A transgender woman arrested in Egypt last week for allegedly taking part in anti-government protests has been subjected to a forced anal examination that amounts to torture, a rights group has claimed. Malak el-Kashef, 19, was detained on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organisation, a reference to the banned Muslim Brotherhood. She had reportedly taken part in anti-government demonstrations sparked by a deadly train crash in Cairo. Following her arrest last Wednesday, rights groups had expressed concern that she may be targeted because of her gender. Ms Kashef has undergone gender reassignment surgery, but is still officially registered as a male in Egypt. These types of examinations are a “cruel and inhumane treatment” of prisoners and amount to “torture”. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...nsgender-torture-protests-cairo-a8819186.html Remember all those who support the Islamo Arabo Jihado issues .. This is the real life in "modern" Arab countries.
So protesting against the government had nothing to do with it huh? lol Is this the only transgender in Egypt because following your logic they all should have been rounded up and anally probed by now. If that hasn't happened then this creature was probably just arrested for protesting and threw a fit when they checked to make sure it didn't have a bomb hiding in it's rectum.
If I was homosexual or a trans in the mid east, I'd make sure I lived in a village with one story buildings.
And simply walk to the market, don't go there twirling around with your broken wrist and speaking in a high pitched voice while saying, "hey lover" to every guy you pass.
Ehm ... who supports the military government of Egypt again? Oh yes .... the USA! But wait ... a transgender should be a member of the Islamist scum "Muslim Brothers" as you write? Loooool! I think there are more likely all Trump fans in the United States members of the Democrats and Trump himself also changes the party membership, as that such a thing can happen!
Do we look on the bright side and feel relief that this person wasn't stoned to death, like they now likely would be in places that more fully embrace Sharia? Like Brunei? Does that make Egypt, "progressive"? I also find it difficult to believe that the Muslim brotherhood would have embraced this person as a member. Doesn't seem to gel with their pretty public positions of traditional gender.
Please do not include all the countries of the Middle East. This is only about Arab Muslim countries.
The worrying thing is that now we will see even more 'asylum' seekers coming to the US using such claims as a justification. https://www.voanews.com/a/asylum-seeker-from-egypt-able-to-stay-in-us/4104358.html
