Horse Hockey! Hackers will glean names, addresses, birth dates and social security numbers off those tapes before you can say "This will happen if Obama Care is fully implemented". Obama want's those records available on-line between medical facilities. Your personal information doesn't stand a ghost of a chance of staying private. Name, address, birth date and social security number is all an identity thief needs to open credit in your name. That's when the nightmare starts. Contact your Senators and Congressmen and tell them you object to the open access of your private information by anyone in any medical facility that cares to look.

Great. This is just awesome and I so loved Tri-Care with their "awesome" service anyway. :puke:

I'm still calling my bank to warn them about a possible ID theft.

    Great security *shakes head*

You'd think something like this would be guarded like the nation's nuclear codes. But hey...let's just transport it in some underpaid lackey's car. Anyone have the Picard facepalm picture?

This has happened to Tricare at least three times in the last five years. It may have happened more, but I know for sure of three specific cases where thousands of people's personal data was compromised.

They don't have a very good track record so far.
