There were only a few pressing issues between us & China that desperately needed resolution. Trump could have held meetings to resolve those without disrupting the entire trade agreement. But with Trump, it's always why do something sensible when you can do something extreme & get more media attention?

The whole sentence was sarcasm and a knock on Obama. Don’t blame others if you can’t read people. Like when he says “euuooooooge, big and beautiful wall.” It’s called exaggeration.

I'm not an economist or a trade specialist. It's not one of my interest areas, but I do know that theft of intellectual property is one major issue. Another was the practice of compelling companies to transfer technology to China as a pre-condition for approval of their business license. I'm sure there were others, but Trump didn't have to completely dismantle the existing trade agreement to try & force Chinese compliance with his personal demands.

The thing is, those things have been on going....and we have tried to meet with them in the past, and have had zero success. This was a last ditch effort to get them to the table and talk seriously about a trade agreement

Well, it seems pretty extreme to me; & Americans are being victimized by Trump's single-minded extremism.

It’s not single minded...at least I fail to see how it is.

Americans have been hurt and victimized by Chinese theft and unfair trade practices for decades. It’s time to put a stop to it

Trump will help them with their seriousness issue.

ALLIES: Marines Considering Flying U.S. F-35Bs Off of Japan’s Largest Warships.

They’re considering it because Tokyo asked them to.

THe President has a great relationship with Japan. This is a smart move considering China's increased activity in Hong Kong, and the blind eye the Obama admin took to their military activity in the South China Sea.

Trump is right to confront China, reversing Obama’s policy of weakness and appeasement.

The Trump administration has now set on a course to ensure that whenever Beijing acts like a rogue regime there will be costs.

He was chosen by the states to be President in part because he said he would stand up to China. What's the problem? Hillary believed she was the ordained one.

Comrade Donnie standing up to China.......
Ivanka Trump Wins China Trademarks, Then Her Father Vows to Save ZTE
Donald Trump has more than 100 trademarks in China, including 35 granted pre-approval since he became US president
And of course, Comrade Donnie still loves having his products manufactured by Commie workers in a Communist country rather than the good ole USA USA USA as part of his hate-America-first economic agenda.

Welcome to the Alice-in-Wonderland world of con artists: Fake news is real news and real news is fake news.

Trump says others support his call to add Russia back into the G7
"I think it’s much more appropriate to have Russia in and it should be the G-8,” Trump said, referencing the U.S.-led role in suspending Russia’s involvement with the group.

“So I could certainly see it being the G-8 again,” Trump added, noting that the group frequently discusses issues concerning Russia.

Trump previously said Russia should be reinstated to the group as he departed for last year’s summit, held in Canada.

“Russia should be in this meeting,” Trump told reporters before boarding Marine One for the summit. “They should let Russia come back in, because we should have Russia at the negotiating table.”

Trump is doing a gigantic disservice to America by sowing doubt on the trustworthiness of our free press. Sure, there are reporters & writers out there pushing propaganda with falsehoods, but the vast majority of professional press reporters try their best to stay honest & report the truth. Our founding fathers knew a free press was essential to a free country & a free people. Trump is eroding that safety net with his doubt & lies. Those who support him need to be more aware of this danger, & less supportive in at least this area.
