Attack? You dims are absolutely the most weak willed people in the world if you think that constitutes an attack. Grow a spin.
This thread is not about Baron. It's about a minor Twitter exchange between two publicity hounds: Donald and Greta.
Says the party that called a little kid a "future serial killer" (and "potential rapist"). In case you forgot, you guys were referring to the President's youngest son. Yea...we don't buy your fake outrage bro
I love all these triggered leftists on Twitter trying to compare Trump going after Greta to Karlan going after Baron Trump. There is a big difference. Greta has, like all of us on this forum, voluntarily entered the political arena, which comes with consequences; Baron did not. One of those consequences is those of the other side being critical of you and your ideas. You don't get carte blanche because of your age. That's ageist!
So you think it's great that the President of the United State feels the need to pick on a 16 year old retarded girl because she beat him out of person of the year. Wow I'm impressed.
The President wasn't being considered. The President also was named Person of the Year two years ago.
No, actually I commented in post #36 that I'm not terribly comfortable with some of the personal insults which Trump Tweets. I also wouldn't call Greta "retarded".
Fair enough. There is nothing that says that you cannot be the person of the year twice. Both of the previous presidents were named as such when they won re-election. Perhaps it will happen to Trump when he wins re-election.
You forgot to hyphenate. It should be "16-year-old retarded girl," not "16 year old retarded girl." Since you want to play that petty game, I thought I'd join you.
I'm an engineer by training so I am not allowed to be good at grammar. But how does that relate to my post Miss teacher?
Well, it's not your grammar; it was your punctuation that I was correcting; the two are not one and the same. Speaking of punctuation, you forgot the comma before the phrase "Miss teacher." Let this be a lesson: those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. You clearly are not intelligent--or at least not perfect--when it comes to the fundamental aspects of the English language, so please do not mock others when they make a trivial mistake, arguing that the triviality is a hallmark of their ignorance of the English language, because your posts are far from paragons of correct punctuation.
But when DeGeneres asked Thunberg if she would meet with Trump to discuss climate change, the teenager shrugged it off. “I don’t understand why I would do that,” Thunberg said. “I don’t see what I could tell him that he hasn’t already heard, and I just think it would be a waste of time, really.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/greta-thunberg-meeting-with-trump-would-be-a-waste-of-time-really This statement, I think also angered Trump.
I don't think Trump is angry at a teenager. I think he is making fun of her to entertain his base and remind them that if America votes for the Dem Socialists, Greta-style histrionics is what we get.
Yet it seems like you had no trouble understanding me. But since you are so good, maybe you can explain this post for me.
It's not her, but rather the people who pushed to put a confused and very angry girl into the limelight. She's been poorly abused by leftists with an agenda, and no girl should be as angry as she is. The sad fact of it all is that she's going to wake up one day and realize just how ridiculous she came across, and the first thing she's going to do is blame the people who took advantage of her naivety.
I’ve criticized Thunberg in the past and I’ve noted how in some respects she is correct. If she doesn’t want criticism then she ought not to have chosen this path. Her disability, age, etc. are intended to protect her from criticism. Doesn’t work with me. If her ideas stink, then she’ll get criticism and rightly so. It’s not just Trump fan boys who have a problem with her platform. I’m an independent who is actively engaged in protecting and preserving our planet and I’m disturbed by the appeal to emotion mode of operation shielded by age and disability. What’s really fascinating is how the hard core environmental players are oblivious to the beat down Greta laid on them. She spanked them hard and they are too self unaware to realize they were one of her targets.
Folly is to be mocked; and let's face it, she's a fool. The difference between a liar and a fool is that the liar knows that they're lying, whereas the fool believes it. To be a liar, one must not only remember their lies, they must also remember that they are lying. At the moment liars forget that they are lying, they stop being a liars make a fools out of themselves. I think that little Greta was fooled from the beginning. The kid never stood a chance; even still, you have to call out the folly if not necessarily the fool.
Ah the irony! Melania Trump’s plea to ‘be best’ has fallen on deaf ears at the White House, with her husband attacking 16-year-old activist Greta Thunberg for becoming TIME’s Person of the Year. TIME Person of the Year loser Donald Trump, 71, went on an early morning Twitter spree on December 12, this time aiming his ire at 16-year-old Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. Trump’s advice, that Greta work on her “anger management” issues and relax, came one day after the environmentalist, who spent the last year mobilizing youth to take action against climate change, became the youngest individual to ever be named Person of the Year by TIME magazine. “So ridiculous,” the President of the United States tweeted. “Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” Greta wasted no time in responding. Shortly after the president fired off the tweet, she changed her Twitter bio to read: “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend.” It’s the same tactic that she’s used in dealing with criticism from world leaders. After her powerful speech at the United Nations in September, in which she called on the people at the top to “do something” and to stop stealing “my dreams and my childhood,” Trump tweeted that she “seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future.” Guess what Greta’s Twitter bio read later that day? Trump’s latest petty attack on a child came just a week after First Lady Melania Trump and the rest of the GOP called for Professor Pamela Karan‘s head for even mentioning 13-year-old Barron Trump‘s name during the House impeachment hearings. “The Constitution states that there can be no titles of nobility,” the Stanford law professor stated during the December 4 hearing. “So while the president can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron.” Even invoking the name of the Trumps’ young son was off limits, according to the First Family. “A minor child deserves privacy and should be kept out of politics… you should be ashamed of your very angry and obviously biased public pandering, and using a child to do it,” the First Lady said.” Melania’s initiative as First Lady is called “Be Best,” and focuses on resolving issues that affect children — like cyberbullying. Greta has thick skin, and has survived attacks by plenty of angry, high-powered adults who are very clearly scared of her. But she shouldn’t have to — just like the First Lady said. The high school student started her Fridays for Futures protests by herself, sitting outside of the Swedish Parliament building every Friday to protest her government’s inaction in combatting climate change. Her protests gained momentum, and more participants. On September 20, millions of young students walked out of school to join her in a global climate strike, shortly before she addressed the United Nations general assembly. Greta was dubbed Person of the Year 2019, TIME’s Editor in Chief, Edward Felsenthal said, because “she became the biggest voice on the biggest issue facing the planet this year, coming from essentially nowhere to lead a worldwide movement.” https://hollywoodlife.com/2019/12/1...reta-thunberg-time-person-of-the-year-barron/
