This place seems the best. Sports? Man, taking his life and maybe tossing it away is no sport.

    Survive? He did.

Watch this guy leap from many many thousands of feet up. Notice you see the curve of Earth. You look down on peaks of either hills or mountains. You make that call.

This would scare most of us.

    Would you do this?

So far he is the only man to jump from very high up with no parachute to save him.

The story is he almost wore a parachute but at the last moment, the authority demanding it changed so he leaped with no parachute of any kind.

The net you see measures 100 by 100 feet.

I have had people refuse to fly with me since they are frightened by heights.

One time though, a woman changed her mind.

And she surprised me so much.

    Story
She taught school. Her husband also taught school. He wanted me to take him up. I said sure, and he brings his wife and child. She got scared.

Anyway, it ends up she decided to fly with me so long as she sat up front with her husband in back.

She is admiring the beauty of the SF Bay Area when I asked her, how would you like to fly it?

I told her not to make any sudden fast moves that I was still in charge.

She takes the controls and I am keeping my eye open for other airplanes. She heads at the Golden Gate Bridge. I say, fly over and get to the ocean. She does. She then heads north up the coast and at a point, I told her to head East so we could go over other sites. We ended up her flying it for maybe an hour. She was converted to loving to fly.

I remember when Evel Knievel was making all that money I thought what could possibly be more dangerous, and this was it.

Remember that you have a terminal velocity of 121 mph at sea level and even if he fell from higher it would still be that at the end. So it sort of surprises me that no one has tried this before.

Not to minimize it , of course, I certainly couldn't do it nor could most people

I'm terrified of heights but love to fly and always insist on a window seat. The beauty overwhelms any fear
