Every president since maybe Nixon, except for Obama, has had middle East peace high on their to do list. Only Carter and Clinton made some inroads that were highly touted by the media and the public (and IMO rightly so). Now Trump seems to be on the road to getting signed peace agreements with almost every antagonistic Arab country. This would be a world shattering landmark accomplishment even if it got no further than the current agreements signed or on the table.

The media is giving it a giant HO HUM. It is mentioned usually in passing. This compares to the 24/7 lead story of how Trump had completely 'destroyed any hope' of ever peace in the middle East when he recognized Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and announced moving the embassy there. (Interestingly a montage of these many and varied news reports are nearly word for word the same.) Another example of showing where the media agenda lies.

It might be getting a “ho hum” treatment because it’s the Middle East. As you pointed out, peace in the Middle East has been high on the to-do list yet still hasn’t been achieved. That just might be because it isn’t achievable, through no fault of Trump. I hope he can broker peace in that region but given its history I’m doubtful it’s possible.

It is my understanding that this approach has not been tried before. Rather than trying to broker a peace between the Palestinians and Jerusalem, he is brokering the peace between Jerusalem and the other Arabian countries which puts pressure on the Palestinians because they would no longer have strong allies. Rather brilliant, I would say.

The Palestinians responded by sending a barrage of rockets into Jerusalem. Apparently, they do not like that approach. That is a good indication it is working.

With President Trump's strong record on negotiation and diplomacy we will finally see peace in the middle east.

See what I mean??? There has already been two brokered and signed peace agreements between Israel and Arab states in the past few weeks and you seem to have not heard about them.

OK. With every peace agreement or treaty one always has to wait and see how well it lasts.

Even most of our leftists know at this point that the vast bulk of the nation's media outlets essentially work for the ongoing political interests of the DNC. Almost none of them will admit it . . . but almost all of them know it. Had Barack Obama done what Trump just pulled off then there would be massive media generated legs-tingling Obamagasms for WEEKS. But since it was Trump who pulled off a tremendous Peace Coup . . . there essentially is nothing from the blatantly leftist loyal Mainstream Media. So . . . it . . . goes.

It's always disappointing when the author of an OP can't get past the first sentence of the post before asserting a factual inaccuracy.

What is getting overlooked behind these two historic deals in the Middle East, is that the President was nominated a second time for the Nobel Peace Prize, for the historic deal he was to get between Kosovo and Serbia....

Giving Trump any kind of praise for what he's done right now for the ME is a bit like praising a parent for raising a healthy adult when all they've done is feed their toddler a healthy lunch today. ME peace isn't going to be the result of a few agreements or meetings, especially when it only involves a couple of countries. If this is the start of a long lasting peace, I'll be happy to credit Trump with it in 20 years for getting the ball rolling. But there's no way to know right now whether what he's done will actually accomplish anything long term.

I applaud any step that brings the world closer to peace in the Middle East. Accords that have been signed are:
    Egypt Jimmy Carter
    Jordan Bill Clinton
    UAE Donald Trump
    Bahrain Donald Trump
I hope this trend continues. We have a long way to go as 18 countries in the Arab League and the Palestinians need to get on board

I have no idea what you are referring to. There are no inaccuracies in the 1st sentence nor anything that is controversial.
