We know that Donald J. Trump is not a particularly religious person, despite his waving the bible from a podium and proclaiming that it is his favorite book. He has not exactly exemplified the values and lifestyle that true Christians aspire to.

But we also know that he successfully courted the religious right, the fundamentalist evangelicals, in order to get nominated and elected. We also know that while they distrust him, they saw him as the better alternative-as the candidate who would do their bidding and it appears that they were correct. Case in point:

    In addition:

The question is- is he an unwitting patsy, or is there something more nefarious going on? Lets take a closer look.

There is at least one prominent conservative Christian who has expressed a degree of incredulity over what he is seeing:

Even Richard Land Is Shocked By How Much Influence The Religious Right Is Having In Shaping Trump’s Administration

So who is Richard Land? A moderate ? A liberal Christian? Not hardly. He is in fact a well know right wing culture warrior Richard Land

Land went on to say in the above piece:

The most disconcerting part of this is the type of appointees to the federal courts that Trump is likely to make. It appears that our secular government and society- the very concept of the separation of church and state is now at grave risk!!

Do you actually expect any reasonable person left or right to take an activist groups web site like The Freedom From Religion Foundation as a unbiased impartial source of credible information on anything involving religion?

That world be the same as using storm front as a credible source for information on Blacks or Jews

You know, I remember you from previous encounters and recognize your intellectual limitations so I won't be to hard on you here. However, I do have to point out that what you are doing here is attacking the source because you disagree with the philosophy while failing to deal with the actual content. Is there anything being said there that you can objectively refute or are you just flail around trying desperately to score a point the eludes you? :oldman::oldman:

Your analogy says more about the sense of entitlement that religion has than it does about FFR. People that just cannot bear any dissent from the religious entitlement in our social and cultural life are the problem, not FFR; not even calls for equality of status for the non-religious will be tolerated, will they? Actually, your signature says it all doesn't it?

    I could be wrong.....
and if so four years from now I will try to remember to apologize to you but I am expecting
far more to be accomplished toward actually stabilizing the climate.... than was done
    by President Obama......

but the flavour of what will be done will be very different than what the Democrats would have
    decided on.......

Should AboveAlpha allow us to set him up for the office of POTUS as early as 2016?

The nation of ISRAEL has experienced COOLING in its climate since the 1950's. On a per capita basis they led the world in planting trees and in large scale desalination of ocean water for agriculture, reforestation projects as well as for towns. Israel has given us hope that my obviously well informed online friend may well NOT be correct!
