There is speculation that not only was Steele highly credible, he may also have given them information he had not previously exposed.

The rumor I heard was that Steele made them a copy of the PP tape and added some juicy details. So now the IG wants them to reopen the Trump probe. :)

Ohr had been our top investigator of Russian Mobsters for years before Trump ever thought of running for President. When members of Trumps inner circle were seen to be involved with some of these crooks Ohr did what any loyal American in his position would do. Same with Strzok who was our top counterespionage agent for over a decade. Any problems that Trump has encountered in this regard are his own fault for associating with and hiring a bunch of sleazebags. All of this Deep State, soft coup crap is tinfoil nonsense churned out by Russian troll farms and their lackeys on AM radio and Fox News.

So you think it was all contrived now. Then why were they all fired or forced out?

"His interactions with Ohr and his wife for instance, "
His....Steele's, what are you missing here?

"who do you think he is afraid of throwing him under the bus"
    You = you
    He = Steele

    "and why he came forward?"

He agreed to be interviewed, why at the last minute?

Because there wasn't any obstruction. Pushing back against what we now know was a false narrative isn't obstruction.

The same guy behind the IRS scandal. There is absolutely no way this travesty could have been launched without Obama knowing. Dems blame the GOP for voter suppression, yet this was essentially an effort to disenfranchise 63,000,000 people who voted for Trump.

Typical LW tactics, lie about someone, then when the victim resists the lies, say they must be hiding something.

Obviously for political reasons. Especially in McCabes case.

What made it obvious for political reasons? I believe the IG reports had LOTS to do with it.

    CNN
"The origin of his dramatic fall stems from an internal review conducted by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz. That report -- the details of which have not been publicly released -- is said to conclude that McCabe misled investigators about his role in directing other officials at the FBI to speak to The Wall Street Journal about his involvement in a public corruption investigation into the Clinton Foundation, according to a source briefed on it.
CNN reported on Wednesday that the findings in Horowitz's report on McCabe were referred to the FBI's Office of Professional Responsibility, staffed with career officials, who recommended McCabe's termination."

    Where's the political part?

I believe the one in the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility who recommended McCabe be fired was an Obama appointee.

That's now for Congress to decide.... and they are leaning no, for whatever reason..

We'll see if Mueller changes any minds next week...

Just curious, does the LW see any danger for them in Mueller being grilled by the GOP?

No it's not for Congress to decide if a crime was committed. That purely political body is the last group you would want doing that. The DOJ makes that determination and in this case they found no crime was committed. And if Mueller "changes his mind" then a full investigation into his office and the last two years will be warranted.

    Still beating that drum?

That the Russians interfered in the 2016 election for the benefit of Donald Trump is an opinion shared by all of them, by all of the world’s major intelligence agencies, documented in the Mueller Report (right down to the names of the officers who ran the operation).

But if you want to go on whining about a two and a half year old claim, that turned out to be true, go right ahead!

LOL, not fond of facts are you? Glad you at least admit it turned out to be true.

Wow.... I'm here and you are way over............................................................................................................ here

    Focus, dude!

Nobody has ever said it's on Congress to decided if a crime was committed... it's on Congress to decide if what Mueller documented is impeachable.... the only group in the country capable of such.

I won't even touch Mueller "changes his mind" since it's nowhere near what I wrote..

Deemed credible by who? The FBI had stopped dealing with him because he lacked credibility.

The narrative is very well documented.

And it does not matter whether it was true or not. Your underlying crime meme was discredited out of the gate, months ago.

The Mueller Report, which I am sure you have never even seen, must less read.

Get a copy. Drop it on the table so that it opens to a random page, and start reading. You can do that a hundred times, nad you will come across something new, amazing, and disgusting every single time.

It is a chronicle of stupidity, perfidious, moral treason, flagrant corruption and opportunism, and serial obstruction (which is ongoing). All documented in excruciating detail.

Yes no OOJ no collusion. And there was no underlying crime and that has not been discredited and not my meme whatever that is, just the facts. And Congress is not our criminal investigative body, it is not there job to conduct criminal investigations just to see if someone committed a crime.

How many freaking times are you going to make that ridiculous claim? That's not the law, never has been the law, and there's no reason to believe that it ever will be the law.
