Wasn’t Obama That would be the one guy who actually balanced the budget.

 

No, it was Clinton. Clinton had turned the deficit into a surplus and the debt was being paid down. Then lil Bush became president and drove the economy into the ditch. Although Obama reduced the deficit throughout his presidency, he could only go so far with the Republican obstructionism at play.

 

The surplus was on paper only and due to the dot com bubble that collapsed. Clinton did nothing and did not know in advance the bubble would happen.

The Dems cancelled July 4th and we jumped straight from the 3rd to the 5th.

I really don't know how you can come to that assessment. I voted for Trump in 2016 and the reason I did not vote for him in 2020 was because he pretty much failed to deliver on all of his major promises. All he did during the term was troll the libs.

1. He failed to deliver on balancing the budget and his plan to eliminate the deficit. If this policies were at least leading in the right direction I might give him a pass on this but essentially him blew up the deficit and no extrapolation could have shown any means of eliminating the deficit.
2. He promised growth rates of 4, 5, 6%. He peaked over 3% just after the tax cuts and then it dropped off.
3. He promised to replace Obama care with something better that would cover people with pre-existing. He failed to repeal Obama care and he never delivered a health care plan that covered pre-existing condition. Just before the election he was promising to unveil another plan.
4. This was a big one for me. He promised to place term limits on politicians. Eliminated the career politicians and essential drain the swamp monsters. We all know where this one went.
5.While I agree with his assessment of China his approach and trade wars were disastrous. China simply devalued and manipulated their currency some more and we ended up paying billions of dollars to bail out farmers that focus on production for exports.
6. A Mexico paid for wall. This was never at the top of my list but I thought if we could get a free wall why not. We all know where this went. Any wall that was built came from the taxpayers.

He governed through executive actions. Something he criticized Obama for and a statement I agree with because anything that can be done with executive action can be removed by one.

Even his accomplishment negatively impacted his promises. Cut taxes, inflate the deficit. Spend on military, increase the debt. Build the wall, take money from the military. Send out massive covid checks, mortgage the future for our children. I don't see how anyone that considers themselves a fiscal conservative can approve of Trump's performance unless you believe the most important job of a president is to own the libs.

 

And don't forget Australia.....soon to be part of China.

 

If conservatives were all the things you’re told to believe then it wouldn’t matter where you lived. But if you live in LA, NYC, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, New Orleans, Baltimore, or any other liberal hell hole it wouldn’t be cons who murder you. In fact, the oppressed people the left defends murder more people than anyone else. See how that works?
