Because I'm not for open borders and have defended the use of criminal background checks and verification of economic self-sufficiency or sponsorship as reasonable measures. I advocate more legal restrictions on immigration than my own ancestors faced.

The Trump administration tried getting rid of visa holders and even green card holders during Muslim Ban 2.0. They later backed off on the green card holders and said their was a "misunderstanding."

So we’ll still be giving political power to all he doesn’t round up, as well as the 10 million legal non citizens here.

    Source please.

Assuming these were permanent immigration visa holders, had the people at risk of deportation committed crimes?

Visas are, by definition, not permanent. Green cards are. And no, they hadn't committed crimes. I took for granted people were watching the news when this happened, so I'll grab more sources later, but for now I'll just grab an easy one.

A green card is a permanent immigration visa. Ask me how I know.

Your source says people were stopped and their immigration status verified.

It says nothing about them being deported, under deportation orders, or held for deportation.

As I suspected, your statement was false.

Ahh, and here I thought you just didn't know.

Implementation. The ACS has an initial sample of approximately 3.5 million housing unit addresses and group quarters in the United States. The Census Bureau selects a random sample of addresses to be included in the ACS. ... Like the decennial census, ACS responses are confidential.
    Activity: Survey
    Participants: 3.5 million households/year
    Country: United States

I don't think that is quite true and your link does not even support that. The article states:

It does not say that their visa or green card were not honored, it just says that they endured "secondary inspections".

    Exactly.

    I knew it was nonsense.

All it takes is a light scratching at the surface and their narrative collapses.

Also, nearly 1 in 4 of those stopped shouldn't have been here.

Well, we were discussing the National Census.....not the intermittent sampling used to solidify ACS's predictions.

A green card is lawful permanent residence status. Visas are temporary approvals for things like travel, work, and education.

"Trump's first travel ban went into effect just one week into his presidency, when he signed an executive order blocking refugees as well as visa and green card holders from seven majority-Muslim countries from entering the U.S." He later backed off on the green card holders and called it a "miscommunication."

If they were prevented from entering the US, which is what the executive order said, then their visas and green cards were not honored.

It does not say they were prevented from entering the US, just that they were stopped for "secondary inspection".

Is the ACS used when determining representation?

A green card is a visa.

Permanent residence is a visa that must be renewed every 10 years, and can be made null and void in certain circumstances.

I'm intimately familiar with the process.

When entire countries are banned all people entering from those countries are automatically banned from entering, including all non-US citizens.

Green card holders from those countries were then exempted from this automatic process, even though he didn't have to do it.

This is just complaining about what Trump might have done, had he actually done it. As usual.

He’s giving political representation to 10s of millions of non citizens. You’ve not addressed that at all.

Do you think immigrants with all the proper paperwork who pay into the system are the same as illegal immigrants? You must because that's the only way your question makes sense lol

The part where you don't need a census count of citizens to comply with the 14th Amendment.
