Just like Trump. "I know you are, but what am I?" Plus "I'm rubber, you're glue. Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you."

Trump is a child, in my opinion. He's used those tactics his whole life, pointing fingers when under fire for his misdeeds.

He said, and I quote, "phony emoluments clause." And those claims aren't phony. Boosting the profits of his failing resort by having a prestigious event there is most certainly a violation of that clause. That type of corruption, and his other violations of the emoluments clause, are exactly why the founders included it in the Constitution.

He literally used the phrase: "phony Emoluments clause".

Can't see how that would boost profits when he said he would do it for free or at cost.

    Advertising for a start

This is a facility haemorrhaging money and which has had multiple health violations as well as settling a bed bug case

Angela is leader and she would have found some way to tell Trump to stuff it, politely, but he would know the intent

Once again, we don't have any idea what Bonespurs was planning to do, and "profit" is not an element of an emoluments violation--if he was just paying himself to cover overhead instead of incurring a loss during the freaking offseason in Florida, he would've been benefiting from having the G7 at Duhral.

You believe that? "At cost" would include improvements like fumigating for bedbugs, all new beds, carpets, paint, at least one new helicopter pad, and who know what all he'd come up with. We the taxpayers would have to foot that bill. And how would anyone even make sure he kept it "at cost" in the first place? He's been running hotels and resorts for decades. I think he knows just how to cheat people, he's been doing that all his life.

The Doral has been losing money. This whole idea of having the G7 there was for his benefit, period. It would be costly for us, and it would look bad to the world. June is hot and muggy and buggy in the Miami area, and the Doral is inland, nowhere near the beaches or anything pretty. It's under the airport flight path. There are reasons why they refused to tell us what other properties had been considered.

Camp David has been good enough for every past president. It's big, lots of "cabins" that are really more like large, luxurious homes, it's in the woods and the weather is great in June. Past presidents have used it for many international summits and a lot of treaty signings, and attendees have always been favorably impressed. We the people already maintain it, there is a military base next door so security is not an issue, there are beautiful grounds, furnishings, amenities, and it's quiet.
