Yup. Airborne viruses exist all over the place. It's just a part of life.

Does anyone still think we can vaccinate and/or social distance our way to a covid-free world?

No. Our best bet is to work hard to stay healthy. For those who like mandates, how about we hire government workers to chase the obese with a stick until they reach a healthy weight?

Sounds like a lot of speculation. Either way, we don't have Quarantine Hotels in US.

"The possible reason for such transmission has been demonstrated via a smoke test in DQHs, conducted by researchers during an on-site investigation in late November 2021. This test revealed aerosols could leak out from guest rooms to the hotel corridors, and people staying in the adjacent rooms could inhale the infectious aerosols when the doors were opened."
