Trump separated small children from their parents without providing a way for them to EVER be reunited again.

    Obama did NOT DO THAT.

Trump dragged children under the age of 5 before immigration court without their having representation - either from parents or from legal assistance in their cases.

    Obama did NOT do that.

Trump deported children without their parents.

    Obama did NOT do that.

Trump deported parents without their children.

    Obama did NOT do that.

    You're confused.

The issue here isn't one of law.

    Do your reading.

    That's what you've got ...

    "Whataboutism"

The thing here is that there are valid reasons for separating children from parents.

But, Trump had NO VALID REASON for doing what he did - those acts stated above.

And, he actually BRAGGED about it!

Now, we have families that may well have PERMANENTLY lost their children without there being any justification for that.

And, the idea of hauling young children before the court for high stakes cases without parents or other representation is just plain sickening.

No Im not confused. We have executive judicial and legislative. Trump is the POTUS and therefore executive. You are factually wrong...unless of course The United States is now a dictatorship.

And, the problem came from the POTUS - the executive.

Seriously, I thought you knew Trump was POTUS.

    Sorry about that.

Trump was withing the bounds of the law when he did what he did to more than 2000 families.

However, the law did NOT require him to do what he did.

The law didn't say that it is required that children be taken from families without there being any way for them to EVER be returned.

The law didn't say that small children have to stand before the immigration courts without representation or even their parents.

The law didn't say that minor children have to be deported to foreign countries WITHOUT their parents.

The law didn't say that parents need to be deported without their minor children.

I'm not sure what's got you so confused.

You should do your reading before you pop off here.

to force you to understand how full of crap you are on this. Answer the following honestly and factually. When a U.S. citizen commits a crime and is detained by authorities do we allow their children to be detained with them under our law?

You're still just plain ignorant or in total denial of what happened here.

The issue is with Trump policy, NOT THE LAW.

You need to catch up. You are WAY in the weeds.

    I answered that above.

That has NOTHING AT ALL to do with dragging kids younger than FIVE before the immigration court without their parents or representation to answer questions related to asylum.

It has NOTHING AT ALL to do with deporting kids and parents separately with no way of having them reunited.

Somehow, you TOTALLY missed what this issue is about.

Answer the question. We are going to have you state whether trumps policy is the same, different or now worse for U.S. citizens who are detained. Dodge for me again...so I can win.

    Like Melania says... who cares.
I mean, they are law breakers. What do they expect, the Hilton?
The entire reason that these people come is because we are too nice.
They should be thankful that we are taking care of their kids while they are in jail

Years ago the libs signed this into law.
They figured that no-one would be able to stop (the) dumping kids on our border.. Wrong.
