, one that requires heavy doses of idealism and solid nerves. I hope your familly is ready and that your children, if any, are old enough to understand the fact they are going to share their dad with a population.

Of course, an outsider in Montreal's west end could bring a bit of focus and fresh air, but like I wrote, there is no political curiosity out there; All of an election's points are systematically evacuated to better focus on separation: Even popular football promoter Larry Smith, an admirable man, couldn't be elected in these Liberal strongholds.

A conservative's best bet in Quebec is in Quebec city, where electors are more, well, conservative than the rest of the population, but there french knowledge is more important than in Montreal.

What would be your main program, in short? Who do you favor as Conservative chief?

I am really hoping that Mr. Peter Mackay will enter the race for Conservative Party leadership but.....
what if he doesn't.... I sure can't blame him for wanting to take full advantage of these years when his
    kids are so young..........

It is my firm belief that the old fashioned Conservative Movement is dead......
and cannot be raised from the dead......

The appeal to fear...... and paranoia......
and a sense of superiority .... will not work.....

and one of my goals is to attempt to lure many young people in to Canada's Conservative Party who
will NOT.... .condemn P. M. Justin Trudeau for his being in a LGBT Pride Parade......

Sincere apologies for taking 5 years to understand NDE comments on Gay Community!

I personally am ashamed of myself for being a Christian who could not understand this message for about five years!!!!!

Thread: Students in Quebec need help from America!

    Truly well said legojenn!

This is exactly what i feel is happening as well.

Young people in Quebec are all set up to assist in decreasing American vs American hostility that could cripple so many cities over the coming two or three years.

I've always been interested in this issue, I wish I knew more about it. My wife was born in Mtl, mixed marriage, father was from a well established French family (politicians in the lineage, but don't hold that against her), mother was from Halifax NS. My wife is trilingual - English, French, Spanish. When I met her she was living and working in Toronto due to the fact that the industry she was in moved lock, stock and barrel to TO during the secessionist goings on a few years ago (my words, not hers). Looking at the history of Lower Canada and the British I can well understand the resentment but it might be time to let it go. Je me souviens - needs an addition - mais je pardonne.

Diuretic........ these are exceptionally helpful comments on this topic.

Yes...... when the provincial government of Quebec makes too much noise about separation........
entire companies may pick up and move to Ontario or another province..... or out of the country entirely
depending on the nature of their business.

Mr. Kevin O'Leary doesn't have to attend all debates to get
young people in Quebec to vote Conservative.

I think that all he would have to do is stick up for their right to
learn English....... if they really do want to!
