He wobbled over the trade dispute. Time and again he postponed the tariffs and wanted to talk. He literally hopped to talk the Chinese to submission, which is, of course, his wishful thinking. He not only helped ZTE resume business but gave Huawei exemption so that it can continue their purchases of cutting-edge chips.

The effect of his existing tariffs is being offset by the devaluation of China's currency and moving factories out to places like Southeast Asia and India. He could do nothing about it.

To sum up, he has achieved very little in terms of taking on China and curbing the staggering trade deficit. Red China's ambition is to replace Dollars with Yuan as a hegemonic currency and subvert America's leadership. What's at stake now is the world order and survival of western values. A totalitarian regime could prevail against democracies and rule the whole world. America needs a very tough and wise president to match up to this challenge. This is the big picture and the framework for our political thinking.

He doesn't seem to be a real tough or wise president. And he seems unable to do the job he believed himself to be chosen for. You may not believe this, but his KAG 2020 campaign banners are all made in China, quite an irony.

    His presidency will be short.

Trump is a day trader and checkers player. China and Asia are very long term thinkers with 50-100 year timelines. Their long term national goal -- arrest world leadership form America. Trump has been the perfect foil. His hatred of all things Obama motivated him to drop out of the hard won TPP which would have created a Trans Pacific Partnership to check China ambitions in the Pacific Rim. But, hey, it sure felt good. Beside, those trade wars are easy to win.

Same thing with the Paris Climate Accord and the Iranian nuclear deal. Now, Trump is trying to get back in on those deals with "a better deal for the U.S." No interest by the players and no new deal for the great dealmaker. Trump's dreamworld is unraveling a little more every day. Satellite images show North Korea is building a nuclear powered missile carrying sub. "Dear Uncle Donald, enclosed is a picture of my new nuke sub with intermediate range missiles. Hope you like it. Love, Kim.

Dropping TPP may really be a huge strategic mistake. TPP is actually an allied effort to exclude China from the international economic stage.
According to my latest study, he may have already done a great disservice to America.
    I'm past supporting him.

We need a strong ally to counter China. That's why Trump pushed so hard for Russia to be admitted back into the G8.
