https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/20/trump-is-the-unsung-hero-of-the-world-economy---commentary.html The rest of the world is benefiting from Trump's efforts to "make American great again." And they are not even using that additional money to help given that China and Germany reduced their holdings of US debt by $6.2 Billion and $1.1 Billion respectively. And that is unfortunate timing given that the National Debt jumped by $500 Billion in the first six months of the year. And to make it especially clear that Trump's plan is doing the exact opposite of what he promised, the entire range of American inflation indicators — consumer prices, producer prices and personal consumption expenditure gauges — are all picking up in an economy poised to keep advancing at twice the rates allowed by its growth potential.
The stimulus and the constant barrage of propaganda of how it makes the economy boom makes people feel prosperous, despite the economic fundamentals, which haven't changed much. Thus, they are going into more debt to buy stuff they don't need, much of it from China. When have we seen this pattern in the past? Maybe the new motto should be: Make China great again.
shot in the arm economy or a shot in the dark and the debt bomb swallows us all up video time 1:15 something doesnt seem right
Trump trillion-dollar-plus deficits are putting America on a path to fiscal ruin The world's biggest shipping company warns Trump's trade war will hurt America more than anyone else
Well now, that wouldn't seem to be the case, would it? Maybe things look a little better on your side of the tracks with your tax cut crumbs, but in the real world, it's about the same economically (at best), but much worse considering just about any other indicator... Thought those trade wars were just so easy to win... I heard that somewhere...
More doom and gloom from the left. They complain when the economy is doing good or complain if it does poorly. There is actually nothing the economy can be doing that they wouldn't complain about.
Seriously. Can you even be bothered to try and respond to the contents of the OP before launching into some troll of a strawman post?
It became very clear this month that neither the Trump White House nor its allies on Capitol Hill want you to know that the federal budget is already in very bad shape ... and getting worse. It happened when the U.S. Treasury, the official keeper of Washington’s financial results, issued its monthly statement for the first 10 months of fiscal 2018 about federal revenues and spending and, therefore, the budget deficit. Treasury showed what no president ever wants to admit: the deficit is spiking. The federal government’s red ink this year is already 21 percent above what it was in 2017 and there are few prospects that the bottom line will improve anytime soon.
I did respond to it. I said that even with good numbers the left will find something wrong with it. Tell me specifically what you could see that would make you say that Trump is doing a good job.
And here I sit paying the least amount for Milk in years last night. Gas is about the same as its been for months. That "summer boom" didn't raise gas to $5/gal like it was estimated.
The OP is explicitly about how the numbers are not good and that they are the opposite from what Trump promised before he took office.
No one estimated 5$/gallon gas. Fresh Milk has gone up 890% since January of 2013. And gas is up 0.50/gallon since February of 2017. All in all, you have demonstrated an epic failure of math. Again.
But there are good numbers which you are avoiding discussing. You are only focusing on numbers that MAY become problematic which led to my statement. You didn't address what Trump has done to produce the good numbers or the negative ones and how those numbers may go up or down in the future based on his policies. Like I said, it was Doom and Gloom only. Very partisan post.
At no point do you address any of the numbers contained in the OP, so to bash me because there are "good numbers" out there is laughable and ironic.
I didn't bash you, I rather like your posting. I'm bashing your comments because they are biased. Now if you said "Trumps numbers are doing fairly well on the economy but these ones are negative and they could indicate a big problem in the future", then I would have no problem with that. I would ask you to clarify and we could discuss the issue as adults. But instead you come out and say "Trump is bad aaarrrrgggghhhh".
Anyone can afford to go to college with federal loans, not including grants or scholarships. That is a lie. It may not be Harvard but any state university is affordable as long as they can pass the requirements to get in.
Did you expect anything less from him? Simple fact is, the economy is absolutely booming right now. If Trump can keep working on trade deals and keep his focus on the economy, we can do quite well as a country for a long time. Here is one thing that gets overlooked, Since Trump’s election, 2 million Americans have stopped receiving food stamps. THAT is an incredible movement toward self-sufficiency. Spooky, one thing I am curious about is how Trump will handle the deficit. It's still increasing and he will have to make some good decisions to start paying it down and getting it back under control. Hopefully, if we keep progressing and he can bring in more money via redoing trade, he might start making some progress there. "Critics of Trump often ascribe this economic momentum to his predecessor, but in June 2016, right before Trump’s electoral triumph, just 32 percent of Americans rated the economy as “good” or “excellent.” Today, 62 percent do. That consumer confidence reflects wages that are finally rising for working-class Americans as the first quarter of 2018 saw the highest income growth for any quarter in more than a decade."
Trump’s top economics adviser lies about ‘rapidly’ falling budget deficit Larry Kudlow, the director of the National Economic Council, said that the deficit is “coming down rapidly” in a Friday morning appearance on Fox Business. The problem for President Trump’s top economic adviser is that the deficit is actually rising. https://thinkprogress.org/larry-kudlow-lies-about-federal-deficit-on-fox-business-7f4c5caac6d5/
That is a good question and one I don't have an answer to. Trump isn't afraid to spend, something I disagree with being a fiscal conservative, but its a little less painful because he is pulling in solid numbers. Eventually he will be held responsible for that spending however.
The way this administration functions it to simply SAY something , sometimes often and adamantly enough to get supporters to believe it as truth. Then when actual verified and accurate data is shown they can call it fake and be applauded by the minions. It is actually brilliant in its extremely deceptive and damaging nature. Right now there are those reading this who recognize its truth but must ignore it and dislike me for pointing it out....this will net be repaired or stopped unless they decide to do it and that is very unlikely. Welcome to state propaganda.
