As of yesterday, 2021-08-021, Israel is now at 985,341 total C19 cases, +7,129 for that day and the 2nd day in a row over +7,000 new cases. At EOM July 2021, Israel's 7 day rolling average was: +2,089 new cases per day. It is currently at: +7,206 per day. This means that either Monday or Tuesday of this coming week (likelier on Tuesday, I think) Israel will go over the 1,000,000 mark and in doing so will be the 4th nation in this month also to do it and the 35th nation in total.

Thailand jumped over the million-hurdle two days ago, is the 34th nation to have done this, but it has already leapfrogged over Portugal and is currently at rank 33.

And although not currently in the 50-nation tracking (this will change in the next weeks), little Vietnam just had 3 days in a row of over +10,000 fresh infections per day and for the first time, Vietnam's 7-day rolling average is over +10,000 per day. Vietnam is currently at 336,707 cases, which will put it aound 430,000 cases by the end of this month, over 730,00 cases at the end of September and over the 1,000,000 mark during October, if current conditions hold.

Morocco, which is in my tracking, cleared the 800,000 mark on 2021-08-021 and is averaging +7,450 cases per day, tendency: rising. Morocco should be close to the 900,000 mark by month's end, in 10 days from now and then in September, will very, very likely become the 36th nation on Earth to clear the million-hurdle. It took all of 2020 to bring us the first 18 nations over 1,000,000, once Morocco get there, we will have doubled the size of the million club.

We are seeing solid evidence that the Covid-19 Delta wave is dissipating in some countries, most notably, in Indonesia, which just clocked in under +1,000 daily deaths for the first time in almost 40 days.

Also, the 7-day rolling average in +cases reached it's peak in Indonesia of +50,039 on 2021-07-018 and has wended it's way downward to +16,760 today.

More on other nations soon. Not all is dark and gloomy out there.

Just a short report from my county, SW CO. Our 7 day incidence is now at over 200. 98% unvaccinated, 95%Delta. Most cases are from the under 50 age group, even children.
Vaccination rate 65 and older is 75%, under 65 only 42% have had 1 injection, 60% of that group does not show up for the second.
    There are no mask mandates.
Interestingly the vaccination rate in the Reservations is very high and despite being vaccinated most of them still wear a mask.
I am hiring, not one of the Anglo applicants can show proof of full vaccination, which I mandate, filled the positions with Natives, fully vaccinated and surprisingly proud of it.

But the car parade on Saturday is still going on.

Darwin will regulate all of that, just a matter of time.

Mark of the COVID beast: France denies people food, water without vaccine passport

FROM WND: "French supermarkets have hired bouncers in order to deny people basic human rights to food and water because they didn’t get the right government permission slip," independent journalist Luke Rudkowski tweeted on Friday.

French supermarkets have hired bouncers in order to deny people basic human rights to food and water because they didn’t get the right government permission slip pic.twitter.com/AV0qJNCLf3

    — Luke Rudkowski (@Lukewearechange) August 20, 2021

The alarming video he posted shows a security guard brutally grabbing a masked woman and throwing her out of the store like a trash bag. The woman gets outraged by the abusive manhandling and yells at the security guard. After she leaves, a man approaches the bouncer and scolds him for not allowing the female shopper to get "alimentaire" (a French word for food).

This kind of propaganda doesn't make the cut here on this thread.

WND is a propaganda rag, not a real, serious news outlet.

Also, I have read up on this: Supermarchees in France are willing to DELIVER goods to people who are unvaccinated and drop the food off at the door. So, no, the part I bolded is an out and out lie on the part of WND. Nobody is going to starve or die of thirst in France.

Do better. Be better. Facts matter.

    Thanks,

INCOMPETENCE, IGNORANCE, BAD BOOKKEEPING OR JUST PLAIN OLD DISHONESTY?

I would like to illustrate a point about how many nations are often suddenly revising their numbers upward, all at once. This is not necessarily a good thing.

Take a look at Uganda from 2021-08-019 (five days ago):

    2021-08-019 COVID-19 Worldwide 004 - total cases.png

And then from 2021-08-020 (four days ago):

    2021-08-020 COVID-19 Worldwide 004 - total cases.png

Then, from 2021-08-021 (three days ago):

    2021-08-021 COVID-19 Worldwide 004 - total cases.png

Then, from 2021-08-022 (two days ago):

    2021-08-022 COVID-19 Worldwide 004 - total cases.png

    And now, from 2021-08-023 (yesterday):

    2021-08-023 COVID-19 Worldwide 004 - total cases.png

We can see that after Uganda reached 97,453 C19 cases, it stayed put for 3 days in a row thereafter (rank 106) and then yesterday, *boom*, that nation shot up to 118,177 cases (rank 103), which mathematically is +20,274. However, WorldOMeter lists only +104 cases, which means that the other 20,620 cases were shunted to dates in the past and those data points were revised. Therefore, Uganda is the latest (and 106th) nation to cross over the 100,000 mark. Uganda had rarely had more than +500 cases per day, +20,274 would be a massive outlier had those cases really been test results from just one day.

As you all know well, I don't go hunting data into the past; responsible nations should be accurately reporting every day. In the case of some countries with autonomous regions (for example, Spain) or far flung, hard to get to provinces (Tohoku in Japan, for instance), I can understand why there may be a delay in reporting. And some nations are now taking the weekends or part of the weekend off from reporting Covid-19 numbers (Hungary, Sweden and Belgium, for instance), but that is just a 1 or 2 day lag. The USA has been seeing enormous jumps in +cases on Mondays or Tuesdays that do not line-up with the WorldOMeter +case figures, so I must assume that a number of states within the US are doing likewise on the weekend. But in Kenya, which used to report very accurately every day, as soon as I saw that Kenya went radio-silent for 3 days, I figured that that nation was about to report a surprise, and indeed it did.

    Two more examples:

On Monday, 2021-05-031, Peru stood at 69,432 total C19 deaths. Promptly at the beginning of June, on 2021-06-001, that number jumped to a ghastly 184,507, all of this is recorded in the excel table for Peru and I reported on this back then. There is no way in hell that a nation cannot know that well oh gee, about 120,000 dead bodies laying around, oh well, maybe we will fess up next month. That is just plain old malarkey.

On 2020-12-010, Turkey suddenly jumped from 925,342 cases the day before to 1,748,567, more than +700,00 cases in one day, catapulting over the million-barrier just like that. To this day, Turkey has offered no explanation for why it had such a problem reporting those +700,000 cases on a more timely basis.

Waging war on a pandemic that is closing in on 4.5 million deaths worldwide requires honesty, also in the bookkeeping. We have to know what we are up against and how bad (or good) things are going.

ISRAEL EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES ON 2021-08-024, 35th NATION TO DO SO

As I predicted here 3 days ago, today, Tuesday, 2021-08-024, Israel jumped over the 1,000,000 mark in total C19 cases:

    2021-08-024 COVID-19 Israel 000 (prelim) - over 1,000,000 cases - closeup.png

    2021-08-024 COVID-19 Israel 000 (prelim) - over 1,000,000 C19 cases.png

    Here the excel table:

    2021-08-024 COVID-19 Israel 000 (prelim) - over 1,000,000 C19 cases - excel .png

The figures for Israel are only preliminary as that country sometimes reports in as much as 4 times per day. I suspect that by the end of the day, Israel will be between 1,007,000 and 1,008,500 total C19 cases.

Four nations have joined the 1,000,000 club in the month of August, 2021, in this order: Japan, Portugal, Thailand and now, Israel.

At year's end 2020, there were 18 nations over the 1,000,000 mark which means that 17 more nations have joined that rubrik during the year 2021. At the beginning of the year, I indicated that between 40-50 nations total would probably be over the million-mark by EOY 2021 and it looks very much as if it will be at least 40, if not more, when all is said and done. What a sad development.

If current trends continue, then Morocco, Kazakstan and perhaps even Cuba are up next.

We may feel like we are done with Covid-19, but Covid-19 is quite apparently not done with us. Not by a longshot.

VIETNAM SPECIAL SHORT ANALYSIS - UPDATE 5
Four weeks ago, on Tuesday, 2021-07-027, I posted a Vietnam update. I then updated the day after and one week ago. Here is the 5th such update. On 2021-07-027 I reported that Vietnam had 109,111 cases (that number jumped to 114,260 later in the evening) and was rank 99. A week later, Vietnam stood at 165,339 cases (which jumped to 170,190), rank 90. On 2021-08-010, Vietnam stood at 228,135, rank 82. On 2021-08-017 Vietnam stood at 293,301 cases (rank 73),

Now, as of today, 2021-08-024, the following:

    2021-08-024 COVID-19 Vietnam 000.png

369,267 total C19 cases, currently rank 67. So, in three weeks, Vietnam has hopscotched from rank 99 to rank 67, an upward jump of 32 places in the rankings.

As you can see, I have already opened up an excel table for Vietnam, but it is not yet officially in the 50 nation rankings.

There are 7 days left in this month. If the current 7-day rolling average of +10,852 cases per day holds, then 10,852 * 7 = 75,964 more cases by month's end = 445,231 total cases at month's end (more than the 414,318 that was projected for month's end one week ago), which means that this small country will have travelled almost +300,000 new cases in the month of August alone.

We can clearly see that if this pace continues, Vietnam will be in the top 50 within the next 3-4 weeks and then well on it's way to 1,000,000 by the end of October at the latest.

Tough lockdowns in most of the 22 states within India.
And I believe you mean the world "concensus".

Plus, it must be said that some of the slum regions of India are probably underreporting. But at the peak of it's wave, India was hitting almost +400,000 cases per day on the average. It was absolutely gruesome to watch all of this horror pile up so quickly.

If you click on my sig-file, it brings you to a massive set of excel tables, India is near the front. You can see the raw data for yourself.

THE SANDS ARE SHIFTING MIGHTILY AMONG BUT ALSO UNDER THE TOP 50 NATIONS
EMPHASIS ON GUATEMALA FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCERNMENT

This posting is for people who like facts and who like to discern.

As we enter the final 7 days of the month of August, 2021, I am noticing a measurable, radical uptick in +cases in a number of nations below my top 50 tracking, most notably among them:

    2021-08-024 COVID-19 Worldwide 004 - nations under top 50 with surges.png

To clarify this, the blue line under Georgia indicates where my official 50-nation tracking ends.

The four nations you see highlighted in gold (Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay and Bulgaria) are nations that were once in the top 50 but were surpassed by other nations and have since then exited the top-50 trackings. Their tabs still exist at the excel document, marked as "dormant" (sleeping).

The nations highlighted in green are nations under the top-50 but with sizeable +case numbers, numbers that have risen substantially in the last days.

I've already been writing about Vietnam for 4 weeks now, which went from 90,000 to almost 370,000 cases in the space of one month and will likely land at about 440,000 cases at the end of this month. Vietnam is guaranteed to enter the top 50 in September and will probably replace Saudi Arabia, if current trends hold.

But suddenly, Guatemala is pushing +5,000 cases per day, Sri Lanka is close to +4,500 and Azerbaijan is currently at circa +3,500, followed by Myanmar and Costa Rica. That's big news, to say the least.

To put this in context, Hungary is currently rank 37, with 811,203 cases. Sounds like Hungary is poised to go over the 1,000,000-mark, right? But look again. Hungary had only +82 cases on this day (2021-08-024) and if you check out the Hungary tab at the large excel table (see: sig file), you will see that Hungary is averaging 100 cases per day. At this rate, Hungary will get to the 1,000,000 mark in 1,888 days from now, which is actually a good thing; we want to kill the virus and if Hungary's numbers are for real, this would be a good thing. But this also means that Hungary is likely to exit the top-50 tracking at some time before the end of this year.

Now, look at Guatemala, currently rank 58: +4,917 cases on this day. That is almost 60 times more cases than Hungary on this day. Guatemala is not yet officially in my 50-nation tracking but this morning, I opened and started new excel tabs for Guatemala, Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan alongside the Vietnam tab I opened about 4 weeks ago. Since I just opened the tab, there is no 7-day average to calculate just yet but let's assume that the average for Guatemala is only +4,200 instead of +4,917. In that case, then 1,000,000 - 444,924 = 555,077 cases left to go in order to exceed the 1,000,000 barrier. 555,077 / 4,200 = 132.2 days needed (at this pace to get there). There are 129 days left in this year, so Guatemala, which is likely to pick up the pace before it slacks off, will probably at some time enter the top 50 and knock a slower moving nation out of the top 50.

To put this even more in context: on this day, Guatemala had more +cases than the following nations that are already in my tracking and OVER the 1,000,000 mark: Colombia, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Peru, Netherlands, Czechia, Chile, Canada, Belgium, Pakistan, Sweden, Romania and Portugal. That's 14 of the 35 nations already over the 1,000,000 mark.

For the 15 nations I am currently tracking that are UNDER the 1,000,000-mark, Guatemala's daily +case haul was more than: Hungary, Jordan, Switzerland, Nepal, Serbia, UAE, Austria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Greece and Saudi Arabia. That's 11 of the 15 tracked nations under the 1,000,000-mark and exactly 25 of my top 50 where Guatemala had more +cases on this day. We would think that would place Guatemala at rank 26 in +cases, but it is actually rank 27 as Vietnam, also a nation not yet in the top 50, was rank 14 with closing in on +11,000 cases:

    2021-08-024 COVID-19 Worldwide 005 plus case rankings.png

That's the one side of this.

The other side is that it is more than unsettling to see considerably smaller nations, from which we have heard almost nothing over 18+ months, suddenly appear on the Covid-19 radar screen in a big way. Therefore, logic dictates that the Covid-19 sand is shifting under our feet in places where we are not expecting it to.

I would also like to take a moment and remind that Iran is getting hammered relentlessly by Covid-19 right now. I am no fan of Iran's regime but I do not like to see human beings anywhere suffer. Iran also just broke over 100,000 total C19 deaths a few short days ago.

As an addendum to this posting from yesterday I would like to add that literally out of nowhere, Guadalupe came in yesterday with these (for that nation) eye-popping figures:

    2021-08-025 COVID-19 Worldwide 006- plus deaths.png

    2021-08-025 COVID-19 Worldwide 005- plus cases.png

Notice that Guadeloupe (a French territory in the Atlantic close to North America, not far from Cuba and Haiti) "only" has 45,277 cases and the day before, had 40,000, it actually had more +cases on this day than Guatemala, which I reported on yesterday. Not only that, only 400,000 people live there, so for a nation this small, these are horrific numbers and again proof positive that the Covid-19 sands are shifting under our feet right now, no doubt about it.

PS: daily +cases are starting to rise in India again.

There is a typo near the top of this analysis. Both Thailand and Vietnam topped 10,000 total C19 deaths in this last week, not 50,000. It was an honest error. Oops.

The USA is racing toward just shy of or just over 40,000,000 total confirmed C19 cases by month's end. Our world is approaching 220,000,000 right about the same time.

Brazil is moving toward 600,000 total deaths, Peru is very close to 200,000 deaths (with Russia not far behind).

We are seeing a number of nations in my top 50 tracking that are either not really testing or are having great luck combatting the Delta-Variant, because they are averaging far less than +1,000 daily cases: Poland (+219), Czechia (+193), Romania (+782), Hungary (+132), Jordan (+833), Saudi Arabia (+312) and Chile (+483). It is interesting to note that of these 7, 4 are neighboring lands in Eastern Europe, 2 are neighboring lands in the Middle East and 1 is a loner in South America.

Other lands close to those lands were also showing relatively few cases, but that has changed in this month: Ukraine has jumped from an average of +660 fresh cases at EOM July 2021 to 1,376 fresh cases right now. Ukraine is a neighbor state to Poland and the Czech Republic. Switzerland went from +714 at EOM July 2021 to +2,571, Austria went from +445 to +1,305 right now and Serbia went from +286 to +2,118. Those three nations are all close to the four others listed from Eastern Europe, although Austria is listed as Central Europe and the Schweiz is Western Europe, of course. Germany, the pulsing economic heart of Europe, has risen from +2,124 to +9,070 in the same time frame, so very often we are seeing around a 4-fold growth of cases in the last 28 days. In the middle east, where Jordan and Saudi Arabia are not showing much activity, Israel just climbed over the 1,000,000-mark a number of days ago and it's average has gone from +2,086 at EOM July 2021 to +8,637 (again, about a 4-fold growth), while Lebanon has remained relatively stabile, going from +989 to +1,188 and the UAE has actually reversed the trend, from +1,536 to +1,013 and Iraq has done likewise, from while at the same time, the virus is running away in Iran, from +29,532 to +36,393, also in Iraq, from +11,671 downward to +6,985. In South America, while Chile is showing no real effect of the Delta Variant, Peru has also remained relatively stabile.

And then there are new lands that I am now pre-tracking, 3 of which are practically guaranteed to end up in the top 50 pretty soon: Vietnam, Guatemala, Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan.

Of the countries under 1,000,000 total C19 cases, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Guatemala, Georgia Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan and Tunisia are moving the fastest up the ranks. And of course, were Egypt not brazenly lying about it's Covid-19 misery, it would be on this list.

The concern is that if Delta+ picks up again in India (and it appears to be doing just that), then it is likely to spread over to Nepal (again), also into Tibet this time around.

I don't write much about Canada or Mexico, but both of those North American nations are also picking up the pace.

I will be writing more and in far more detail about this with the end of month analyses for August, 2021.

Analysis tables for EOM (End of Month) August 2021, 2021-08-031

(UTC +0, Greenwich = 20:00 UTC -5, East Coast of the USA), Part 1 of 5:
Worldwide and and top 50 nations (split into five postings)

    READ!
The end-of-month analyses are pretty intensive and take time to do well. Here the schedule:

-the following five postings are the screenshots of the Worldwide figures and the top 50 nations. Two nations nations were added to the official tracking (Cuba, Georgia) in August, 2021 and two were eliminated from the same (Bolivia, Ecuador) as well, keeping the ceiling at 50. 35 Of those nations are now over 1,000,000 C19 cases, which means that four nations went over the 1,000,000 mark in August 2021 (Japan, Thailand, Portugal and Israel). One nation is currently on track to exceed the million mark in September, 2021 (Morocco). 4 nations have been started in pre-tracking: Vietnam, Guatemala, Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan. When you read the full worldwide analysis tomorrow, you will see why.

The Worldwide excel table figures will not be posted here, since they will receive an individual analysis. Instead, a screenshot (2 pages) of the preliminary Worldwide figures from WorldOMeter plus the 50 nations currently being tracked will be posted as proof of the veracity of the data.

-later on in this day, I will publish the final USA figures in the form of a slim, unplanned analysis, covering EOM August 2021. It was not planned that I would continue the USA monthly analyses but then came the Delta Surge in my homeland, so I think that a special analysis is indeed in order, here, once again as was the case at EOM July 2021. But I am very pressed for time, it will be a really slim report.

-Tomorrow, on 2021-09-002, I will then publish the end-analysis for the Worldwide figures for 2020-08-031. WorldOMeter has a "2 days ago" function at its main table, which allows us to wait one more day to see the final numbers. The advantage to this is that nations that may be adjusting their total figures will have one more day to do so. This is very likely going to be the case with Peru, which reported no new numbers on 2021-08-031.The worldwide analysis will be quite extensive, with the new luxury table I have been using having been expanded not only to include the 7-day rolling averages in +cases and +deaths but also the monthly +case and +death averages, for better context. The new probability table for the tracked nations currently under 1,000,000 cases, which I added last month, will be continued.

I've eliminated a lot of extra text in these five postings. If you want to see where the virus has grown or receded, then take a good look at the monthly + numbers (+cases and +deaths over EOM May 2021), at columns P and Q in row three for EOM this month and in row 34 for EOM of the month before. The exact growth rates will be calculated on a separate table, as always.

    So, let's get started.

    WORLDWIDE:
The Worldwide EOM analysis for will be published on 2021-09-002
