Do any Trumpers think that Don McGhan acted in a way that merits this retaliation? In my opinion this is just Trump throwing a tantrum because Don McGhan did his job.

No link to article. Must be an embarrassing source like Vox or CNN.

President Trump operates a revolving door policy for administration staff in order to run his Presidency the way he wants. He knows his time is short, he knows his enemies are everywhere, and he knows how to deal with it. The talking heads will always interpret this as chaos but Pres Trump clearly doesn't give a damn about the opinions of angry hack "journalists". You might see it as a tantrum, I see it as a guy getting **** done. Any other President would have drown under the trillion dollar efforts of this coup. President Trump has thrived and so has the country and its all thanks to his style, his dedication, and his love for America. So if he wants to fire somebody because he doesn't like their job performance then I say bravo - government is full of slackers that need to see a pink slip.

How did his firing obstruct the investigation?

What could Mueller not find out because this guy was fired again?

Trump is a p*ssy.... whatever happens with McGahn or Impeachment or the 2020 election, that will be his only long term legacy...

Put it right there on his Wiki page....

P*ssy.... ironic that's the word he got voted in on....

On topic, McGahn will come out of this perfectly OK, on a similar path to another WH Counsel that helped bring an administration to it's knees (without the jail time).

Ah found a link...to a blog. I am not much on blogger's spin. There could be a host of reason to release Jones Day....it's a massive law firm.

In fact, he did the job that he was 'permitted' to do. Trump allowed for McGhan to speak to the Special Counsel - which negated his testimony from being protected under Executive Privilege, and paves the way for him to speak to congress freely.

The hysterical narcissist's petty, vindictive fatwa against McGahn only serves to further confirm his obstructing justice.

He’s worked for jones day for awhile, it’s not as if the president wasn’t aware of what white counsel told the special counsel...he allowed it

Well, that leaves us with 1 of 2 possibilities

He didn't know the specifics of what McGahn was telling Mueller or he's too dense to realize the significance...

Which do you prefer?? I know where I'd put my money...

It was insignificant. He had no intent to obstruct.

Major difference is that Dean was first involved directly with covering-up Watergate on orders of Nixon and then flipped. In this case, Trump never order anyone to cover up anything about a conspiracy with Russia, because there was none, and in fact allowed the White House Counsel to testify and cooperate with the investigation while still working at the White House. The President never tried to stonewall or call for Executie Priv.

If what you meant by the second option was that it was insignifiant then yes.

Mueller’s report says there is substantial evidence of such intent.

Where did he say that? From my reading of it, he said he couldn't establish that.

I will give you the exact quote when I get home from work. He literally says there is “substantial” evidence of intent.
