This sure does help to explain why so many GOP large donors
have stayed away from the Trump campaign up until this time.

The Donald has too much courage for the guys who are doing so well
under the seriously flawed system that is geared toward breaking
unions and forcing the poor to work like heck and complain little
    about poor conditions.

Trump Calls For Auditing the Fed

GOP frontrunner makes good on promise to call for audit of Fed

If Bernie.... would go after the Federal Reserve like the Donald is doing.......
he might just turn around the Democratic National Convention...... and flip many of Hillary's supporters.

IF.... Bernie were to give The Donald....
some credit for his position on at least this one issue.....

that could be the key that turns the DNC over to him at the last moment............

Can Bernie support FLIP the DNC?

Bernie Sanders said he would support Hillary Clinton if she was nominated. I should think that would turn off all the Bernie Sanders supporters right there.

I saw much of Bernie's interview with Wolf Blitzer a few days ago......

I was hearing the words of a man who deeply understand that the word "support" can be
    understood in many different ways..........

Bernie was wise indeed to not come right out and state that he could well see the Democratic Party
move en masse... .to get rid of Hillary at the last moment........
.. but I got the impression that Bernie is well aware of that possibility.

The horrific events in Dallas this morning have made The Donald
much more electable..... and any objective Dem knows this to be true.

Those same events have made a Hillary Clinton Presidency look kind of scary.

We don't need another eight years of political correctness.... that just doesn't work.

True..... but at least he does deserve credit for pressuring her into
putting forward a more progressive platform than if he had not
kept up the heat on her.

    Well this is certainly interesting!

I had kind of hoped that The Donald would go with Governor Christie.

Things you should know about Donald Trump’s V.P. pick
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is a social conservative who hasn't always agreed with Donald Trump's positions.

    .......
But it is a good sign that he has a V. P. who disagrees with him on many issues which will help him to look at
both sides to the issues that he wants to address.

Perhaps Christie would be a good choice for a position related to the Environment?????

A tax on carbon will take centuries to address the real issues associated with the impending collapse of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet!

That right there is proof that Sanders is part of the corrupt one party system disguised as two and part of the establishment same as Obama, the Clintons and Bushs. I also see in your link where sanders voted against rand pauls bill to audit the fed.positive proof right there he same as clinton,is there to serve the bankers and not the people.

    - - - Updated - - -

yeah great to see there are a lot of posters here awake that we will remain the dictatership country we have been under both Bush and Obama if Clinton gets elected, that trump is our only hope to change that. great that they understand he is the only candidate not part of the new world order establishment.

What flaws? Sure one can debate interest rate increases every single time they get together but other than that, what is flawed about the Fed? One can also question the economic philosophy of the Chairman much as I did under Greenspan but other than turn the Fed into a political body, what exactly is everyone so up in arms about in regards to the Fed?

Perhaps a full audit of the Federal Reserve that they have done an even better job than we tend to imagine but......

we sure seem to be living in a time period when we need to be clear and open about where the world economy needs to
    be directed.

Perhaps but looking to the Fed for a remedy by auditing them sounds like the first steps towards dismantling the Fed entirely. I have one suggestion, fully fund the SEC and start going after fraud. We can start by actually defining fraud to cover financial instruments that rely upon complex mathematical equations to sell securities whose only purpose in life is to skim money off existing legitimate financial transactions. When bankers and brokers start going to jail then we will have begun the cleaning of the stables.

A lot can be learned about how to improve the USA Federal Reserve System by the
extremely successful experiment began in 1940 by Canada's P. M. Mackenzie King.

His system was abandoned in 1974 by P. M. Pierre E. Trudeau.

Here is a summary by the late Jack Layton about this.

    I have to admit.......
that The Donald and his team could turn this
call for the auditing of the Federal Reserve......

into a significant number of Black and Hispanic votes.......

    I hope he does.After he's elected president.
Really the Treasury should be who is printing money. It's my theory that that's what got JFK killed.
Kennedy started Having the Treasury start printing some low-denomination bills.
You know, the Founding Fathers really laid out a great system of government. It's too bad that it's been corrupted.
If we were to follow the original plans these days,it would be fantastic!

Up here in Canada in the year 1940 P. M. Mackenzie King initiated what I consider to have been
    a brilliant central banking policy.

He began to use the Bank of Canada, that in theory is owned by all 35 million of us Canadians, to
put about half of the total money supply of Canada into the economy through loans at zero or at most
one percent interest, for infrastructure projects that the vast majority of Canadians would agree were
    necessary.

Canada went on a binge of building roads, schools and hospitals........ and it costed the Canadian taxpayer
very little in interest to get this done.

We messed that excellent system up back in 1974. At this time each percentage point rise in the prime rate
is estimated to cost Canadian taxpayers about THIRTY BILLION DOLLARS in interest.

I personally strongly suspect that P. M. Mackenzie King learned about this idea from your President Lincoln
    and his Greenback Monetary Experiment.

President Lincoln's advisors got the idea from the central banking policies of the 13 states
from before the time of the American Revolution.

Auditing the Federal Reserve really helps out Trump. So I would assume that he would be in favor of doing so.

That being said, while the Federal Reserve seriously needs an overhaul, I'm not sure they really need only an audit. What we need is to transfer the Federal Reserve to different management. Ideally, the only people who I would trust with the Federal Reserve are US military officials. Because they have honor and integrity. And they can be severely punished if they do a bad job. This is why we need a secret police force too. It's not just for the people, but the government as well. An independent secret police force operating as a department of the CIA can make claims against the government and citizens. And, like I stated in a different thread, instead of it being a done deal, we make a it a court case. Secret Police v Federal Reserve. The secret police force finds evidence that the Federal Reserve is mismanaging our money or using it without authorization, and so they get in trouble if proof can be submitted to a judge and the judge rules in favor. This way, we prevent a tyranny of the government over the people, but also the people over the government.

I see this thread has attracted a lot of right wing conspiracy theorists, so this is my last word here, but to sum up my point, I think we should, instead of just audit the Federal Reserve, switch it over to the US military, and keep a secret police force inside the ranks to make sure nothing goes wrong. Also, nothing should be done on paper. Because paper can easily be destroyed. Everything must be done on a secure military style computer that requires key authorization by 5 people and an immediate report is sent to the CIA for inspection.

One of the errors that I feel that Mr. Donald Trump made during the debate is that he
    made fun of climate change.

Climate change isn't funny....... so I am hoping that when Mr. Trump becomes President he finds
some advisors who are more well informed on this issue than so many leaders in the G. O. P. tend to be.
