    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/08/03/trump-blasts-birx-after-coronavirus-claims-390881

After just a couple of days worth of Trump administration officials attacking Pelosi because she criticized Birx in a closed door meeting, which you can read here, here, and here, Trump got triggered by Birx's public - and very valid - comments on the spread of the virus and decided to call Dr. Birx "pathetic."

So much for that new tone on the virus.

so Pelosi thinks Birx is compromised cause she has to walk a narrow line to not upset her boss, Trump has a very fragile ego

then Trump validates this by letting his fragile ego show - lol

I really wish he would stop tweeting. I really do. It does nothing except fan the flame and cheapen his role as POTUS.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...-white-house-coronavirus-adviser-birx.576354/

Anyway, now all of Trump's Supporters will have to start backpedaling because now Trump is also attacking Birx.

So, when Nancy attacked Birx it was "Nancy Bad"/"Birx Good"

But, now that the Cheeto God has spoken it is "Birx Bad"

Sometimes, I wonder how Trump expects to retain any support when he is constantly changing positions and then he expects his supporters to constantly backpedal to "defend" him.

I agree 100%, granted I wouldn't know he even had a twitter account if angry people didn't post up his tweets here on the forum, because I think twitter is a cesspool.

I understand WHY he uses twitter, but I don't like HOW he does it. Its turrible. He comes across as a twitter troll, and then the trolls just troll back, its a mess.

He only wants 100% submission and allegiance. It's exhausting. I've seen people deny and/or rationalize all kinds of nonsense so I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen with this.

Trump has already "cheapened his role" to the point where he has permanently denigrated the Office.

He has Disgraced the Office and made the USA a Worldwide Laughingstock.

Trump's search for a New Low has already reached levels below the Marianas Trench.

His attack on Birx is just another nugget on the pile.

I don't use social media at all. I agree he comes across as a troll and that's not what I want to see in someone who is leader of a country.

I had a History teacher in high school that had a policy of NEVER speaking to students about their assignment or exam grades until 24 hours had passed. At the time, it was annoying, but as I matured, I began to understand his side of it. That 24 hours was a "cooling down" period for us to think about what we wanted to say without so much emotion and unproductive conversations.

I think that would work well for Trump. If he would just take a "cooling down" period before posting, it would save a ton in damage control and possibly redeem him in the eyes of those slowly moving away in the midst of his seemingly inability to think before he speaks/tweets.

I wouldn't believe it if I wasn't seeing and hearing it with my own eyes and ears. Unbelievable on so many counts.

Lol...no, we’re worried about the trump virus.
With luck, we’ll have a vaccine on November 3.

100% agreement here. Pelosi is expecting Birx and Fauci to walk the same tightrope and swirve and weave at the same time while they do it. They are making a day by day, moment by moment calculation on what to say and when and still retain access to Trump, to his advisors, and to the the red state trump voters in rural areas that are beginning to get hit hard but will only watch what when and who trump tells them to. They may not both make the same choices about when to publicly contradict the man with the audience they need to get to, and when to purse their lips and stare, but they are both winging it as they go under almost impossible circumstances. Birx is a little more cautious, than Fauci, but they both will deserve all honors for their perseverance under His Majesty King Donald.

They have to pick their time and walk on egg shell if they are going to do this job.

Being honest, I'm not sure 24 hours is enough for him lol, maybe 72, but preferably he would just tell someone that is a better communicator what he wants to say and have them re-word it so as to not be so incendiary. Granted he would still get attacked by trolls, but he would hold the moral high ground, which would help him with the moderates.

I think if he had 24 hours he would just make longer and more immature tweets. Opinion not fact.

never going to happen, granted I can't argue with his system with much success, it certainly worked for him the first time around, the only thing keeping him in the hunt for reelection IMO is Biden, someone I just can't find myself comfortable with based on mental decline, and policies I disagree with on so many levels. I'm being forced to vote for the lesser of two evils again, and this time I won't go 3rd party.

I can't stand DJT, but i'll be the first to admit that I like his policies, I just don't like how he goes about it, so dam abrasive, but I'm literally left with no other logical options.

I am in that same boat with you and I believe many, many others are as well. I don't think I've ever wanted a Presidential election to be over so quickly in my life. It might be this shelter-in-place thing but I'm counting the days to when this particular topic is closed. ;-0

what's fun is watching the Trump talking heads on TV trying to agree with Trump on both positions, as they have signed an NDA that they can never disagree with him publically

You've summed it up nicely here. I wonder if there should be some kind of separation between the office of the President and Birx and Fauci (and those charged with those areas of expertise). You are right. They are basically walking on a landmine and that's not what we need. We need to know the experts and doctors tasked with leading us through the country are not silenced (or derailed) for fear of losing their positions. Can something like that feasibly happen?

there might have been a time when I'd be asking for suggestions, but honestly i've move past twitter some time ago, perhaps its silly to paint it with such a broad brush but from my pov its just a mess with the majority of people taking turns trading insults.

Here is Early Taste of Trump's "Legacy" in the History Books.

The First thing that future generations of kids will think of when they hear the name Donald Trump WILL Be: Trump's VIRUS.

Trump's Name will become as associated with VIRUS as much as Nixon's name is with Watergate.

    ^That is (already) a given.

    As far as Tweets?

Can you even imagine the Presidential Museum?

A Wall of Ridiculous Immature Rage Tweets and interactive exhibits like "Build your own Wall".

And, neat stuff to take home:

A great experience for All Ages.

Absolutely. I would be a little appeased if he even pretended to give a d*mn. Regardless of the politics, he should have a much stronger and empathetic persona facing the public right now.

I am convinced President Trump does this just to keep some posters as far off balance as possible. Seems to work don't you think?

You have no idea what Trump does or does not think. If you think the job is easy, why not join in with a couple of other know it all posters and run for Prez.
