I agree with your last comment. Unfortunately, while the qualification test shown is something I’d consider child’s play, many LE agencies can’t or don’t fiscally support the training to meet those minimum requirements. What is woefully missed in training are training in strategies and tactics of a fight, and training to mitigate the effects of adrenaline...missing because many civilians having budgetary oversight fail to understand the need...until they are sued, but then it’s never the civilians at fault.
See this is the problem with liberals. They take their singular view of their zip code and think, no let me rephrase, demand that everyone comply with their view of things. I live in rural north Idaho, 10 miles from a paved road, there are moose, wolves and bear. a comfortable caliber to carry isn’t really comfortable to conceal.

most Americans are not routinely threatened by wolves, sheep and moose. thats why concealed carry should be sufficient.

The rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.. People are free to carry their guns for whatever legal purpose they wish. They don't need your approval or that of the Government and they don't need to provide a reason for carrying a gun. It's literally none of your business or that of the governments.
One thing convenient about open carry is that it is easy to see where a firearm would be available if desired. Just a quick clunk on the noggin and it's yours!
