Unfortunately for the current group of republicans that is all that matters. Conservative policies have disappeared. All they care about are social issues that probably have little to no impact on their lives but they are easy to take a side for and express outrage. Issues like China or the economy are complex. Issues like critical race theory where many that are raging against are boomers that probably have no children in the school system. They may have grandchildren or great grand children in the school system but then I challenge them to name one teacher their grand kids have or when was the last time they sat down with their grand children and talked about school issues? Our school system is broken but maybe the issue these boomers should take up is why do we spend more per student than anyone other country and have such poor testing performance. It is easy to point fingers at the teachers and school system but what about the parents. Do they take enough interest in their kids studies. Why do children of Asian Tiger parents perform so well. Is it parenting? Is it teachers? Is it money?

It is still a miracle considering the times they were in.

The question you should be asking is: what will we do about it. And the answer is: nothing. People simply wont go without the things they've become accustom to. We can rant for 20 thread pages about Disney's obvious racist purge of White men from film roles - but we're still going to go see the new Marvel movies when they come out (well some of us pirate that ****). We can be outraged when big-tech conspires to silence and eliminate anyone that doesn't submit to them - but we still buy iPhones, we still shop on Amazon, and we still use Gmail. Democrats spent decades building this power and if Republicans want to bring it down then the sacrifices will have to be great. I just don't see that happening because we have it too good. The country is slowly being eaten by a cancer of socialist illegal immigrant POCpremacy but as long as Hulu still works 99.9% of the people are content to just bitch and moan, and the 0.1% that actually take a stand are branded racist white extremists and taken out.

July 5, 2021:The National Park Service refused a permit for fireworks on grounds including COVID-19 precautions and the risk of wildfire. That had been the case since 2009 until Trump’s 2020 event.

In our neighborhood we've had 4 days of firecrackers, fireworks, sometimes until one AM !
