Thanks Trump for killing another Climate change scam committee. I wonder how many more useless programs Obama started are left. My goodness. If any money was distributed to this committee it should be transferred to the Solar Wall fund, make the Libs happy and get the wall built. I bet Obama's steaming mad over this.

The Trump administration just disbanded a federal advisory committee on climate change
The Trump administration has decided to disband the federal advisory panel for the National Climate Assessment, a group aimed at helping policymakers and private-sector officials incorporate the government’s climate analysis into long-term planning.

I guess it was better than waiting for the committee to realize what a disaster Trump is and bail on him, like his Economic Council did. I'll bet he was steaming mad when they humiliated him last week.

It;s no humiliation when it highlights the gutless wonders much of our corporate leadership has become.

Usually there are nice stipends attached to menbership on such "committees", so Trump is also saving us a few dollars.

So-called 'climate change' is a leftist lie from many.
The purpose: to accelerate degradation of the western industry and to move it to China, Vietnam & Co

Link doesn't go anywhere. But I'm curious what this committee did because according to the left it's still hot outside.

They humiliated themselves by bowing to PC fascism over and above the economic interests of the country.

I'm sure they were able to siphon off a lot of grant money for themselves, schilling for the pseudo-science of a far-left political agenda.

And do you know how far behind they are? Their pollution levels are like ours back in the 80s or earlier. Besides LA, we're great. China is like the fracking 3rd world.

And Trump is trying to bring us back to the days of acid rain and smog alerts.

Why is the right-wing so desperate to turn the US into a 3rd world nation?

    So dramatic, and paranoid.

    From the linked article:
The committee was established in 2015, but its members were not appointed until last summer. They convened their first meeting in the fall. Moss said members of the group intend to keep working on their report, which is due out next spring, even though it now will lack the official imprimatur of the federal government. “It won’t have the same weight as if we were issuing it as a federal advisory committee,” he said.

    A) the committee has only existed for two years, and didn't even have their first meeting until less than a year ago.
    B) they're still going to keep working on their report although now presumably the government doesn't have to pay them to do so.

It sounds like all we've done is get rid of a new committee, which plans to continue doing its work anyways. So why exactly is the sky falling again?

I realize the partisanship here is out of control, but it would really make for a healthier political environment and more productive discussions if people would actually read these articles and attempt to comprehend the information without so much bias. I really can't see anything catastrophic about disbanding this committee. This sounds like a fairly textbook example of a "nothingburger".

You think our air will get worse? How's that? More electric cars and more solar homes
will hurt us how exactly? Exporting coal and oil to other countries is kind of a good thing for us you know. It's not like we're not still researching.

    Snow in September

Global warming hit Great Britain hard this weekend as temperatures dipped to 26 degrees last night, and snow is in the forecast. Some people had frost on their lawns this morning.

"Things are set to get colder soon -- with Sunday likely to see even lower temperatures. Wet snow or sleet is also expected in some places, making the warm summer weather feel like a thing of the past," the Daily Mail reported.

The long-term forecast is not encouraging.

The Sun reported, "Plunging temperatures will increase as the weekend progresses, before rebounding midweek for a last gasp of summery weather. Brits should make the most of it, with an El Niño system in the Pacific set to spark months of snow and ice storms in Britain."

Just three years ago, the Independent told its readers, "Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past."

    No climatologist disagreed.

    Global warmers own that forecast.

Once again, Mother Nature looks at the forecasts of Doomsday Climatologists and laughs and laughs.

Meanwhile the rest of the Earth is experience temperatures that are well above average. And the Arctic is experiencing a 4+ sigma warming event that will span well into next week.

Umm...yes they did. That's not even remotely close to a prediction that is credible and represents the scientific consensus.

No they don't. If you disagree then it should be a simple task to find it in the IPCC AR5 report. What is the page number? I'll be sure to look it up.

They're not well above average. People should stop lying about things like that.

If average global temperatures should increase another 7.8°F, that is perfectly normal, because that's what happens during an Inter-Glacial Period.

If average global temperatures should increase another 15.3°F, that is perfectly normal, too, because that's what happens during an Inter-Glacial Period, and specifically, that is how high average global temperatures were during the previous Inter-Glacial Period.

Of the previous eight Inter-Glacial Periods on record, average global temperatures fell between 7.8°F and 15.3°F warmer than present, except in one instance, and that Inter-Glacial Period abruptly ended after only 8,000 years for reasons scientists cannot explain.

Your misguided belief that average global temperatures should not increase higher than they currently are not supported by facts or science.

When was the last time it was 7.8F and 15.3F higher than it is today? When was the last time it warmed at a rate of 0.2C/decade and sustained that rate for multiple decades during an interglacial period?

I have never said that. In fact, I fully embrace the idea that the global mean surface temperature changes. I have no choice because, like you said, the abundance of evidence quite clearly demonstrates this. Just like I have no choice but to embrace the idea that the Earth is warming today and that it is caused by the net effect of all forcing mechanism of which CO2 is a huge contributor. And keep in mind that all change happens for reason. Heat does not spontaneously appear and disappear. And we can explain the warming today by considering all forcing mechanisms and their magnitudes match (within a reasonable error) of what is required to produce the amount of warming observed in the geosphere.

Every single Inter-Glacial Period of the last recorded eight Inter-Glacial Periods except for one, and in that one, it ended abruptly after 8,000 years for reasons scientists do not understand.

During the last Inter-Glacial Period, it was 15.3°F warmer than it is now.

Temperature fluctuations of 20°F within a matter of decades are perfectly normal. The fact that scientists do not understand why is irrelevant.

    http://www.clim-past.net/12/1933/2016/

8.5°C corresponds to 15.3°F warmer than it is now.

7.5°C corresponds to 13.5°F warmer than it is now.

Temperatures fluctuate wildly on Earth for reasons that are simply not understood.

One of the more recent intriguing findings is the remarkable speed of these changes. Within the incredibly short time span (by geologic standards) of only a few decades or even a few years, global temperatures have fluctuated by as much as 15°F (8°C) or more.

For example, as Earth was emerging out of the last glacial cycle, the warming trend was interrupted 12,800 years ago when temperatures dropped dramatically in only several decades. A mere 1,300 years later, temperatures locally spiked as much as 20°F (11°C) within just several years. Sudden changes like this occurred at least 24 times during the past 100,000 years. In a relative sense, we are in a time of unusually stable temperatures today—how long will it last?

Why do you think the left wants to accelerate degradation of the western industry and to move it to China, Vietnam & Co? Do you have an explanation for that? Otherwise your theory is pretty weak.
