Trump admin has no central strategy for election security, and no one's in charge"
    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/ele...no-one-n895256

Not surprising, it is a fact that Putin and the Donald were on the same side in 2016, both wanted Trump elected, and we all know the Kremlin worked to attain that goal, so why would Trump now bother to combat Russian interference in 2018 when it worked so well for him in 2016?

Especially since early signs show the Kremlin efforts are again aimed at Democrat candidates?

NSA, CIA, FBI, all seventeen intelligence agencies are totally helpless and have no idea of what to do. The only solution is to call upon the military to make war on Russia.

    россияне идут

How about the states buckle down and manage their own election integrity? Photo ID, paper ballot backups, and cease with the six month early voting crap.

Yep, theres a solid plan. Problem is that some don't want any of that...they just want to claim Trump has no plan.

Requiring an ID to vote would probably help.

It's more TDS ranting from those that wander aimlessly after their landslide election losses.

Now explain to us how ID's and early voting checks foreign involvement in our elections? I don't think I heard of any Russians voting in 2016

It is a federal problem, and an Administration actually interested in checking foreign involvement would be leading the way, but as I said, why would they when it worked for them so well the last time

    A. He doesn't, nor seemingly doesn't want one, why would he, it worked so well for him last time

    B. And how does Voter ID's and early voting stop foreign interference in our elections?

Why would trump want to have any thing done about it? After all, his win was probably due mostly to Putin's interference.

this is completely inexcusable on trumps part, and also with congress of not forcing him to implement the security updates.

I, and others, would be interested in seeing your evidence that "Putin and the Donald were on the same side in 2016, both wanted Trump elected, and we all know the Kremlin worked to attain that goal".

You Lefties keep saying that, but you never manage to prove it. Why would Putin not favor a candidate that had promised to continue Obama's weak policies in Europe and the Middle East? How did Russia get Trump elected? How many votes were changed? What would you do to increase voting security.

As for me, I think photo IDs and paper ballots are a good idea. Paper ballots provide an isolated, backup record that cannot be hacked.

Here ill fix the voting system ready:

Step 1. Electronic voting machine that prints a paper receipt with your vote.

Step 2. Place that in another box.

Step 3. Count those votes up and match it to the records on the electronic machine.

Full proof method for crosschecking. Also have different districts cross check each other.

Yeah, his win couldn't have possibly been about the Left's bad ideas, bad policies and bad candidates like the Republican wins that came before it.

Blame is better to give than receive, eh?

Keep thinking that. it will make 2018 and 20 easier for us. Sure, your platforms and offerings to the people are fine, don't change those... it's just Putin.

Well, I could take the time to post the reports of the sixteen intelligence entities that came to that conclusion but I'm sure your next comment will be they are all "deep state" out to get Trump or something of that nature

And Putin himself admit at Helsinki that he wanted Trump to win, he definitely was more fearful of a Hillary Russian policy than what looks like a Trump approach, one playing right into his hands by weakening the Western democracies allied against him

Photo ID's are irrelevant, can't say I remember a whole lot of Russians voting in 2016, and any real measure has to go beyond paper ballots, a focused Federal effort led by the Administrarion is needed, but, as I noted, the weak effort so far might just be by design

Senate report: No evidence that Russians changed vote tallies in 2016

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...russians-changed-vote-tallies-2016/592978002/

The left keeps making the claim that the election was hacked in favor of Trump, and that there was collusion between Trump and Putin. There has been no evidence of either claim actually occurring. What has been known and what the evidence does show is that the Russians attempted to sway voters decisions through a social media campaign, and that the Russians obtained evidence of DNC corruption and leaked it to the US public by either directly hacking DNC servers, or through other sources. The there is also evidence that the Russians attempted and failed to gain access to RNC servers. So the basis of this entire thread, and the NBC article is off the mark.

Babies in their high chairs eagerly eat every bite of the applesauce being fed to them. The headline should read "Open up, here comes the airplane!"

I wonder is requiring ID would help???

What country was invaded by Russia under Trump?

    Think hard now...
