The full briefing by Iran's revolutionary guards on the strike against the US bases. Maybe someone can translate it for you. You won't like or agree with everything that is said, but this was and is Iran's position on the issue.
Your government got caught telling two very big lies within hours of each other and got busted. No technicality gets around that. You are desperately trying to claim that by not immediately reporting a few concussions (which it reported a short time later) America is somehow worse than a nation that lied about killing 80 Americans who did not die and over 150 airline passengers who did. Saddest of all, you try to link the unrelated deaths of two US airmen in Germany to all of this. If anyone was keen on an example of how living under an authoritarian regime can warp minds this is a stellar one.
Is it? There is no evidence that the Iranian general posed any imminent threat to 4 US places. The politicians just made it up. We all know it. It's just like that WMD threat Iraq supposedly had. That too was all made up by them same far right wing US war hawks. How is that a clear example of not living under an authoritarian regime?
Right wing hawks? Ever heard of Left Wing Hawks? I thought Left Wing human rights activists made up that story about Sadaam Hussein gassing the Kurds and Iranians.
I have said pretty much all I felt needed to be said on this subject. I have given the actual accounts by Iran and the US -- accounts which people can still argue about. And my conclusion about the issue is implicit in what I have written. You don't need to share my conclusion and can even imagine that the injuries suffered by the US in Iran's strike were akin to Trump's version of the "truth" and were 'headaches" and such. On the latter, however, this AP piece (which in any case relies purely on the Pentagon's latest narrative, despite that narrative not being gospel either) has its own conclusion on the kind of characterization you like to make out of these injuries. https://apnews.com/ef01f370471f00bbd8b2900492962189 AP FACT CHECK: Trump’s false assurance about troops in Iraq
You clearly have no idea what an 'authoritarian regime' is. I suspect that every second I take trying to educate you would be a waste of my time.
The troops out there are still very lucky if that is the case. But we could never rely on luck all the time, mostly if American lives are at stake.
If my government had spent days lying about shooting down an airliner and actually accused the people telling the truth of lying I'd be looking to exit the discussion too. Very awkward. I guess its easier pushing government propaganda in a nation where the opposition risk beating, imprisonment or murder. Out here in the world people get to present the truth without fear of persecution.
Oh I do. But when you think lying is what an authoritarian regime does, I do present the US government that lies all the time. 4 targets... imminent danger... lol. GWB is still looking for the WMD's in the Iraqi desert.
After the Pentagon first claimed that 11 US servicemen were flown to Kuwait and Germany "out of an abundance of caution" for concussion related symptoms, the Kuwaiti newspaper, Al Qadas, had a report that already suggested the Pentagon version of the 'facts' was inaccurate and misleading. The report in Al Qadas first appeared on 18 January. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Iranian_attack_on_U.S._forces_in_Iraq Regardless of the veracity of this report, instead of just relying on what the Pentagon has to say, I would think US journalists could be bothered to check with sources in the facilities (e.g., in Iraq, in Kuwait, in Germany, as well as in the US) which have or had treated the US servicemen to learn more about the nature of their injuries. I don't think that would take a huge effort to so and it might throw light on some of the issues relating to US casualties from Iran's missile strikes. https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/2...s-flown-to-kuwait-hospital-after-iran-strike/
All governments lie to some extent. Authoritarian governments don't let you do anything about it. If you can't tell the difference then I can't help you.
Has something been done against the total bull of the Trump government selling their fake news about the imminent danger to supposedly 4 targets? Has something been done against GWB government selling their fake news about Iraq's WMD's? Seems GOP president are down right liars. Lias to sweet talk war and massacres. Are you aware that this isn't just something small?
