Trump says and does things designed strictly for his base. Because of the tremendous adulation he gets from members of his base, he has no concern for the other 75% of the American people or to broaden his base. Unfortunately for him, his consistent lying and exaggeration of his accomplishments has even members of base scratching their heads in bewilderment.

This week serves as a good example. It began with the summit in Singapore. Trump handed Kim a key diplomatic victory, along with a propaganda bonanza for North Korea, China, and Russia. He promised Kim security then trashed the military exercises with South Korea. Xi of China is jumping with glee with that one. Kim gave him nothing but a promise. The Kim's excel in making promises they have no intention of keeping. Trump got played ... big time.

Despite the fact that Kim retained his hydrogen bombs and ICBM's, Trump declared, "Just landed - a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea." That one had everyone scratching their heads.

Later that day he declared that America's free press was our number one enemy. "Our Country’s biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!"

Today, Trump held another one of his press conferences on the front lawn. The immediate takeaway from this free-for-all was that reporters no longer respect Trump. This was evident by their shouting, attempts to drown him out, and multiple interruptions of comments.

(CROSSTALK) TRUMP: What you'll really -- excuse me, wait, wait, wait. More (CROSSTALK) QUESTION: How can you say the threat is over. Is it over? TRUMP: Quiet, quiet, quiet.

    And on it went.

At one point, Trump said, "Hey, he is the head of a country and I mean he is the strong head. Don't let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same."

More (CROSSTALK) then TRUMP: Now, with all of that being said, I won Wisconsin, I won Michigan, I won states that, you know, a Republican hasn't won in many, many decades, years. She didn't do a good job, and you never gave me credit for doing a great job. But the fact is, I did a great job."

More (CROSSTALK) then Trump again, "I think that the report yesterday - maybe more importantly than anything - it totally exonerates me. There was no collusion. There was no obstruction. And if you read the report, you’ll see that. What you’ll really see – is you’ll see bias against me and millions and tens of millions of my followers that is really a disgrace," he said.

The I.G. report had absolutely nothing to do with the Mueller investigation, collusion or obstruction. It concerned the FBI's handling of the Clinton investigation, the arrogance of Comey, and the incredibly moronic texts of a lovesick agent to his girlfriend.

Comey appeared in a news conference in July 2016 and said Clinton was "extremely careless" about her emails. This was bias against the Trump campaign? Comey re-opened the investigation of the Clinton emails in October 2016, eleven days before the election. Clinton's huge lead in the polls evaporated, eventually losing the election. This was bias against the Trump campaign?

“And I have to give the FBI credit. That was so bad what happened originally. And it took guts for Director Comey to make the move that he made in light of the kind of opposition he had where they’re trying to protect her from criminal prosecution. You know that. It took a lot of guts.” Trump, Oct. 31, 2016.

The idea that the FBI was attempting to hurt the Trump campaign is simply ludicrous. The FBI investigation of Clinton's emails was well known during the summer and fall of 2016. The FBI was also investigating the Trump campaign team. Very few people knew about that investigation. Comey's actions aided the election of Trump.

Trump does not care anymore. He wants to be impeached. He will be the star in a great spectacle. Far more importantly, Trump cannot be trusted. He has lied and exaggerated so many times, none of his statements mean anything. He is more of a buffoon than a President.

It has gotten so bad, Trump doesn't believe what he says anymore. To him, it is all a big joke.

Ask yourself a question. Do you believe anything this man says? If your answer is "yes," I would like to know why. I'm all ears.

One, there was no deal announced from Singapore so quit commenting on the "deal." Two, I can't tell, are you criticizing Trump for the unprofessional boorish behavior of the press, or the so-called journalists?

Not that he is in the least, but when did incompetence and/or naivety become an impeachable offense in your mind? I mean in reality, not in your Alice in Wonderland world?

Hilary was already under public scrutiny so the FBI was forced to 'deal with it' because the questionable behaviour was obvious. They decided she was innocent even though it was their job to prosecute her and it was the courts job to determine if she was guilty or not. Comey should not have let Loretta Lynch pressure him into this.

With Trump, the FBI started the investigation not because of public pressure but because of internal resistance to his election. The FBI had so little grounds to investigate Trumps campaign in such a manner that one can only assume it was politically motivated.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Do you? I said nothing about a deal. I do know Trump and Kim signed a joint statement. That is where Trump made the concessions in exchange for promises from the communist dictator.

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. I was quite clear. Trump has lied too much. He has exaggerated his accomplishments too much. He relies on endless rhetoric, not actual accomplishments. To everyone not named RodB it was obvious the journalists no longer respected Trump.

I'm curious. Do you? Review the OP. Do you respect what he said?

Seriously I'm surprised he didn't fake a stroke a month in and resign. No Mueller investigation and he would have been off saying what a better job he would be doing than Pence.

Lost opportunity there and I think The Powers That Be want him to suffer. To die under the glaring spotlight with everyone knowing what a sleazy treasonous rat he is.

You made a solid implication (a statement with plausible deniability) that Trump agreed in a deal to let Kim keep his nukes.

Surely you jest. Are you claiming that "journalists" who have hated and despised Trump for almost two years are now starting to lose respect for him? Really?

I have no problem with anything Trump said. Different from the masses that makes mountains out of moleholes and look for flyspecks in the pepper.
I did go back to the OP and thought to point out something else. You said, "Comey appeared in a news conference in July 2016 and said Clinton was "extremely careless" about her emails." By any other name that is a felony crime against the Espionage Act. Comey admitted to Hillary's crimes (as he did in congressional testimony sometime later) and chose not to indict her, which he had no authority to do. If you think that was not a giant help to her candidacy, well then you got another dozen thinks coming.

Why YES! Of course. Missiles are no longer flying over Japan and testing has seized. Little Rocket man was identified and confronted with FIRE and Fury, did you forget?? Now the results are things have extremely calmed down and strong sanctions are in place. Quite a contrast as to the appeasement strategy of previous administrations. Our military is getting re supplied annd our economy is stronger. Tax cuts are producing more, not less, income to our Treasury. TDS is being exposed for what it is......turn from our globalist weakening of America into a Nation that stands tall as it did prior to the 1970"s.

No need to supply lefties, Hillary sichophants, socialists, and liberals, with the long list of Trump's good achievements in the past year and a half because they will always hate Trump and nitpick his neckties, hair, tweets, and complain even when they get a tax cut. Talk about sick, sick, sick.

So? When did being respected by "journalists" be a criteria for being president? Reagan and Bush were widely disrespected by journalists

Journalists have long thought they control the voters and policies of the country. They got a huge smack-down when Trump defeated Hillary. They can't get over it and it shows everyday in their sophomoric actions. Journalist are even more arrogant then politicians. And they have no shame.

    Sure I'll tell you.
He moved the American embassy to Jerusalem, keeping a promise the previous three administrations broke.
    He repealed DACA
He's made our standing with trade tariffs more fair and in doing so pointed out the hypocrisy of those who are taxes us to death but don't want to be taxed.
He hasn't taken any salary, like he said he wouldn't. While his predecessor increased his net worth from a few million to tens of millions during his time in office.
He's turned our economy around to having more jobs than people out of work.
He's well on his way to ending the Korean war. A feat that if Obama had accomplished what Trump has already you folks would be having a 24hr circle jerk about how he's the greatest president and negotiator evar.
    He's slashed unnecessary federal regulations
He put a lifetime ban on senior executive branch officials from ever becoming lobbyists for foreign governments.
He put a conservative on the SCOTUS and when Ginsberg dies or Roberts retires he's going to nominate William Pryor, possibly the most conservative justice since the 1940's.
He's reversing payments to the global climate mafia.
    He's actively rebuilding our military.
And speaking of the military he's on the path to changing them from a social experiment to a fighting force again.
Oh and he's refused to recognize LGBT month and didn't project the gay pride rainbow on the white house.

But the most effective thing he's done was keep that criminal Hillary from stealing the presidential office and is going to shine a light on the cockroaches from the Obama administration.

Trump has done more in 1 year than Obama did in 8.

Don't quite agree. President Trump has done more constructive things in one year than President Obama did in eight.

President Obama did one hell of a lot of destructive things in eight years.

I am pleased that my article convinced you Trump is incompetent and naive.

Good, now that we have that settled, The Framers purposely left the grounds for impeachment vague and indeterminate. What exactly does "high crimes and misdemeaners actually mean? Actually, it means whatever the House (impeaches) and Senate (tries) want it to mean.

It could easily mean a President who is so incompetent, so naive that his policies are dangerous to our national security. Congress could determine that his incompetence renders him unfit to perform his duties as President and should be removed. Certainly, creating a policy that endangers our national security could easily be labeled a high crime.

Removing the U.S. from an agreement with our allies that permanently barred Iran from making a nuke and replacing it with threats and harsh language poses a threat to our national security. Starting a trade war with Canada, Mexico, our EU allies while labeling the Canadian P.M. “dishonest” and “weak” could be construed as a danger to our national security and economy. His trade war with China is already posing a threat to our economy and, ironically, to the farmers that voted for Trump. In retaliation, China is targeting Trump's base. We can add stupidity to Trump's faults.

Can Trump be impeached for being stupid? Well, it's a thought.

Praising Communist dictators such as Kim Jong Un, Putin, and China's Xi combined with the damage he wrought on the relationships we have with our friends and allies is a danger to our national security.

Referring to Kim, Trump said, "Hey, he is the head of a country and I mean he is the strong head. Don't let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same."

I do believe I answered your question. For your part, all you need do is take your blinkers off and look around to see what is happening.

It is interesting that no one is questioning the facts as presented. That is a start.
