You need look no further than corporate america. They are the Republican Party. Look at the tax shift from corporate America to the working class. That os not a democratic position. Now I say that with one caveat, the dems in congress are as beholden to the corporations as the repubs are.

The wealth tax as proposed uses a “net worth” calculation. So basically you would be taxed on your assets every year, which would drastically increase everyone’s taxes every year. The second proposal only taxes “rich people” like Zuckerbuerg, but claims that they have top pay tax on their “net wealth” which would include their stock holdings. In bernies plan it didn’t just tax the gains on a stock, it taxed the stock.
