Is Trump really attacking for not fighting the allegations against him?

This seems a very odd criticism, whereas Franken was accused of piggish behavior, some of which was caught on camera, and resigned.

In one of Trumps ober volks speeches, he seemingly criticized Franker for resigning?

Very, very odd, unless the president it trying to excuse piggish behavior in others.

President Donald Trump mocked former Sen. Al Franken for folding "up like a wet rag" after allegations of sexual misconduct were leveled against him, ridiculing the former lawmaker as Senate Republicans work to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women.

"Boy, did he fold up like a wet rag. Man, man, he was gone so fast," Trump said at a rally Thursday night in Franken's home state of Minnesota. "It was like, 'oh, he did something,' 'oh I resign. I quit.'"

 

Well, thats what he did . Whats the problem?

 

Why is this odd? Franken was an idiot to resign. The picture wasn't anything big and the sexual assault allegations were unproven. I'd fight like help for my job and credibility.

He jolly well may have been guilty of a lot worse and was afraid it would come out.

 

One persons word doesn't constitute evidence enough to take action. If I called the cops and told them my neighbors were running a meth lab, I doubt they go bust the door down.

 

Dems tell us that mere allegations are enough to find someone guilty.

In fact, he didn't actually 'touch' them...it was a photo of him reaching out and making it look that way. Very poor taste.
