    It's this:

"Trump has an actually unprecedented option to overcome the efforts by Democrats to keep the Senate nominally in session during August, however. If the House and Senate disagree on the time of adjournment, the Constitution says that the president may, “adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper.”

That has never happened in American history. "

    http://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/schumer-warns-trump-trying-replace-sessions-recess-appointment

"It makes no sense for Trump to be making this kind of noise about Sessions, unless he actually plans to do something about the AG position. He's trashing a very loyal supporter over doing the right thing legally- for nothing. It's almost like Trump didn't realize that Mueller could get to Trump's finances and is lashing out at Sessions because of it. I'm not a Sessions fan and think he shouldn't be AG because he perjured himself before the Senate, but he doesn't deserve the treatment he's gotten from Trump."

    Agreed.

I had real respect for Sessions as an illegal alien hawk. That all went away the moment he endorsed The Donald.

You picked a fraud for your horse, Jeff. Buh bye.

I don't know what in the world is up with Jeff Sessions. He flipped out and needlessly recused himself. He shows no interest in shutting down the leak storm. He has no interest in prosecuting the things that Obama's Justice department refused to look at, and his big issue now is expanding asset forfeiture? Do you know that under Obama, the Feds took more property from Americans without convictions, or even charges than burglars did? Incredible, and Jeff Sessions looks at that says, "I want more of that!" I don't know what page he is on, or what book he is reading but clearly he is on his own quest for God only knows what. And now this!

Department of Justice Lawyers Still Suing Little Sisters of the Poor and Other Religiously-Oriented Organizations Over Obamacare Birth Control/Abortion Mandate!

Message to Trump: This must end. End it.

DOJ lawyers have continued to keep alive a slew of cases appealing a 2014 district court ruling that granted an injunction from the mandate to several Catholic organizations. The Supreme Court vacated an appeals court ruling against The Little Sisters of the Poor and similar organizations in 2016, sending the cases back to the lower courts. Many religious freedom advocates expected that the Trump administration, which has vowed to protect The Little Sisters and other organizations burdened by the contraceptive mandate, would drop the legal campaign against the religious organizations. But more than six months into the Trump era, the legal fights are still alive.

Although Trump signed an executive order directing the DOJ to consider and propose an alternate rule which would insulate religiously-oriented organizations from compliance with the birth control/abortion mandate in Obamacare, no such rule has actually been published, so the situation remains as it was.

This seems like a possible firing offense!

Nonsense. Mueller’s Russia Probe Is A Political Hit Job: Either Rein Him In, Or Fire Him.

Trump has made multiple statements - publicly - over the last several days about Sessions. You want to know who leaked this particular conversation or these particular considerations?

    Trump.

Thank you for that! Very interesting. Call me crazy, but that seems to violate the separation of powers for the President to be able to settle the timing of Congressional recesses. It makes sense that it hasn't ever been used before. You've given me something to digest. :)

Seems to me that Sessions has taken lots of embarrassing verbal abuse from Trump and hasn't resigned yet, so I don't see him resigning unless he's forced to resign. I can see him being investigated and made to resign for perjury to the Senate, since new information was leaked. That may be the point of the leak. I believe the leak came from the White House simply due to the ham-handed way it was done.

I agree that the whole purpose of this disrespectful public humiliation of Sessions is Trump's anger over Mueller, specifically over Mueller looking into Trump and company's finances.

Trump has a proven habit of "floating" a possible action out on twitter and verbally to see how his base will react to the "floated" idea. If the downside is minimal he might act on it. He has done this many times already. His people gauge the bases' response before he takes a stand.

I think all this Session crap is just that, crap. It's a get off your ass move to start investigations on illegal leaks, corrupt Dems and the like. I don't like the public part of it but I understand the reasons.

Trump said in November that he didn't want the Clintons investigated-- http://nation.foxnews.com/2016/11/1...nvestigate-clinton-special-prosecutor-repeats It's insanse that he would now criticize Sessions for not going after Hillary. Trump is showing a complete lack of loyalty to his appointees.

Trump hasn't done anything impeachable yet. If he forces the AG (or his assistants) to fire Mueller, he will.

My how things have changed, after the election we find out about Hillary's collusion with the Ukrainians, Lynch, Comey and other 'iregularities', we find out Debbie Blabbermouth is less than honorable and on and on.

I'm a Republican. I agree Hilllary should be investigated (but Trump didn't in late November--the Clintons are good people according to Trump). I also agree the DNC stuff should be investigated. However, that takes nothing away from my belief that if Trump orders Mueller to be fired, Trump should be impeached for trying to obstruct justice. Right is right.

As I explained before, there are many more 'issues' Clinton related for the President to change his mind. As for the Mueller thing his hires are questionable at the very least, come on now, a lawyer that defended the Clinton foundation with thousands in contributions? Just seems the playing field isn't level. Also, Andrew McCabe who's wife received 700k for an election campaign from Hillary appointed Mueller, fishy to you?
