Bottom line: there is a very virulent, poisonous, deceitful, über-liberal main-stream media active in this country, committed to manipulating every aspect of every event they can, and generating FAKE NEWS every opportunity they have.

This blatantly obvious example of over-the-top liberal behavior in the news media is just one among MANY. The difference? This time it was so blathering-assed blatant that CNN had to pull the plug on these clowns itself....

Three journalists were asked to leave by CNN for printing inaccurate stories. That is great as far as I am concerned. If only Breitbart, Newsmax, Fox and the rest of the right wing News cesspool would act as responsibly by getting rid of their entire staffs who print and spew nothing but bull crap 24/7/365...CBS fired one of the finest journalists of our times, Dan Rather for getting a story wrong. That's how credible news sources keep their credibility. Thanks for pointing this out.

More that they are trying to profit from it. They were all about crossing the billion dollars in revenue mark, and even one of its former WH correspondent criticized them for sidelining reporting in favor or pundit-tainment pieces.

1. What actual connection (if any) does the New York Times have to CNN? Beyond a shared, well-known hyperliberal bias toward everything right-of-center, these two Leftist propaganda organs have none....

I'm not a big Trump fan, frankly. Never have been. But, that notwithstanding, even with his sudden shifts of opinion about some things as he fleshes out a better understanding of how our government works, I'd still definitely take him over a reckless, corrupt, STOOPID moron like Hilarity Clinton any day!

Think: to his ass-kissing, hyperliberal news media, when Obama completely reversed his stance on "gay marriage", it wasn't cause for angry accusations about Obama's LIES! No, no. Obama had merely "evolved"....

CNN discovered the story was not accurate, pulled it from their site, issued a retraction, fired the 3 individuals involved and apologized. Anthony Scaramucci seems okay with CNN's actions:

While this kind of thing can, and does, happen, it's quite rare for reputable media and yes, CNN is part of the reputable media landscape.......

 

The funny thing is that for a long time I trusted all the "new" cable news networks, like CNN, MSNBC, and Fox in generally the same way, to the same degree. Shortly after 9/11 all of that changed, and CNN and MSNBC in particular became savagely hyperliberal, especially after Obama, "the 'transparent' Messiah", began conducting his regime built on one lie and broken law after another, after another....

Today, I don't trust ANY mainstream news network other than Fox and, fairly often, RT, any further than I can spit into a 100 mile-per-hour headwind. Even Fox frequently disappoints me with the shallowness and pedantic nature of much of its reporting, but, after all, the audience is still largely a bunch of dumbed-down Americans.... Face it... Jonathan Gruber, the Father of Obamacare, was right!

. And the oh-so-professional, ethical CNN really raised hell about Obamacare lies... right?

CBS was finally forced to do so because they could no longer defend Rather and his producer after all the outside groups and experts totally trashed their story and it became very apparent his reporting was being driven by his agenda and hatred of Bush. His reporting on Bush was not objective but opinion hiding as it. Had he done it purely from a stated opinion position he might still be there.

 

Seems to me that the forced resignations is an indication that CNN actually has journalistic ethics.

OTOH, apart from the sexual harrassers has any FOX news talking head been fired for spreading fake news? Oh right, thats' because they are the bastion of "real news".

 

Rather was of the opinion that Bush was a slacker and that his daddy got him into a cushy US Air Guard unit during the Vietnam war...This is an opinion that is held by most people who have looked into GW Bush's past. Dan Rather is one of the great journalists of the second half of the 20th century by any measure. He was also a totally self made man who paid his dues from the beginning of his career. My point was that CNN canned employees for getting the story wrong. It would be nice if the fever swamp right wing press like Newsmax, Breitbart and Fox would do the same.

CNN has lost it's credibility unfortunately. Firing a few Journalists will not bring that credibility back.

Reporting the news rather than "all the news that is fit to print" and limiting the editorializing to 10% instead of 90% would help as well.

Clinton was against the Vietnam war from the beginning, and made some sleazy moves to avoid the draft, much like super war hawk, Dick Cheney. Bush got into a cushy unit made up of rich kids with political contacts to avoid serving in Vietnam. Then he had a record that would have landed any normal kid in Leavenworth, but skated because of daddy's power.
