And here we see the problem with putting a billionaire in charge who settled a fraud lawsuit for $25 million and had to pay fines for misusing charity funds (the charity in question was eventually shut down, of course).

If hordes of violent criminals were coming here from Mexico, it should be rather easy to prove that with crime statistics.

It is a known fact that Trump likes and dated black women and loves and married a foreign-born woman.

I have pointed that out before. The spin they tried to put on it was absurd. Lets see if they try again.

It doesn't matter what your definition of "hordes" is. There are thousands of illegal aliens in our jails and prisons who have committed every kind of crime while here in the U.S.

I don't dislike people from south of the border because of their language or skin color. I just want the numbers of immigrants to be controlled, I want them to enter legally, I want them vetted, and I want them returned to their home country if they break our laws. That is the same thing Trump wants, and that is not being xenophobic.

This has been tried before :) You forgot to add that only (AT BEST) 60% of Americans vote! So that means slightly less then HALF of the electorate voted for him.. And IMHO the smartest ones ;)

    Nice try Daniel LMFAO :)

I'm sure that's true, and our border policy is a shambles, but I don't think a lot of violent criminals are coming here. Or, if they are, they're not doing a lot of crime once they get here. Crime rates for illegals aren't much different than for people here legally. In the last 20 years or so, at the same time illegal immigration was ramping up, the crime rate dropped tremendously. Crime now isn't even close to what it was in the 80's and 90's. That wouldn't be true if we were importing a bunch of criminals every year.

Look at it this way: suppose you lived in grinding poverty in Mexico and did some violent crimes. And then you went to the trouble of smuggling yourself into this country. You now have a job that pays gazillions more than what you were getting in Mexico, drug cartels aren't running your life, bodies aren't being dumped on the streets, and you're living in a land of unparalleled wealth. Isn't there a tremendous incentive to stay on the straight and narrow?

I agree with you, except for that last part. I think it's abundantly clear that the reason Republicans are so outraged over illegal immigration is, as Tucker Carlson often puts it, "demographic changes". AKA, "the browning of America". AKA the color of their skin.

Tucker doesn't speak for me, so nuff said on that.

As for your first part ...

I understand the allure of moving to the U.S. I also understand that most illegal aliens are not criminals or at least don't commit crimes here. I also realize that we need some of them for certain low-skill, low-wage jobs. I get all that. At the same time, a primary role of government is to protect its citizens, and so the government must fulfill that obligation. Also, we simply cannot accommodate all of the people in the world who would wish to move here. It simply isn't possible. So, that being the case, we must make our borders as secure as humanly possible, and welcome in immigrants who are safe to have here, in numbers that we need and can accommodate. I see nothing xenophobic about this.

Not if they sneak back across the border before being caught. 50% of crimes aren't solved. We have no idea who committed them. Surely some of the unsolved crimes were committed by persons who illegally entered the country.

So then would you say he's the "perfect man"? Because as a woman I don't see these as valuable, or something worth looking forward to in a leader.

I'll agree with all of the bad, and add some, see below

Neutral, He is immune to criticism?? What planet have you been on since 2015?.

Besides his cult very few people love him. I've never met a woman who seems to love him and that includes his wife, though we've never met. Some women I know seem to tolerate him at best and love his politics, but none say they even like the man.

The good. How can you call someone you admit is obnoxious personable?

If he is smart he hides it very well.

You have a radically different idea of patriotic from me.

A tough person would have joined the Army and had them tell him he had bonespurs

A merry person would show up and laugh at the correspondent's dinner, and maybe even have a few bon mots of his own. If you know of a good (but not cruel) joke he has ever made please post or even quote it.

How is he generous? With other peoples's contributions to buy his portrait, maybe.

Why don't you tell Jeff Sessions, Sean Spicer, Steve Bannor or Anthony Scaramucci et al how loyal he is. Admittedly it couldn't happen to nicer guys mostly but Trump is still about the most toxic man I've ever seen as President.

The bad you forgot? He is about the most completely lying DISHONEST man i have yet to see in the job. He lies MUCH more than he tells the truth and he lies even when he doesn't have to. Indeed, he often lies when the truth wouldn't bother him and even when there is no possibility that anyone will believe him since the truth is recorded and plain for all to see. Additionally he is a known and convicted cheat. This fault, his being an obviously pathological liar is the worst I can recall seeing even in a politician. Yes, all pols lie but Trump does it so much that many people honestly can't tell what is true any more at his level.

Finally, the worst of all; He is about the most mean-spirited individual I can recall in ANY national office or even any State or local office for that matter. I've never agreed with any conservative on policy issues but I really admired Ronald Reagan because his many faults aside there was never any doubt that the man was generally a man of good will. Trump is the exact opposite and he is definitely no curmudgeon. He's not a brass-plated sonofabitch, he's not even brass plated.

You must have grown up in whole lot different America than the one I did.

You have just described the vast majority of Trump voters. The left disengeniously "forgets" there is a world of difference between LEGAL and illegal immigrants. Someone will probably be along to allege you are "xenophobic".

    Earth.

He responds to criticism, of course, but he doesn't brood about it. He counter punches and moves on.

What is "the problem"? Mutual funds? Every school teacher is invested in a fund. How much of Trump's money, as a percentage, is invested in any fund that owns this stock? What percentage of the fund does this comprise? Did Trump even know? I certainly don't know every security held by my mutual funds.

Hey, maybe I should be President!

You should have addressed this: "A tough person would have joined the Army and had them tell him he had bonespurs".

You would not tolerate someone like Bill Clinton, who clearly dodged the draft like Trump, hugging the flag.

    Would you?

The problem is Trump is not transparent about his wealth and income. That would horrify the Founders, putting a rich person with unknown foreign financial entanglements in the White House. It should horrify you. It would, if Trump was a Democrat. Trust me on that. Completely. You would be losing your **** about a Democrat not releasing their taxes, skimming from their charity, settling fraud cases for $25 million... Don't try and say otherwise.

About the financial foreign entanglements that we still don't know the extent of (but which include this malaria drug Trump is hyping)...

Good lord, what were you people thinking when you picked Trump? The books that are going to be written about this episode in history....trust me on this too: you're not on the winning side. I think you must realize this now.
