"President Donald Trump’s charitable foundation has agreed to shut down as part of the New York state attorney general’s ongoing lawsuit against the Trump Foundation.

That lawsuit, which New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood filed in June, alleges that the Trump Foundation engaged in a “shocking pattern of illegality,” with the president using his charitable organization “as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr. Trump’s business and political interests.”

    ..............................................................................................................................
The most shocking aspect of the suit is..........it isn't shocking. This kind of corruption is exactly what we've come to expect from the Grifter-in-Chief and his family.

Another example of despicable, criminal behavior.

Pointing out these examples of corruption are typically what get labeled as TDS. In truth, it just seems like it's a syndrome because there are so many examples. A few each day. No one, ever, has seen anything like this. The corruption is simply astonishing.

They read the statement from the Trump Foundation's lawyers. It was laugh out loud hilarious.

You've got to hand it to these guys. They're basically a bunch of low rent schmucks. It's sort of like watching a combover version of The Sopranos!

And almost as entertaining (were it not for the very very high stakes...….)

Capone was hardly a failure, although he died in prison after 11 years of syphilis eating his brain.

Notice how all the Trumpsters are in deep hiding.

This is a first. Usually, one or two of them show up with some tortured rationalization or empty vitriol.

Perhaps Trump just modeled it after the Clinton Foundation which flew safely for years funded by Mid-East and Russian money until she was swept away in a landslide election loss in 2016.

Be sure to get back to us when any of the unproven allegations about the Clinton Foundation are substantiated. Until then...............chalk up another documented case of fraudulent behavior by the Trump crime family.

Lee, unlike you I do not allow myself to roil in the misery of my election losses. If you check you will find I have started only a handful of threads since joining this forum. I find it more entertaining to respond to those who cannot cope with life events that are dealt to them and feel the compulsive need to denigrate anything and everything their opponent does or has done.
I think you and your cadre of malcontents fail to understand the fact most Trump supporters understand, as a NY developer he was no angel and had a lot of skeletons in his closet but they wanted to upset the norm in DC and Trump has done a magnificent job of doing just that. If a few of the usual suspects are pissed and wind up brushing your therapy animals with too much gusto, so be it. Face reality, sometimes it's tough being a alt-leftie.

Apparently, you don't see the role of POTUS as much of an important one. In the country and in the world. I agree that disrupters are important in politics - it is vital that things get shaken up sometimes. But to settle for a carnival barker to do that job - while being president - doesn't say much about patriotism.

I agree that Trump has "upset the norm" in Washington. Unfortunately, he has made things worse instead of better.

Kind of like the Clinton foundation but the Clintons were more successful with theirs.

It doesn't matter that he's a criminal. He's putting America first and making America great again.

They were not being helped, and Trump can certainly donate to charities that are run to help these people.

That is why there are Republicans and Democrats. I didn't vision Obama as much of a patriot either but I didn't spend every minute of my day complaining about his decisions.

I was commenting upon your statement about being a disrupter, and questioning your patriotism to the country (and not just trump) because you thought it was great that the POTUS is all about disruption.

Always remember, for every buyer there is a seller.
I thought "I want to fundamentally change America" was a disrupter also. Just not the kind I prefer.

He offered to shut it down two years ago, so after two years of investigation and millions of tax payers dollars we got what we could have had two years ago for free. It was a family charity to which no one else ever contributed a dime so exactly what is the shocking illegality?

Why would we want a president (the chief law-enforcement officer in the land) who runs an organization (that even has him name on it) that has a “shocking pattern of illegality”? Have we no self-esteem, or what?
