As suspected would happen, right now, both Brazil and Germany are currently reporting just under +100,000 cases, with Brazil at +96,311 and Germany at +93,154. Also as suspected would happen, 8 nations have reported over +100,000 cases: USA, France, India, Italy, Spain, Australia, Argentina and the UK.

So much for the "big" nations. Extremely disturbing is the statistic out of Israel, currently reporting +59,333 cases (0.6% of the total population of Israel), by far its largest daily +case value to date. And neighboring Lebanon (which I removed from the tracking for a while because it looked like that country had whipped Covid-19) clocked in at +7,057 cases, also by far the largest daily haul since I started tracking that nation in February of 2021. That +value represents 0.2% of the total population of Lebanon. Quatar, one of the richest, most exclusive nations on Earth, reported +4,187 cases today, also the highest total ever for that nation of only 2.8 million, which means that today's +case statistic represents 0.2% of that nation's population as well, just like Lebanon.

Our world has already exceeded 320,000,000 total confirmed Covid-19 cases today and is definitely on track to hit between +3.31 and +3.54 million cases, as I predicted earlier today.

And so it was. Excel table says: +3.38 million, worldometer says 3.26 million:

    Also, the USA:

President Biden is sending military medical teams to 6 Blue States to help hospitals that are overloaded. I believe he's reading this forum.

Biden is doing the right thing, just as former defeated President Trump did for NYC in the early phase of the pandemic in 2020.

And they should both be reading this thread, because solid info is presented here.

So, uhm, thanks for the recommendation!

On Friday, 2022-01-014, our world set another record, just slightly outpacing Thursday, 2022-01-013. Excel table says: +3.42 million new C19 cases (it was +3.38 million the day before), worldometer says +3.23 million (it was +3.26 million the day before):

    2022-01-014 WORLDWIDE 000.png

    2022-01-014 Worldwide 005 - plus cases (excerpt).png

    And the USA:

    2022-01-014 USA 000.png

Our world just travelled +10 million new C19 cases during the 3 heaviest days of this week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) and is on course to accumulate +20 million new cases in total by the end of tomorrow, the end of CW 2 in 2022.

8 nations once again registered over +100,000 fresh C19 cases on this day, with the USA registering very close to +1,000,000. The difference between 2022-01-014 and 2022-01-013 is that this time, the UK came in just under +100,000 but Brazil came in over, at +111,000 new cases, the first time since July 23, 2021 where Brazil registered more than +100,000 daily cases and the 2nd time in all of Brazil's C19 history to-date. So, this data-point is more important than people may realize.

If the upward trend continues in Germany as we are seeing happen, then with the UK likely over +100,000 during the heaviest days of the week next week, it's looking very much that we are moving toward 10 nations per day with at least +100,000 daily cases and it would not surprise me at all if we had at least one day next week with over +4,000,000 cases worldwide in just one day.

It is also very much looking as if both Cuba and Georgia are set to jump over the million-mark early next week, either on Monday or Tuesday, with Georgia likely to surpass Cuba on the way to that milestone. Those two nations, in whichever order they finally land over the million-barrier, will be the 48th and 49th nations on Earth to have accumulated at least 1,000,000 total confirmed C19 cases.

Finally, the USA is currently averaging +820,730,000 new cases per day. Were the USA to continue this pace every day until the end of 2022 (this is NOT going to happen, this math is purely for the purpose of demonstration), then the USA would add another 288,076,320 cases to the 66,209,535 cases it already has logged, bringing the USA over it's total population, to 354,285,855 cases. Again, this math is purely for purposes of demonstration. However, I see the real possiblity that the USA alone will be going over 100,000,000 total C19 cases by mid-year and perhaps 200,000,000 by the end of 2022.

SATURDAY, 2022-01-015 saw the most +cases on a Saturday ever in the history of Covid-19 worldwide to-date, but did not set or break any other records:

    2022-01-015 WORLDWIDE 000.png
    2022-01-015 Worldwide 005 - plus cases (excerpt).png

    And the USA:

    2022-01-015 USA 000.png

Our world is heading toward between +20 & 20.5 million new cases in total by end the of Sunday this week when all is said and done.

And our world is now averaging just under +3 million fresh cases per day.

REFERENCE LINK, 2022 EDITION (new standing disclaimer as of 2022, written December 31,2021, online libraries, screenshot overflow links) / Also: OLDER EXCEL TRACKING DATA (2020-2021)

COVID-19 WEEKLY concise analysis: 2022-01-010 (Monday) through 2022-01-016 (Sunday)
(UTC +0, Greenwich = 20:00 UTC -5, East Coast of the USA)
    CALENDAR WEEK 02
Worldwide and 'dreadnaught' nations from 10,000,000 COVID-19 cases upwards

THE SIG-FILE EXCEL TRACKING CURRENTLY ENCOMPASSES WORLDWIDE FIGURES + 65 NATIONS
Currently, the figures for worldwide composite figures and 7 of the 65 tracked nations are published here as screenshots on a weekly basis.

    WORLDWIDE:
    ΏΏΏ֍֍********* 329,325,326 *********֍֍ΏΏΏ
Our world added more than +20 MILLION total Covid-19 cases in just one week!
    +20,458,836 weekly cases // daily avg = 2,922,691 = 2,029.6 new cases every minute,
    tendency: rising

+51,044 weekly deaths // daily avg = 7,292 = 5.1 new deaths every minute, tendency: rising
MANY NATIONS EXCEEDED THE NEXT MILLION MARK
AUSTRALIA, IRELAND, KAZAKHSTAN & DENMARK EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL C19-CASES

FOR THE OTHER MAJOR RUBRIK CHANGES DURING THIS TIME, SEE RUBRIK TABLE BELOW

    -----------------------------------------

    2022-01-016 WORLDWIDE 000.png

The second full week of 2022 set records one day after the other, with +cases rising sharply literally everywhere and nations springing over the next million-mark practically every day. Our world just sprang more +cases (+20 million) in one week that it achieved in total during the first 8 months of the pandemic in 2020.

You will notice that the bar for "dreadnaught" nations was raised last week from 5,000,000 total cases to 10,000,000 total cases.

You will also notice that the excel table now calculates weekly cases, deaths and tests (instead of daily) and that the averages are daily averages as they were before, but are no longer rolling averages. That's a difference with an important distinction. Should you have any questions about the new format of the excel tables, feel free to ask here on this thead.

Also, the new rubrik worksheet now calculates weekly (or where appropriate, quarterly) values and the exact date of a rubrik change is listed next to the country itself. I've also added the rubrik of 1,000,000 total deaths and 1,000,000,000 total tests.

    2022-01-016 WORLDWIDE 000 - rubrik worktable.png

I've added something new to the weekly analyses, namely a table like the one I used for EOM and of course, will now use for EOQ and EOY, here sorted only for cases, namely, + avg cases, descending:

    2022-01-016 WORLDWIDE 000 - top 65 table - plus cases.png

You can see that in this last week, just as in the week before, four nations added more than +1,000,000 cases to their count and 8 nations added more than +100,000 cases per day (the week before, it was 6 such nations). Our world ended the week averaging almost +3 MILLION cases per day. That pace, if continued would bring our world close to 1.4 BILLION total C19 cases by the end of 2022, to note.

CUBA EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES ON 2022-01-017
    48th NATION TO DO SO

On Monday, 2022-01-017, Cuba jumped over 1,000,000-mark in total confirmed Covid-19 cases:

    2022-01-017 CUBA GOES OVER 1,000,000 - CLOSEUP.png
    2022-01-017 WORLDWIDE 002 - total cases.png

The Cuban values are not likely to change in the course of the day; Cuba reports in only once per day and bis dato I have not witnessed Cuba adjust its values afterwards.

With Cuba's entrance into the million-club, that makes for the 6th nation that has crossed over the million mark in 2022 and the 48th nation overall. The first 42 nations crossed over that line in 2020-2021.

    Very, very sobering.

On Tuesday, 2022-01-018, very early in the day, Georgia jumped over 1,000,000-mark in total confirmed Covid-19 cases:

The first two days of this week, 2022-01-017 & 018, were not record-setters or record-breakers, but they came close to it.

    2022-01-017 Worldwide 005 - plus cases (excerpt).png
    2022-01-017 Worldwide 000.png

WorldOmeter says +2.3 million for Monday, my excel table says +2.8 million, meaning 500,000 cases were shunted into the past.

    Also, the USA:

    2022-01-017 USA 000.png

And most of that shunt was in the USA, where Worldometer says +574,000 for Monday but my excel table says +978,000. Not surprising considering the huge amount of case backload from the weekend (where smaller healthcare workers shifts are usually scheduled) that has to be correctly fed into the data-stream.

For 2022-01-018, WorldOMeter and my excel tables are in line with each other since I am not using the "2 days ago" function for that day:

    2022-01-018 Worldwide 005 - plus cases (excerpt).png
    2022-01-018 WORLDWIDE 000.png

One should note that with almost +465,000 cases in one day, not only did France shatter all old records but now becomes only the 3rd nation on earth to ever exceed +400,000 cases, after the USA and India. Not an enviable record, to say the least.

Also, Germany is just under +100,000 cases.

    And the USA:

    2022-01-018 USA 000.png

In short, our World has now travelled just shy of +6 million fresh C19 cases in just the first two days of this week, and those days are not even the heaviest days. Today, tomorrow and Friday will be, if all patterns hold, of course, the heaviest days of the week.

Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 proved to be - by far - the most historic Covid-19 day in the history of our world to date, but I suspect that his honor will be short-lived as Thursday is already looking at Wednesday and saying "not so fast, hold my beer".

Nonetheless, for the first time ever in the history of the planet, more than +4,000,000 new Covid-19 positives were reported in just one day.

Excel table says close to +4.2 million:

    2022-01-019 WORLDWIDE 000.png

Worldometer says +3.6 million (shunt = 600,000 cases):

    2022-01-019 Worldewide 005 - plus cases.png 2022-01-019 Worldewide 006 - plus cases.png 2022-01-019 Worldewide 007 - plus cases.png

Also, on 2022-01-019, a record breaking 99 nations scored more than +1,000 new cases and actually, the next two ranks were just barely under +1,000. And a record breaking 9 nations reported over +100,000 fresh infections.

For the first time ever, Germany reported more than +100,000 cases in one single day, joining that infamous club. Germany has already reported more than +133,000 cases today and the RKI (Robert Koch Institute) is reporting that they expect that Germany will stay over +100,000 per day until the middle of February.

Also, for the first time ever, Brazil logged more than +200,000 new cases.

France reported between +450,000-500,000 cases for the second day in a row.

And now for the third time, but not consecutive, the USA had more than +1,000,000 cases:

    2022-01-019 USA 000.png

Our world also listed more than +10,000 C19 deaths in one day for the first time since 2020-09-030, almost four months ago. That, if it holds, is a bad sign. But this could also be a one-day outlier. Wait and see.

As you can imagine, this massive wave is sweeping nation after nation after nation over the the next million mark in short order and instead of naming them all individually, here is a simple listing, by date:

    2022-01-019 Covid-19 history update.png

On a side-note, we may already be seeing the Omikron-wave starting to abate in both the UK and in Australia, a good sign. I hope that this is so.

A short update from my county.
4813 cases total, 215 dead of covid and 21 with covid, per 100k = 2900 per week. One of the latest victim county commissioner, 59, 912er, not vaccinated. Caught covid over Christmas, died 1-19-22.
We have jet to have any known Omicron cases, this is all Delta.
If one considers how under populated the county is, with little over 28,000 people, the figures are staggering.
    Death rate around 4%
Vaccination rate is still stagnant at just under 60%. Social distancing and mask wearing, about 50% of the people do so. We are working hard to get the 20% infection rate done.
Neighboring county is working hard, too, with 2900 per week, same with the Navajo, Southern and Northern Ute.

I personally wear a mask again, do the hand sanitizing routine again, but feel pretty save being boostered

Thursday, 2022-01-020 did not set as many records as Wednesday and indeed it appears that Wednesday will end up having been the heaviest day of this week. For the worldwide figures, Excel table says +3.84 million new cases, Worldometer says +3.74 million such cases (shunt = "only" 100,000). However, a record-breaking 102 nations recorded over +1,000 fresh C19 cases on this day.

We are seeing a discernable decline in +cases in both the UK and in Australia, but a massive increase in +cases in places like Mexico and Israel. 0.7% of the population of Israel tested positive on this day. We are also seeing a continued +case rise in the nordic lands of Norway, Sweden and Finland. Also, there is now a substantial bump in +cases to be noticed in Russia. Germany is now holding at over +100,000 cases per day and Poland is now registering the presence of the Omikro-wave. In fact, in every land with more than 80,000,000 residents, there has been a sizeable increase, save in only two countries that are somehow the "exception" (aka, they are lying out their asses): China and Egypt.

For the second day in a row since around four months ago, the world saw more than +10,000 daily C19 deaths. It's not a huge rise, but it is a statistically significant rise because it is already looking to be consistent.

Also, the excel table for the USA:

To hammer in the point from the quick notes on 2022-01-020 (Thursday), today, 2022-01-022, Russia has already reported in with more than +57,000 cases, an all-time high for that nation. Right now, right behind Russia, with 13 times less population, is Belgium with +54,478 and then Australia with +54,133 (a sucess story for Australia in comparison to the two weeks before, to say the least). Mexico has reported in with just under +50,000 and Japan, which had sucessfully beaten back Delta, just came in with +49,600. Poland is at just under +41,000, also a record-high for that land, and on a Saturday, to boot.

The day has not even reached noon in most of Europe, the day is barely starting in the Americas, only 34 nations have reported in as of 5 minutes ago and we are already pushing +500,000 cases worldwide without even a single one of the "dreadnaught" +case nations on the table yet:

    2022-01-022 Worldwide 005 - plus cases (early morning excerpt).png

The numbers we are seeing from Omikron are just insane.

So, yesterday, 2022-01-022, I wrote that posting above when the first 500,000 cases were already recorded. It looks as if we ended Saturday, 2022-01-022 with about +2.84 million cases, 400,000 more +cases than the Saturday before, but not a record setter within this week.

As for Friday, using the "two days ago" function:

    2022-01-021 Worldwide 005 - plus cases.png 2022-01-021 Worldwide 006 - plus cases.png 2022-01-021 Worldwide 007 - plus cases.png

"Only" 95 nations over the +1,000-case mark (instead of 102). A year ago, in the middle of the big winter wave before the Delta wave, this kind of number would have been completely unthinkable.

WorldOMeter says +3.7 million cases worldwide on Friday, 2022-01-022, of them, +800,700 cases in the USA. And the excel table data comes very close to that figure, which means relatively little 'shunt' (typical by the time we get to Fridays):

    2022-01-021 WORLDWIDE 000.png

    2022-01-021 USA 000.png

Right now, as of this very moment on Sunday, 2022-01-023, the world is just over 350,000,000 (350 MILLION) total confirmed/recorded cases, which means that were not one single case more to be reported today (LOL) then the world is already at +20.8 million new cases for CW3 over CW2 and in CW 2, the world was +20.4 million over CW1, which means that we have already exceeded the record from the CW before. it looks very much than when today is completely counted and I put out the CW analysis for this week (on coming Tuesday, of course), then we will have jumped about +22.7 to +22.9 million cases over CW2. Also, our world crossed over the 300,000,000 case mark on Thursday, 2022-01-006 and now we have just crossed over 350,000,000. This means that our world travelled +50,000,000 fresh C19 cases in just 17 days.

For context, in the year 2020, it took our world 11 months and 7 days to get to the first 50,000,000 total C19 cases on 2020-11-007. And now we added that many cases in only 17 days. Food for thought.

REFERENCE LINK, 2022 EDITION (new standing disclaimer as of 2022, written December 31,2021, online libraries, screenshot overflow links) / Also: OLDER EXCEL TRACKING DATA (2020-2021)

COVID-19 WEEKLY concise analysis: 2022-01-017 (Monday) through 2022-01-023 (Sunday)
(UTC +0, Greenwich = 20:00 UTC -5, East Coast of the USA)
    CALENDAR WEEK 03
Worldwide and 'dreadnaught' nations from 10,000,000 COVID-19 cases upwards

THE SIG-FILE EXCEL TRACKING CURRENTLY ENCOMPASSES WORLDWIDE FIGURES + 74 NATIONS
Currently, the figures for worldwide composite figures and 7 of the 74 tracked nations are published here as screenshots on a weekly basis.
Italy and Spain will join the weekly analyses at the end of CW 04.

    WORLDWIDE:
    ΏΏΏ֍֍֍֍֍*** 353,108,323 ***֍֍֍֍֍ΏΏΏ
Our world added almost +24 MILLION total Covid-19 cases in just one week!
    +23,782,997 weekly cases // daily avg = 3,397,571 = 2,359.4 new cases every minute,
    tendency: rising

+57,968 weekly deaths // daily avg = 8,281 = 5.8 new deaths every minute, tendency: rising
MANY NATIONS EXCEEDED THE NEXT MILLION MARK
    CUBA & GEORGIA EXCEEDED 1,000,000 TOTAL C19-CASES

FOR THE OTHER MAJOR RUBRIK CHANGES DURING THIS TIME, SEE RUBRIK TABLE BELOW

    -----------------------------------------

    2022-01-023 WORLDWIDE 000.png

The 3rd full week of 2022 set records one day after the other, with +cases rising sharply literally everywhere and nations springing over the next million-mark practically every day. In fact, a number of nations displayed a doubling of the +case and or +death numbers over the week before, while there are also a small number nations where the Omikron wave appears to already be ebbing. Our world just sprang more +cases (+24 million) in one week than it achieved in total during the first 9.5 months of the pandemic in 2020.

You will notice that the bar for "dreadnaught" nations was raised after the end of 2021 from 5,000,000 total cases to 10,000,000 total cases. Soon, that bar will be raised again, to 20,000,000 total cases. Unbelievable and yet, here we are...

The excel table now calculates weekly cases, deaths and tests (instead of daily) and that the averages are daily averages as they were before, but are no longer rolling averages.

    2022-01-023 WORLDWIDE 000 - RUBRIK WORKTABLE.png

    Also, the history excerpt:

I've added something new to the weekly analyses, namely a table like the one I used for EOM and of course, will now use for EOQ and EOY, here sorted only for cases, namely, + avg cases, descending:

    2022-01-023 WORLDWIDE 000 - top 74 tracking by plus cases.png

You can see that in this last week, five nations added more than +1,000,000 cases to their count and 8 nations added more than +100,000 cases per day (the week before, it was also 8 such nations). Our world ended the week averaging almost +3.4 MILLION cases per day. That pace, if continued would bring our world close to 1.6 BILLION total C19 cases by the end of 2022, to note.

The nine new nations added to the 65 tracked nations, now bringing the list to 74: Costa Rica, Panama, Norway, Lithuania, Slovenia, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Kuwait and Finland.

What I think is troubling is the death rate and it is climbing rather fast.
The county added 7 more in just 1 week.

Monday and Tuesday, 2022-01-024 and 2022-01-025 (only 11 months until Christmas, guys!!!) did not set any major records and yet, there was a lot of movement under the surface, important movement worth noting.

Some good news: in the USA the figures for both Monday and Tuesday of this week were less than the corresponding days of the week before:

    2022-01-025 USA 000 - preliminary.png

That being said, one week ago, the USA was averaging +3.2 million tests per day, it is currently averaging +3.0 million such tests per day - a slight decrease but not enough to account for the severe drop from Monday this week over Monday one week before. So, maybe, just maybe, the USA is already turning the corner on Omikron. @CenterField , your thoughts on this?

    Worldwide:

    2022-01-025 WORLDWIDE 000 - preliminary.png

Worldwide, slightly less +cases on this Monday vis-a-vis the Monday before, but more +cases on Tuesday in the same regard. And Tuesday's figures are only preliminary, I will use the 2-days-ago function tomorrow to lock Tuesday's values into the system.

However, on Tuesday, a number of nations jumped over the next million-mark and some of those names may surprise you:

    2022-01-025 HISTORY.png

You will notice that India went over 39 million on January 22nd and then over 40 million yesterday, January 25th, just three days later.

Also, for the first time ever in its Covid-19 history, France topped +500,000 cases in one day and is well on its way to well over 20,000,000 total cases, clearly leading all other nations in Europe.

Yesterday, Germany came very close to +150,000 cases and the RKI (Robert Koch Institute) is expecting Germany to sail over +200,000 on a number of. days very soon.

The incidence-rate where I live in Germany is now over 1,800...

Also, Ukraine is just shy of 100,000 total Covid-19 deaths and will become the 16th nation on Earth to surpass this gruesome marker in the next days, probably Thursday or Friday.

Here the rest of the data:

    2022-01-024 Worldwide 005 - plus cases (excerpt).png

    2022-01-025 Worldwide 001 - total cases (preliminary).png 2022-01-025 Worldwide 002 - total cases (preliminary).png

As of yesterday, three nations are now over the 900,000-mark with 2 more just under the 900,000-mark: Slovakia, Nepal, Bulgaria, Croatia and Lebanon. These five are all on track to spring over the 1,000,000-mark within the first half of February and a couple of other nations may speed up and join them as well, namely Bolivia and South Korea.

For the analysis for CW 04, which ends this coming Sunday, January 30th, I will be reinputting data into the "millions clubs" table to see how many days my tracked nations under the 1,000,000-mark would need at their current speed to break the million barrier by the end of this quarter.

Here is how that table was at EOY 2021:

As you can see, 7 of those nations already joined the 1,000,000-club, in this order in this month: Morocco, Australia, Ireland, Kazahkstan, Denmark, Cuba and Georgia. And just to show how quickly things can change, at EOY 2021, Cuba was moving so slowly that it was listed as "unlikely" to go over 1,000,000 in Q1 of this year and then 18 days later, it did just that. Also, a nation like Saudi Arabia, which was averaging +530 case per day at EOY 2021 is now averaging +5,275, literally almost exactly 10 times as many cases as back then. So, of the projected 805 days back then that were listed for Saudi Arabia to jump over the 1,000,000 mark, you can think around 70 days as of now. THIS is why it is good to update such projections and since I am not doing EOM analyses anymore but CW 04 is practically EOM January (minus 1 day), then this will be a good time to update. Stay tuned!

THIS also exactly why I upgraded from 50 tracked nations to 65 and now, to 74. Because there are some nations I have barely mentioned that are low on the totem pole right now, like Norway and Finland, that could very well spring over the 1,000,000-mark by EOQ1 or shortly afterward. And mind you, Norway is currently total case rank 62, while Finland is rank 78.....

We live in truly crazy times.

The figures for Tuesday, 2022-01-025 are final and the figures for Wednesday, 2022-01-025 are currently preliminary:

    2022-01-025 Worldwide 005 -plus cases.png 2022-01-025 Worldwide 006 -plus cases.png 2022-01-025 Worldwide 007 -plus cases.png

    2022-01-025 & 026 WORLDWIDE 000.png

So, our world jumped +3.7 million cases and 10,500 deaths on Tuesday and currently stands at +3.6 million cases and 10,800 deaths for yesterday (Wednesday, 2022-01-026). Surely as soon as the figures for yesterday are finalized, we will then be over 363 million cases worldwide.

No records were set on Wednesday but we may be seeing a sort of plateau forming, which is also not really good news.

Russia is moving toward +100,000 cases per day.

The Omikron wave is definitely ebbing in the UK, Ireland and in Australia. Perhaps drinking tee is the solution...

Also, here the data for the USA:

So, the final figures for Wednesday, 2022-01-026 show that we landed at somewhat under over +3.7 million new C19 cases (+3,670,229).
The prelim figures for Thursday, 2022-01-027 show +3,623,007 and surely those figures will go up somewhat by the "2 days ago" mark tomorrow.

It's looking very much like a plateau of about +3.6 to +3.7 million cases during the heavy days of the week, making for an average of about +3.3 to +3.4 million when you include the light days of the weekend.

France, which ended the year 2021 with 9,972,800 total cases, sailed over 18,000,000 cases yesterday, 2022-01-027 (to be exact: 18,122,724) and will surely not be far from 20 million by the end of this month which will mean that France literally doubled it's total, which was a huge one to begin with, in just one months time. No country has every done this on this scale, not even the USA. Yes, at the beginning of the pandemic, the USA raced to the first 1,000,000 like gangbusters, but when the USA hit 10 million, it did not double that in just one month. That honor goes to France and France alone.

I'll produce screenshots for Wednesday and Thursday tomorrow morning.

Ukraine has already reported in for today, 2022-01-028 and now stands at 99,882 total Covid-19 deaths, which means that Ukraine will almost certainly exceed 100,000 total deaths tomorrow, 2022-01-029. Ukraine will become the 16th nation to enter the 6-digit-zone in total deaths.

Also, as of right now, the USA stands at 902,140 deaths, -97,860 from the million-mark in deaths. The USA is currently averaging +2,468 deaths per day, which means that if this rate holds, the USA would exceed 1,000,000 total Covid-19 deaths in 40 days, within the first 3rd of March, 2022.

Also, as of right now, India stands at 492,356 deaths, -7,644 from the 500,00-mark in deaths. India is currently averaging roughly +500 deaths per day, which means that if this rate holds, India would exceed 500,000 total Covid-19 deaths in 16 days, close to mid-February, 2022.
