IMO much of the shock of DT's election to "the other side" is a result of the obvious: It is those who quietly went about their work, or were desperately looking for work, while others were glad-handing around town, who got him elected. We're just not as vocal and glad-handing a bunch; but we've been thinking dark thoughts for years while the rest of you hung out at the water cooler or outside smoking together plotting additional ways to make an easy win while the rest of us do the bulk of the work, or get our jobs exported on us. Maybe we should be out now marching around wildly, shouting, and disrupting media outlets to demonstrate our support for Donald-- to help him deal with the outrageous PC scorn-fests, media bullying, and bureaucratic subversion he's been dealing with-- but we're workers, and just not the type to waste time like that. So far. I hope Donald understands..
Trump is a huge bully who complains about being bullied. The funny thing, though, is that the "bullying" reporters are simply throwing facts at him. It's not our problem if he can't stand the heat of being president.
6 Cheers for the Trumpster! Jeff Sessions' Justice Department Will Not Be Enforcing Obama's "Guidance" on Genderless Bathroom Requirements Amidst all the ego-driven "See we told you!" crap from the asinine and smug NeverTrump camp, it's important to note the ways in which they were wrong. If they had gotten their way -- the election of Hillary Clinton -- Obama's push to make genderless bathrooms the state-imposed norm would be continuing apace. If the NeverTrump hold-outs want to avoid the complete loss of reputation and credibility with the only part of the country they've ever had any sway with -- as their close cousins in the liberal media have already lost -- it would behoove them to mix in a couple "and here's where our preferred outcome would have been worse" among their never-ending finger-pointing fake-news victory laps. But, like their close leftist media cousins, they are unaccountably proud of their lack of accomplishments, and can never admit error. The problem with the incompetent admitting errors is that once they've started, when would they ever end? Last May, the "Justice" and "Education" departments released a letter, providing "significant guidance" to school districts across the country about the best policies for respecting the rights of transgender individuals in schools. Under the auspices of Title IX, the letter advised that schools ought to permit students to use the bathrooms, locker rooms, and other facilities that align with their gender identity rather than their biological sex. A judge placed a temporary hold on this guidance letter, leaving school bathroom policies in limbo. In a new one-page filing, the Justice Department has advised that it will not continue to push its appeal against the judge's decision, meaning, in part, that the oral arguments scheduled to take place this week will be put off for the foreseeable future. 13 states sued the Obama administration over the "dear colleague" letter; the Justice Department’s latest move leaves uncertain the future of that lawsuit. This decision will leave schools across the country free to craft their own bathroom, shower, dorm-room, and locker-room policies in the absence of federal guidance. In practice, this means that every locality will control its own policies, allowing parents, teachers, and local school boards to determine the best path forward. http://ace.mu.nu/archives/368456.php
The right-wing nuttery had dominated the radio for two decades. Any day of the week you could tune into any of a dozen crackpot shows with the nutty right screaming on the radio. Fox Noise is the number 1 cable news source. The big-mouth liars in the right-wing who deceive the public for ratings, have been the most vocal of all. And now they have all but destroyed the country because of people who can't tell fantasy from fact.
President Whiny McVacationface is turning out to be head of the most corrupt and whiny administrations in US history. I wonder what the breaking point of his fanbois will be... I have a feeling that he could sell Alaska back to Russia for a bottle of vodka and his cheering section would be all like "WOW! Best negotiator EVER! MAGA!"
Destroyed the Yuppie pipe dream, you mean. While you were engrossed in your self indulgent fantasies and posturings, many of us saw our jobs being exported.
I agree with the OP. Hopefully he understands that the idiots out there complaining about everything he does are just malcontents who don't matter. The people who elected him do, and we might not be vocal about it, but we do appreciate the work he's doing.
[ Anytime he cries "fake news," it's because reporters publish inconvenient truths about him. Didn't you see his recent press conference? He again cried "fake news" amid reports that his campaign had communicated with Russia. And then, shortly after the media began reporting on the news conference, he tweeted: "'One of the most effective press conferences I've ever seen!' says Rush Limbaugh. Many agree.Yet FAKE MEDIA calls it differently! Dishonest." - - - Updated - - - What work is he doing?
If anyone knows that he does. It's impossible to have enough time on a daily basis to defend the mountain of lies he throws out in front of the American people. The right simply doesn't have enough time.
So is your claim that Trump said his campaign didn't talk with Russia? Seems to be I remember him explaining that of course Flynn talked to Russia and many other countries because that was his JOB. Looks like that wasn't a fact. Got any other examples of Trump attacking the press for printing facts? Go ahead and pile them on me.
I've said it before on this forum, but I don't mind saying it again: I have Faith in President Trump! -
No, I'm not going down that rabbit hole with you. As I wrote elsewhere, you guys really don't matter any more.
Just wow! I think that Libs have way too much time on their hands, and idleness breeds trouble. Perhaps they should grow up and get jobs, so they can make something of their empty lives. They should do their jobs and let Trump do his...
With Goldman Sachs taking over, I'm really curious how you think the "yuppie dream" is at risk. And, remember that Trump's choice for SecLabor actually hates employees - something he himself has stated in the past as he yearned for the days when employees could be replaced by machines. Also, manufacturing production in the US is at peak levels, having recovered from the 2008 recession. So, suggesting that the very real employment problems of manufacturing workers is due to production leaving America is obvious nonsense. The reasons manufacturing employment didn't recover when manufacturing production DID recover has to do with manufacturing efficiency being improved - such as with automation. Plus, we smashed the unions, so now there is no collective bargaining on issues such as compensation, reliable employment, training (so workers can keep up with manufacturing methodology changes), worker safety, secure retirement, etc.
The press gave Obama heat as president. It wasn't unlike the heat one might receive from a luxury spa..
