A senior Justice Department official demoted last week for concealing his meetings with the men behind the anti-Trump “dossier” had even closer ties to Fusion GPS, the firm responsible for the incendiary document, than have been disclosed, Fox News has confirmed: The official’s wife worked for Fusion GPS during the 2016 election. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...orked-for-firm-behind-anti-trump-dossier.html

It just keeps getting deeper and deeper. Guess there really is a deep state.

Dirty Mueller is looking dirtier and dirtier:

‘Journalism for rent’: Inside the secretive firm behind the Trump dossier..

“The small firm has been under intense public scrutiny for producing the 35-page document known as the Trump dossier. Senior executives summoned to testify before Congress in October invoked their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, and the firm is resisting a congressional subpoena for bank records that would reveal who has paid for its services.” The records would also reveal what journalists it was paying.

The firm has played an unseen role in stories that dominated headlines in recent years.

In the years before it produced the dossier, records show, Fusion worked to blunt aggressive reporting on the medical-device company Theranos, which was later found to have problems with its novel blood-testing technology. It was also hired to ward off scrutiny of the nutritional supplement company Herbalife, which ultimately paid $200 million to distributors to settle claims by regulators.

In another case, the firm sought to expose what it called “slimy dealings” by a competitor of a San Francisco museum proposed by filmmaker and “Star Wars” director George Lucas. And it dug up information about domestic disputes involving a former mayor of Beverly Hills, Calif., as part of an investigation into a proposed real estate development that the mayor supported. . . .

I call it journalism for rent,” Simpson, 53, said in August of last year at the Double Exposure Investigative Film Festival and Symposium in the District, where he described Fusion’s work on a panel titled, “Investigations With an Agenda.” . . .

Fusion insists that the firm does not engage in public relations work or advertise its media connections to prospective clients. But Fusion executives have interceded with former colleagues in media when their clients came under scrutiny, records and interviews show. . . . He was candid about the money involved. Explaining why he left journalism, he joked: “We don’t use the word ‘sold out.’ We use the word ‘cashed in.’ ”

I’m sure there’s nothing slimy going on here at all.

    Big money in slime!

That dossier was used to get the FISA warrant, and everyone with any common sense know it. These relationships surrounding it make it even more obvious.

They are turning the US into a banana republic.

Thanks for your input. IMO I believe this dossier incident is what will be a big part of helping clear out the "deep state". It is hard for some of us to swallow the pap some of the talking heads, from various Justice departments, are putting out about what honorable institutions they are. I use to think they were beyond reproach. Not anymore, very disappointing.

Steele himself has claimed to be the go between in pedaling the dossier to McCain and the media. Obviously to affect the election.

And not in Trumps favor. The collusion between the DNC, FBI, Attorney Generals Office, McCain and the establishment and the media was in full force. Disgusting.

I do too. A couple of things jump out at me:
    1) The FBI has been out of control since its inception, and I'm talking the real FBI, not the ideal FBI that exists in our mind. The Real FBI has often operated as a corrupt secret police, controlling even Presidents.
    2) Schumer's warning illustrates that just as everyone knew that all these sexual freaks were preying on their underlings in the Media, Congress and Hollywood, so, it's an open secret that our federal police, spying agencies and prosecutors are corrupt and out of control.
    3) The Fake News Media does not report, they are the propaganda horn for the Democrats and the Deep State.
    4) This Dossier illustrates just how disconnected from reality they are. They faked it up, based on Kremlin disinformation, gathered by a former spy, compiled by Fusion GPS a company that digs up dirt and compiles disinformation as their work product. Give them instructions of what dirty case you want faked up, and they will compile it, package it up and deliver it by its due date. Both Political Parties use these guys, individuals within them do, as does the FBI, who it appears, then used the faked up intelligence documents as a pretext to mislead a FISA court into granting permission to spy on a rival political campaign, a President Elect and even the Sworn President of The United States!
    5) The only reason this is coming out is because in their insularity, they badly misjudged the outcome of the election. In the context in which this occurred and the future they imagined they would keep it concealed, was a future in which Hillary Clinton was President of the United States.
    6) There is a massive cover up in progress. It's not a very effective one, these guys are throwing blankets over rotting dead bodies to hide the stench, so to speak, and it's not working very well, they were caught completely unprepared.
    7) Thank goodness Trump won the election!

Hahah there's not enough tin foil in the world.

It won't be long until Mueller himself is facing charges and under investigation.

So why doesn't trump demand the warrant be released? What's he hiding?

Congress IS. Isn't that enough? Contempt of Congress is right around the corner. Perhaps the DOJ and FBI need time to fabricate or heavily redact the guilty actors in this ruse.

Congress has been asking for it. Did you watch the hearings with FBI director last week?

What? Are you baiting Trump into firing Wray and Sessions like he did Comey? You can't have this both ways. Lawd, have mercy! :roflol:

Firing Yates was obstruction ... Baharara, obstruction ... Comey, you guessed it, obstruction. :roflol: See, liberals like retorting "Clinton isn't in office ... why bother". :confuse: Most would rather see them all fired, instead of being called to testify. Wray might be digging himself a hole, and Sessions can relieve the pressure he faces by appointing SC. Liberals are becoming increasingly erratic as more comes to light.

If they're going to defy congress and the president? Why wouldn't you want him to fire them over that?

Bingo, this is definitely the reason the deep state Repubs and Corruptocrats are looking for hiding places. "Hillary in a landslide" main repercussion is hopefully the landslide will end up burying her and the deep state. Sessions do your freaking job!

I don't know, McSnoozy Sessions, I'm not sure he is up to the job. Some theorize that blackmail is rampant in DC.

Firing Yates was because of insubordination. A lawyer who refused to represent her client, whether that client is the US Government or if it's a normal jock, would have any normal defendant look for a new lawyer. She should have her license revoked. But the good karma is that no one will look to her to prosecute or defend a case on their behalf. As soon as it gets tough, she'll bail.

I don't have any negativity against her beyond her insubordination. It's just more likely she'll look for a new career. As soon as her name appears on a law firm, I'd be like "thanks, but I'd rather represent myself as Counsel."
