Every president has had their issues with the press, but Trump, even in his book, "The Art of the Deal" has called the press "the enemy of the people." That is not legitimate criticism of the press, it is an attempt to make the press agreeable to him and his policies, never criticizing or questioning his actions.

Once again, I say, if you can't take criticism you shouldn't go into politics. Trump was under the impression - because of his rallies and public praising - that he wouldn't get criticized. And when he did, he lost it. He threw temper tantrums on Twitter and made an ass of himself with pseudo press conferences. At the very least, a POTUS should act with some respect and decorum - but he couldn't.

It falsely alleged that Trump fixer Michael Cohen met with Russians in Prague to plot collusion. And it falsely alleged that Russian intelligence had a so-called "pee tape," a video of private citizen Trump watching prostitutes perform a "golden showers" sex act in a Moscow hotel room in 2013.

Obama's top aides thought the Steele dossier was so important that it should be brought to the president's attention. Here is an excerpt from Russian Roulette, in which journalists Michael Isikoff and David Corn described an Oval Office meeting in January 2017:

[National security adviser Susan] Rice had encouraged [Director of National Intelligence James] Clapper during the daily intelligence briefing to tell Obama about the "golden showers" allegation. There was never any doubt in the mainstream media that every word of it was true, and so they broadcast it and re-broadcast it to the point where anyone who doubted was deemed retarded, a fascist enabler, or worse. These "reporters" are still celebrated as heroes in DC and among the liberal commentariat.

The media is in the business of getting people's attention and skewing their information however the people that pay them tell them do it. That's why there are so many media outlets. They all have their own agenda. I don't believe it's fair to claim one side is less honest than the other simply because you agree with them.

I was not paying attention politics at the time all this happened. From what I've learned since I started back paying attention, I have no doubts this is not false information. My reason is simple: Leopards don't change spots.

I agree that it's bizarre for that to be mentioned to then-POTUS Obama. Again, I don't believe Trump is telling the truth and the hoopla obviously didn't matter because he was elected.

Of course not. I am just trying to show that every Trump story from the MSM that turns out to be wrong is anti-Trump. It's never the other way around. And they never apologize when they get one wrong, as they (the media) used to. This is why I recommend turning off cable and network news and reading good print media, like the Wall Street Journal or the Christian Science Monitor.
