I do not support it, have said so many times

I think the law doesn't support discrimination based on gender, thus as I have said in the past, repubs and dems in congress need to write some bipartisan laws describing where gender discrimination is ok

the problem is, can dems and republicans do this, can they actually work together to solve this issue?

when it was a teen girl that wanted to play football years ago on the boys team, I admit I supported it, but I see my own bias there, and have changed that view

Find me a woman claim they are equal to men in the aspect of physical strength.

Males are stronger than females. What would you like me to call athletes that were worn male, and identify as female?

Try the ones playing on male football teams.

Women. You can call them women. And not really. The average male and the average female is roughly the same in strength. Think about your definition of strength. You probably mean something like the ability to run faster or something like that. But why should that be the definition of strength? Why not something like longevity? When looked as a whole, women are just as strong as men. To say nothing of trans people.

Notice they become trans athletes after they are mostly physically mature? There is a reason they dominate.

Sorry, but when discussing biology/science, a single term cannot be used to describe both. Knowing that a woman was born a male does not make one a sexist or a transphobe. Psychologically, she is a woman. Once she needs medical care, or enters the arena, she is a bio male.

You are incorrect. Males are stronger than females.

then why do women sports even exist they could just compete with the men if men didn't have any advantage over women.

Trans women are male, or men.
you can't even begin to disprove it it is a biological fact that men are more physically capable than women and since trans women are really just men they are more capable than women.
I see a little hint of dishonesty here you said trans athletes not trans women athletes. Trans men are actually women and they have a disadvantage to men so if they compete with men there's no competition because they are female.

    He does he's male.

Or you could just say something like “cis or trans” to make that distinction. Otherwise you just end up saying that women are pieces of meat.

And the failure to respond to my point rears it’s ugly head again.

"Meat" is a term you used when falsely creating positions for me. I never said that.

I did say that males are stronger than females. That was a direct response to your "point".

You said bio.. as in biology… as in bodies… as in reducing someone to their body… which means you’re treating them like a piece of meat.

To which I directly retorted by saying that relies on a specific definition of strength which may be a bad way to measure strength.

You are still incorrect and your diversion does not refute the facts that males are stronger than females. Since we are discussing athletes, we are talking physical strength.

This may not be politically correct, but scientifically, if a woman has a dick, they're a man. I thought the left was all about following the science? Seems like they only do it when it fits their political narrative.

Then once again, because I have never gotten you to admit this, but why did the IOC let trans athletes compete? Because trans athletes do not have an unfair competitive advantage. Every time it’s ignoring these points. Every time I point something out it’s a refusal to admit that you might be wrong. Every time.

Or more likely the “left” is following the science. I mean, a guy got his dick shot off in a war, so he’s no longer a guy? Basic identity problem.

A biological male doesn’t have a physical advantage over a biological female? Give me what you are smoking.

Christ, have they built a human settlement on Mars yet? I want away from these types of people.

Not what I said. What I said was nobody has proved that trans people have an unfair competitive advantage against cis athletes. Physical strength isn’t everything. So go on. Prove it.

While it’s not everything it is a very large factor. In some sports more so than others as well.

But why is it an unfair competitive advantage? We want competitive advantages in sports. That’s what makes sports exciting. So before you can say that we shouldn’t allow an entire class of people compete because “the science says so” we need to ask ourselves if this is the right thing to do. And that’s a tall order.

What are you talking about “cis athletes”? What the hell does that even mean? That is a made up term and I, like tens of others of millions, refuse to recognize such nonsense. Male/female. Pick one. The only thing exception to that rule is a hermaphrodite. Someone born with a set of knockers and a penis. There is nothing else.

On a thread about trans athletes… you don’t know what the term “cis” refers to? But you have an opinion on trans athletes and whether they should compete? Is that really your position?

In that case, why not destroy women’s and men’s sports all together and have coed sports. No need in separation of gender at all. Coed boxing, coed basketball, coed football, coed rugby. No more women’s records, no more men’s records, just records per sport.

And that begs the question-why do we have female and male sports in the first place?

Tell me, how do you prove that women are physically strong enough to vote and run for office?

I think the original reason is to have a separate bar for women and men. So that they can experience breaking their own goals as a gender. Believe it or not I think women can actually physically compete in boxing. Not at a very great level but I think you may get your occasional girl that beats down on a guy but it will be very rare.

I don’t think the issue with women running for office or voting was ever about their physical ability. I think the argument back in the day was their ability to understand the issues which was a very poor prejudice I’m glad was pushed out.

That is totally untrue- the average woman is not roughly the same in strength as a male. And when it comes to athletics, we are not talking about the average male and female.

Allowing trans women to compete in athletics against bio born females is cheating, and wrong. You continue to move the goal posts on this to weave in non-athletic comparisons.

I am against trans females competing against me, a biologically born female, in athletic competition.
